Tom finished work in the forge his friends had bought for the phantom at auction. Renting the city forge from the Grossroads Blacksmith Guild was profitable but required uncomfortable acts. Tom refused to take a ring from Dan often. He could not appear in the blacksmiths' guild as a Humhum blacksmith. Phantom used any of his personas with the profession of blacksmith and rented a workshop. Inside the forge room, he must accept the persona of Humhum to create new epic items.
Dan was ready to give the ring to Tom for the night. But unfortunately for him, Tom felt the pleasure of hunting bad players. In a night of hunting, the crafty clone could get several million experience points! Why waste time hunting rabbits?
The friends bought the most expensive forge for Humhum and now the clone could settle down next to a friend. Tom didn't bother Snotty Mouse and settled on the next street in the establishment of a humble old mouse, Sharp-Eyed Weepy. The mouse was the master of the tailors' guild. She was delighted that a quiet aristocrat would live in her humble establishment.
Tom enjoyed the general accomplishment. The title Baron appeared on the new clone's status list every time. But the clone did not have an aristocrat ring. It was an unconfirmed title that brought a limited number of benefits. Now no commoner could challenge Tom to a duel. All the citizens of Grossroads were well aware that they saw an aristocrat before them. Snotty Mouse thanked all the Mouse patrons and posted a picture of the new little crown on the sign of his establishment. Each aristocratic guest brought respect to the establishment. The sharp-eyed Weepy was happy to rent a room to a humble aristocrat who brought great materials from his hunt for rare monsters. With the master tailor, Tom immediately behaved politely. He wanted discounts and an opportunity to sell unwanted trophies. The window of the room faced the back wall of the Snotty Mouse establishment. Now the clone could apply the stealth skill and quickly sneak into Dan's room.
After he visited the Tower of Destiny, Dan met up with Algrin and the elfess behaved with cold politeness. The Assassin took the gold and handed the swordsman a scroll with the spell Walk of Caution.

This powerful spell seemed flawed because it was only used once per day. But for a friend's tactic of using frequent clone changes, this skill was essential.
At midnight sharp Tom finished making another batch of epic items and hurried out of the forge. The clone quickly hid all the artifacts in the chest of his room. Phantom lay down on his bed and began to study the history of Zangar Castle. After a few minutes, his body was gone and the book fell on the bed.
Dan held out the ring to his friend so the phantom could take the form of another villain from the Antarctica faction.
"Just five thousand gold coins and I've increased the level to 36," boasted the young man.
"I work as a slave in a forge so you can spend thousands of gold coins. Hehehehehe, I was kidding. I enjoy raising my skills as a blacksmith. But our spending might make the elders of Grossroads suspicious," the clone tried to calm his friend's enthusiasm. "I fear that our adventure in the castle will draw close attention to your person."
"Are we giving up on this quest?" Dan was glad to tease the phantom.
"We'll do it! A level 14 boss can't be invulnerable. Even if we can deal him 1 point of damage per attack we'll destroy him! No, I overreacted. You can't go that long without sleep," Tom smiled.
"What a silly face you have," laughed Dan. "The Elusive Justin Hammer. It's the bastards who love villain names. Only an artifact as powerful as the ring allows you to become completely elusive."
"I hate to risk our precious. I'll destroy a couple of villains and go back to the Sharp-Eyed Weepy's establishment. I want to work longer in the forge," warned Tom. "In the morning I'll give you a few dozen new items. Now I'm going to have some fun with the scoundrels. The rascals will know no rest! I'm going to scare the bosses of Antarctica again today. You've come up with a great way to raise the level of the artifact. Too bad we can't give these rascals gold to make them stronger. I'll have to punish the bad players with their usual methods of violence."
Dan wished the clone good luck and went to the Snotty Mouse establishment to rest.
The evil ghost of Antarctica went on another hunt.
The bosses of the criminal organization did not think long and punished the vile traitor Tom Riddle. This wretched individual was put to sleep and set up several times to be attacked by dumb squirrels. The rabbits paid no attention to the sleeping player. The squirrels attacked anyone who made them suspicious. The rascal lost several levels and was banned from approaching the city. The bosses of Antarctica banished the wretched criminal to live on the outskirts of the location and eke out a miserable existence in a secluded place. For all the members of the organization Antarctica was surprised to meet the figure of the new Tom Riddle, who did not pay any attention to the old acquaintances. Inexplicably, any attempt to contact the traitor was punished by lowering the reputation of the curious with the city. The criminals understood nothing. They did not have time to deal with the question.
On the territory of the organization Antarctica appeared a vicious ghost that killed players at night. The creature always took the form of a member of the organization and inflicted sneak attacks. The villain would put opponents to sleep and kill them quickly with his daggers.
The bosses of the organization realized that some player had gained the ability to take the form of another player. This discovery excited the clever bosses. They didn't go blabbing about such a discovery.
Death meant nothing to the players. Losing a level and unnecessary experience didn't bother anyone. The Antarctica bosses realized that some justice fighter had decided to wage war on their organization. That's great! Now Antarctica has a chance to catch the overly cunning player and take away his way of such a magical disguise!
The organization has taken steps to increase security. Players have stopped traveling alone and even introduced a system of identification passwords. Now the scum will get in trouble when he wants to make a surprise attack.
The unfortunate bad players didn't know the full extent of Tom's power. The clone walked through the streets of the city to the square where Jolly Rat Alley began. Phantom applied the Walk of Caution skill and entered the alley.
A spell of total disguise hid the player from all senses of perception of the world. He became invisible and intangible. His footsteps became silent. The perfect concealment of persona. At the 3rd level, the spell gave the player 5 minutes of disguise. That was enough time to find suitable victims in the suitable place for the elusive assassin.
Dontrell Cockroach Hamilton and Ray Piranha Jones were having a good night and making plans to improve their position in this town.
"Ray, we need to infiltrate the adventurers' guild. Not all players take our nicknames seriously. Not many people know about the Antarctica organization. We have to spend our time and gold wisely. With our revenues, we have a chance to create a legitimate group. It's a delicate business. Not many of the bosses approve of contact with legitimate members of the Grossroads order," Cockroach whispered and sniffed the dungeon mushrooms. The bandit closed his eyes and fell out of reality for a few seconds.
His old acquaintance took the time to ponder the answer. The question was indeed vile and resembled a betrayal of the order of the organization. Piranha was not familiar with the bosses of Antarctica. But he understood that someone might take this course of action. It's always good to have a legal cover for your covert operations.
Bandit didn't have time to think of an answer. He fell asleep. When Piranha opened his eyes he took a quick look at the chat panel and realized everything. He had been killed by Justin Hammer. Ray spat on the Temple floor and grinned angrily. A large supply of experience and a few gold coins were missing! Piranha had seen Justin and knew the familiar couldn't have killed him.
Cockroach's scolding sounded nearby.
"The vile creature finished you off. After death, the smell of mushrooms stops working. It's a nasty feeling. Let's go to the alley, we need to warn the guys," Piranha shook his head.
"I'm not going to run like a fool through the streets of the town," muttered Cockroach. "It's the ghost that got us. b***h. Why won't that b***h let people do their business? Even in this world, there's a fighter for the rights of wimps and losers."
"There's no point in hurrying. But we won't incur the wrath of the bosses. Let's go, friend, and warn the boys."
The two losers didn't bother explaining to the stupid Temple servant that dead men don't have gold coins! How could they donate to the Temple if they were reborn with empty inventories? Do they need to buy an artifact to carry gold? The bandits felt they needed to punch this servant in the face. No need to give unnecessary advice to two brave guys.
Tom quickly gathered the gold and pushed two bags of mushrooms into his inventory. This stuff was expensive and Tom already knew a merchant who would buy the d**g for a fair price from an honest aristocrat who found strange resources on the street.
With the ring, all spells worked perfectly and reduced their cooldown by 44%.

Tom immediately put the new experience into the ring. Two million experience is a great start to the night. And you don't have to spend two hundred gold coins to buy it. Tom thought the good Dan Raven had overpriced the experience. One million experience wasn't worth a hundred coins. It was a good thing that they once did a major operation to saturate the market with level 19 items. These are the artifacts with the durability restoration property that they sold for a decent price. The citizens of Grossroads were shocked! Blacksmith Humhum managed to earn several hundred thousand gold coins in one day.
