Ember (POV)
I had been sitting on the couch with Jason talking. He had been telling me embarrassing stories about Sam. I was finally starting to relax a little bit. I still felt uncomfortable being around everyone. But I was working on it. Old habits.
Jason was telling me about his mate. Her name was Jessica. She was quiet but outspoken and hated training. I liked her already. It was nice talking to Jason, he didn't make me feel uncomfortable and he was funny. I was starting to feel excited about meeting his mate. It would be nice to have a girlfriend to hang out with. I never really had one of them. Jessica helped out at the school and would be free in an hour. He was inviting me over to his place to meet her when someone took the seat beside me.
