After Clara fixed herself and cured her bruise, she didn’t wait for Tristan to come back as she descended downstairs to check if her sweets were affected.
She sighed in relief when she noticed that it was safe from everything that had happened a while ago, “Great, now I just have to refrigerate this and it’ll be good to serve later!” she beamed after designing that blueberry cheesecake like a pro.
Clara then remembered that she heard a gunshot, so she curiously peered at where she was standing a while ago and looked for a small hole.
She sighed in relief when she didn’t see anything, “I knew it was an action movie, but why did I still look for the gunshot?” Clara talked to herself while shaking her head.
She wondered for a moment where Tristan was and just decided to watch the news while she patiently waited for the sweet to freeze up even if it’s just a little.
After finding the remote, she opened the flatscreen and lazily sat down on the couch to listen to the news.
“For our headline, the famous former actor and youngest billionaire, Tristan Jay Zaveri is now married? Who is the lucky woman? Let’s find it out later!”
Clara’s eyes widened after she saw a picture of Tristan walking out of his company while holding her hand, but her face was blurred.
She almost forgot that her husband was a famous human being, it’s only a matter of time until this spreads throughout the world!
“O-Oh no, this is bad, my aunt might find out where I am right now,” she panicked as she started looking for Tristan outside.
“Tristan? Tristan!” she exclaimed after seeing her husband casually walking right back into their house, “W-Were in the news!” she hastily informed after Tristan got closer to her.
“I heard, wife, it’s probably because of those employees,” Tristan’s jaw tightened before cupping his mouth as if he remembered something important, “I’ll brush my teeth first, wife, I lit up a cigarette a while ago, I don’t want you to smell me,”
Clara stopped for a moment before smiling. She appreciates that her husband does these little things for her, it’s the thought that counts.
She leaned in and inhaled Tristan’s scent, which caught him off guard, “You still smell nice for me, but I appreciate that you’ll brush your teeth,” she beamed before chuckling as she was reminded of the horror she was in.
“T-Tristan, my aunt might find out that I might be staying here with you! W-What should I do?!” she exclaimed as she followed Tristan towards their bedroom.
He went inside of the bathroom and Clara collapsed on the bed to think, “I think the perfect question is what should she do, wife? Now that she found out that you’re here with me,” Tristan’s voice echoed inside of the bathroom, so Clara stood up.
“You don’t understand, w-when I tried to escape, she has a lot of bodyguards and people that might be looking after me, I-I don’t want to harm you or anyone here just because of my presence,” she nervously explained, so Tristan opened the bathroom door and stared at her intently.
Tristan began to worry about her state as he decided to sit beside her and grip her hands, “You don’t have to worry about a thing, wife, you should worry more about what I can do to them,” Tristan reassured, which made Clara chuckle, she thought her husband wanted to fool around with his statements.
She didn’t know that her husband was dead serious about it, she gazed at her husband, but she frowned after she remembered that she married him for her not to be given away from that old geezer.
“I’m sorry,” Clara sighed before biting her lower lip, “I’ve caused you so much trouble already,”
“You haven't troubled me, wife and you will never be a trouble in my life,”
Clara couldn’t help but feel more guilty at how her husband reassured her, she stepped into his life and caused this commotion.
“Someday, I’ll be able to repay your kindness, maybe I should start looking for work!” Clara beamed before standing up.
“Bad idea wife, as much as possible, I want you to be close to me,” Tristan admitted, but Clara was too preoccupied with her thoughts looking for some jobs inside of her mind.
“Wife? Are you even listening to me? You can’t look for some work, there are still people looking for you, okay?” Tristan firmly reminded her, so she bit her lip.
“How about in your company, are you looking for employees?” she curiously asked, so Tristan c****d his head for a moment before nodding.
“I have no Chief Financial Officer anymore, maybe you could apply for that position,” Tristan smiled when he thought about that brilliant idea.
Clara frowned, “I don’t have the right bachelor degree for that, I finished marketing and not accounting or finance,”
“Plus I don’t think I’m capable or competent enough for that position,” she anxiously thought, so Tristan playfully smirked at her presence.
“That’s not the kind of attitude I’ll be looking forward to seeing for my next CFO in line,” Tristan stood up before pacing towards their main door.
“You prepare, wife, there’s a laptop near the bedside table and the printer would be in the other room,”
“W-What? For what?” Clara asked, confused at what her husband is telling her to do.
“Because your interview would be tomorrow,” he smiled before leaving his wife to think and wonder about what she’s going to do.
Clara was left dumbfounded inside of the room, but she was happy because Tristan was giving her a challenge, unlike her aunt who just instantly gave her a job where she wasn't even experienced handling that job.
She gazed at the bedside table and opened the drawer over there where she saw the high-quality laptop. It doesn’t have any password and was probably designed for a woman because it was pink in color.
“Was this his girl--I mean ex-girlfriend?” she talked to herself but shrugged because it looked like no one was using it often.
She then started searching things up and educating herself of what she’s about to do, no matter what happens, she’ll be prepared for the interview tomorrow.

Tristan went down to grab some gloves and a gun, he didn’t want to do this today but he had to because he was highly pissed off at what happened today.
He went to the back of the house and immediately noticed those men in black suits hiding from him on the trees and bushes, “Fools,” he commented because he thought it was funny that they thought they could hide from him.
Tristan professionally fitted a silencer on his pistol and slaughtered them all without mercy. It irritates him that people dare to lurk around his home.
He fished out his phone in his fitted tights and dialed a number, [Boss? You called?] Julian Luke answered on the other line after Tristan called him.
“Give me more information about Serene Crayford, especially the bloodline of Crayford's,” Tristan firmly ordered, he knew that Crayfords was almost at its downfall with their riches, he finds it odd how it could rise so quickly.
[Alright boss,] he cut off the other line and texted his people to clean those bodies scattered around their yard, it could be bad if his wife sees this.
Tristan then brushed off some dirt in his coat and was greeted by Raven Leviticus and Genesis Craig inside the living room.
“Boss we forgot to eliminate the people hiding on the--”
“Already dead, clean it up,” Tristan coldly replied as Raven Leviticus whistled sadly, he wanted to say something, but it appears that their boss is in a terrible mood so he has to pipe down.
“Boss, those people who hurt your wife are still alive,” Genesis Craig informed before giving him some keys, “They’re waiting in the basement, tied and bruised,”
Genesis informed their boss with a straight face, so Raven Leviticus couldn’t control himself not to laugh, “Sheesh, you’re truly terrifying sometimes Gen, have you already made a new gun?” Raven Leviticus collapsed on the sofa and comfortably raised his legs on the glass center table as if he lives there.
“Already done, I think you should check on Julian, I think he mentioned that he’s looking for you,” Genesis Craig casually informed before glancing at their boss, “Let me accompany you to the basement,”
“W-What? Why would he look for me when he just saw me a while ago? Plus I want to come with you and boss,” Raven wondered as he kept on combing his waxed hair.
Genesis then planted a blank gaze at him, “He mentioned about a strange woman you saw on the bar yesterday, he found some information,” he added, which caused Raven Leviticus to shakily rise from the sofa.
“H-He did? Gosh, my handsomeness is being pressured, I’ll be right back everyone, don’t miss me!” He swiftly left the house with fleeting joy, leaving Tristan and Genesis idly standing in the living room.
“There’s no information, isn’t it? Why did you manipulate him?” Tristan inquired, uninterested while swinging the keys in his hands.
He trusted Genesis to take care of some huge business proposals underground; he's skilled at manipulating people aside from dealing with guns.
“No reason,” Genesis replied with no hint of interest in expanding their conversation, “Julian Luke might need some help since they’re being followed a while ago,”
Genesis then pushed a button hidden underneath the cabinet furniture, “This is where I placed them a while ago boss,” Tristan then casually followed him as Genesis led the way.
The way towards the basement is dark and eerie, the way he used to like whenever he deals with fools that don't deserve to live.
After his parents were murdered by the people he found out were working underground, he forced himself to educate and trained to become stronger, ruthless until he found out the main group why his parents were killed.
His family was influential, to the point people couldn’t reach their peak until someone decided to step in and kill them because of the fear they might not be able to catch up to them.
Due to his highly organized mind and brilliance, he successfully became a billionaire at a young age and introduced himself to the world not just on the upper but also underground.
It didn’t matter how terrified he was when he was facing all of those difficult, harsh, hurdles, he convinced himself that he didn’t need those emotions to be feared and to rise.
He became a mafia leader of a group he founded, which is feared by many to avenge the death of his fallen mother and father. That was his only desire and dream ever since he was filled with hatred and anger when he grew up alone in this cruel world.
Tristan already killed a few of the small groups that helped that main group murdered his parents, he had ideas where those main groups resided and he would never stop looking for them until they’re all killed.
He was being drowned again with his dark thoughts until he decided to think about his wife, the only strange thing that entered his life that suddenly lit up something inside of him.
“Boss, I think it was a great idea that you married,” Genesis suddenly blurted out, so Tristan furrowed his eyebrows at him, confused at what the hell he was talking about.
Genesis didn’t say anything else since his boss didn’t ask anything about it. He, Raven Leviticus, and Julian Luke were great friends with him back when they were still kids, though Genesis thinks up until now.
They used to play a lot before until they found out that Tristan lost his parents and everything was passed onto his shoulders, everything about him changed even his cold treatment towards them.
All he wanted was to see Tristan find his happiness again aside from avenging the death of his parents, “We’re here,” Genesis informed, so Tristan opened the door and revealed to him numerous cells where he saw someone was tied up in a chair.
The eyes of that person immediately glared at them as Tristan casually sat on his recliner there and played with his gun, “So? What fool sent you here to die?” Tristan casually asked while clicking his gun. He wanted this conversation to be finished as much as possible since his time is precious to him.
Genesis went towards the men they captured to punch him in the face, “Answer when someone is asking you,” he coldly stated before punching him again on the other side.
The man who had just lost his teeth glared at them, “I-I’ll never tell you because screw you Zaveri, you’ll never get your revenge, we’ll also have your wife’s head!” the underling replied and Genesis silently watched the man’s body fall dead on the ground when Tristan shot him in the head.
“Wrong answer, what a f*****g waste of time,” he fumed before standing up and left the room, “Aside from the people of Crayford and Ferdinand, there are other people that are after my wife,”
“Inform those two about this,” after Tristan said those words, he casually left the room with his hands clenching into a grip.
“You’ll never touch my wife, I’d like all of them to see and try,”
