Chapter Ten - Other Identity

2394 Words
Clara was just patiently sitting on the passenger seat, Tristan asked where she was staying at this moment and she shyly told him that she’s currently staying in a motel.   So here they are, trying to fetch her things to that place, “So ma’am, you mean to say, you had to get married today because you’re being sold off to an old man?” Julian Luke inquired at the back, so Clara nodded at him before smiling.   Clara already went inside the car a while ago, she finally noticed that it was a Bugatti La Voiture Noire, it’s like 19 million each. So she was a bit shocked that this man she married is probably a billionaire too.   She thought, who would buy such a car if their salary isn’t even near to millions? But Tristan told her they’ll be riding a van to look for their new home and the motel she stayed in. So here they are, riding with those three men she found strange a while ago.   “Yes, you’re Julian Luke right?” Clara politely asked so Julian beamed as he offered his hands with glee.   “The one and only, always at your service ma’am,” he playfully winked. Clara just chuckled at his statement.   She stared at Julian, his hair is sandy brown and he’s wearing thick black glasses that complement his aura, from the looks of him, he looks very skilled in handling very critical things.   “No ma’am, I’m the only one who’s always going to be at your service, the most handsome Raven Leviticus!” Clara glanced at Raven in the back who’s now busy looking at himself in a mirror.   His hair is slightly curly with highlights of golden brown which made him look presentable aside from these two beside him, he indeed has the high class of appearance but is very windy.   “Genesis, would you shut those two up?” Tristan Jay Zaveri, Clara’s husband, ordered while driving.   Clara glanced at Genesis who was quietly sitting on the back before looking at those two, “Shut up idiots, your idiocy is reeking and leaking,” he harshly stated before hugging himself. Clara happily smiled, his hair is blonde enough to make his face brighter.   She secretly giggled before glancing at her husband, he is close to perfection, his hair is a tousled light brown that made his features more defined and manly.    Clara couldn’t hide her fascination as she stared at her husband intently; she has never seen such natural beauty of a man. “Wife, I might melt if you keep on staring at me that long,” Tristan commented on the driver’s seat, so Clara flinched.   She isn’t used to being called like that, she couldn’t help but blush at what he said, “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to stare,” Clara sincerely apologized, which made Tristan laugh that surprised those three on the back.   They thought they heard a horrifying voice, are they hearing this right? Their boss is laughing genuinely?   “Stare at me all you want, I’m yours now for the record,” Tristan reminded her again, so she just shook her head with his playful statements.   “Oh we’re here,” Tristan pulled the van over on the front of the motel, Clara unbuckled her seatbelts and was about to get out when she saw people from her aunt outside the motel.   She immediately hid underneath the passenger bumping her head at the compartment, “O-Ouch,” she whimpered while caressing her head.   Tristan got worried about how she reacted, “What’s wrong?” he worriedly asked before gazing at the outside.    His aura changed before looking at those three sitting comfortably on the back, “Get out and deal with those people,” Tristan firmly ordered before casually fixing his necktie.   “Woo! Finally action!” Julian Luke prepared himself before secretly taking out his Beretta 92FS with silencer; they were told to keep their real jobs a secret from their boss's new wife.   “Finally, my handsomeness would be flaunted,” Raven Leviticus smirked happily before c*****g his Uzi with silencer while Genesis, on the other hand, just took out his Heckler & Koch USP and prepared himself on the back.   “We’ll be off, boss, are you coming?” Julian Luke asked while opening the door of the van and wore their masks, but Tristan just shook his head before staring at those people from the outside.   From the looks of it, they’re also waiting for Clara inside of her room. They’re like 10 in total. He wondered for a moment how many we’re waiting for Clara on the inside.   “We’ll go around in the fire exit and fetch her things,” Tristan sternly stated, so those three just nodded before deciding to go out and talk with those people.   Tristan then stared at his wife who was hiding before reaching out to her hands, “Hey you don’t have to hide, I’m right here beside you,” he whispered, so Clara slowly raised her head.   “B-But I-I...I don’t want to go back there,” her voice almost broke, so Tristan's jaw tightened because of how his wife was reacting.   “I won’t let anyone take my wife, trust me, we’ll just go and get your things,” Tristan firmly reassured.   Clara was still hesitating, but she trusted his words and held on to his hands, “Oh and one more thing wife,” Tristan took out a very expensive earphone and Ipad with tunes on the compartment before placing them in her ears.   “It might be a little bit loud, so it’s best that you wear that,” Tristan beamed at her, so Clara wondered for a moment before shaking her head.   “O-Okay,” She thought that Tristan was just helping lessen her nervousness, but the truth is, Tristan just doesn’t want her to find out or hear that they had to kill.   “Are you sure you want to get your things there? We could just buy you new things if you want,” Tristan suddenly suggested, so Clara immediately shook her head at him.   “I have a special bracelet there that I keep in a box hidden in my bag, it was the only thing my parents left for me, I-I can’t leave that be,” she clenched her hands, so Tristan just nodded at her.   Tristan glanced out the tinted windows as his guys kept firing their guns with silencers, resulting in countless bodies falling to the ground.   “Okay, we have to take the route at the fire exit,” Tristan then easily lifted her waist that surprised Clara for a moment as he motioned for her to get out of the driver’s seat.   “On three we’ll run,” Tristan gazed at the outside again, Clara tried to look at where he was looking, but Tristan immediately motioned her bare face on the front. “I’ll start counting, just look at the other side,” Tristan firmly ordered, so Clara just nodded at him.   “One...three, let’s go!” Clara wasn’t prepared for their sprinting because she was expecting number two before three.   “Y-You said we’ll run at three!” She complained, she was having a hard time running with her heels.   “I did say three,” Tristan amusingly claimed, so Clara just glared at him, “You didn’t say two,” she argued, which made Tristan chuckle as they stopped on a door with a green light on the top.   “Okay let me check first, and start playing the music please, don’t take it off,” Tristan requested, so Clara just confusingly played the music of the Ipad and there’s nothing she could hear aside from the loud music from the headphones. “I-If you’re going to talk to me, please tap my shoulders,” Clara shouted, so Tristan just nodded at her before checking inside of the fire exit.   “Clear, let’s go,” Tristan grabbed Clara’s hand before they started ascending on the second floor. Clara mentioned that her room was there a while ago.   After arriving at another door, Tristan peeked from the small window of that door and saw that there were plenty of men in black clothing waiting outside of a room.   “That’s probably her’s,” Tristan whispered before he prepared himself, he cast a glance at his wife before patting her head.   “Stay here okay?” Tristan gestured his hands at Clara because he knew she couldn’t hear him, so she just nodded before hiding on the other side.   Tristan then went out of the door and took out his desert eagle gun with silencers, he didn’t hesitate to pull the trigger as several bodies were falling on the ground before they could even point their guns at him.   Raven, Julian, and Genesis did appear on the other side while running towards him, “We eliminated all of them on the front boss, there’s a huge commotion going on,” Genesis informed, so Tristan just nodded before hiding his gun.   “Clean this up, my wife is waiting on the fire exit,” he ordered before leaving them to clean up those bodies. He doesn’t want to scare his wife of what his other identity was.   Tristan fixed himself before coming back to Clara who was just patiently waiting on the stairs of the fire exit.   He took off the headphones before holding out to his wife’s soft hands, “Let’s go? It’s clear,” he smiled at her, so Clara nervously bit her lower lip.   “A-Are you sure it’s safe? My aunt’s people carry guns with them, I-I don’t want you guys to get in trouble,” Clara stuttered, so Tristan just pulled her gently on his side.   “I’m not afraid of a gun wife, plus, they should be more scared of me,” Tristan winked, so Clara just shook her head because she thought he’s being playful again when this is a serious problem.   “For real wife, let’s just go and get your things, we still have to get you home and rest,” After Tristan said those words, they went out of the hallways and saw that there aren't any hints of a dead body or even blood.   The works of Tristan’s men are truly incomparable to all of the mafia groups around their country, that’s why they fear them so much, “Go and pack your things wife, I’ll wait for you out here,” Tristan ordered before taking out his phone from his pockets.   Clara then nodded and happily went inside of her room to pack her things, it didn’t take her a while as she threw everything in her bag.   She took out the bracelet her parents gave to her and hugged it, “I’m glad that I’m safe and finally free for now mom and dad,” she whispered before deciding to go out.   Tristan then greeted her with a bright smile before reaching out to hold Clara’s hand. Clara still feels a little bit uncomfortable since she wasn’t used to someone holding her hands that firmly yet.   But it confuses her because it seems like she doesn’t mind if this guy holds her hands, “Shall we go?” Tristan invited, so Clara smiled happily as they both took the route at the fire exit.   “The guards disappeared?” Clara surprisingly asked after they arrived peacefully at the van. Raven, Julian, and Genesis were there sitting peacefully on the back. Tristan then started driving as he ordered his wife to buckle her seatbelts, which Clara did.   “Yes ma’am, they probably just got ashamed of the beauty that this face holds and decided to leave not just this place but the universe too,” Raven bowed while combing his hair, so Clara just chuckled.   She finds this group a little bit odd, but anyway, they could make her laugh. She has never been so genuinely happy ever since her parents died.   “I-I just hope I won’t trouble you guys, there might be people that will still be looking for me,” Clara nervously stated as she fidgeted with her fingers.   “Oh, they wouldn’t dare to look for you ma’am when you’re inside the house our boss because--” Raven was cut off when Genesis smacked his head.   “O-Ouch! What the? Why are you guys always hitting me today?!” Raven almost pouted but stopped when he felt the intense gazes of Tristan.   “O-Oh um, yeah, they wouldn’t dare ma’am they just won’t,” Raven nervously said as he pretended to be whistling like some innocent bystander.   Clara just chuckled, “Just call me Clara, ma’am is a little bit too formal,” she honestly said, so the boys just stared at each other before smiling.   “Ma’am Clara it is then!” Raven beamed as he grabbed Clara’s hands due to excitement, before he could even kiss the back of her hand, Tristan pushed his head away from her.   “Boys, settle down because we’re almost there and you still have work to do later,” Tristan firmly said, so those three at the back became serious as they quietly nodded at their boss. Clara tilted her head for a moment before looking at Tristan. “You’re going to leave again after we get there?” Clara tried to hide her loneliness in her tone, but she failed at that.   Tristan then looked at her before smiling, “I won’t be leaving, only those guys will,” Tristan reassured her, so Clara felt embarrassed for a moment.   Because she didn't want to be alone in a house after what had happened today, she relaxed comfortably in the passenger seat and leaned her back against the soft foam of her seat.   The entire ride was deafeningly quiet, making her tired enough to close the lids of her eyes. Clara's been through a lot today and she has woken up early to escape her aunt’s clutches and that old man.   Clara heard a soft chuckle before she heard the words she needed to hear the most before she slipped into the darkness, “Good night and sleep tight, my wife,”    To be continued…
