Ember (POV)
I fell asleep in Xavier's arms on the ride home. I didn't realize how tired I was. I slept a lot the last few days on the pain meds, but I still felt exhausted. I woke up three hours into our drive. We stopped at a gas station and got gas and food. I got two subs and almost finished both of them. Sasha said my appetite would increase because of my wolf. She needed more calories. She said it would grow even more once I started training every day. Training was not something I was looking forward to. Not in my human body anyway.
The ride home was quiet. I noticed everyone kept glancing over at me. I saw uncle James looking at me a few times from the rearview mirror.
