Lia
......
I get to my cousin’s place and head to the bedroom, hearing voices from there. The door is ajar, so I knock once and push it open.
“Hellooo!”
“You’re late, Lia. We were supposed to be there by now,” Sabrina complains, walking up to me and pulling me into a hug, and I apologize.
“I’m sorry, guys; a lot happened,” I tell her, still in the hug, and she pulls back with a concerned frown.
“What happened? Are you alright?” Melissa says, rushing up to me, and I start feeling bad, seeing how worried my statement made them. So, I quickly assure them I'm fine.
“Yeah, I’m fine. I just over napped, and then there was Chris-”
“-Chris? Who’s Chris?” Sabrina asks, not even waiting for me to finish.
“No one.” I try to dismiss her, regretting mentioning the name. I can already see her asking twenty-one questions.
“Oh no, you’re not doing that. You’re a whole hour and a half later. The least you can do is tell us who this Chris is,” Melissa demands.
“Exactly,” Sabrina agrees.
“Damn! You’re all so nosy. Just let it go. He’s no one, just a guy I conversed with on my way here. That’s not a crime, is it?” I reply, proceeding to the bed, and they follow me.
“It is... when you spend over an hour talking to him,” Sabrina says, opening a drawer and searching for something, and I raise my brow at her, asking who said I was talking to him for over an hour.
“You did when you mentioned him as one of the reasons you’re late, and that blush on your face seals the deal, so come on. Who’s this mystery man?” she says, fixing her mascara, and I roll my eyes at them, giving up.
“Okay, he’s just a guy I helped. He forgot his wallet and phone at home, so I felt bad for him and settled his bill. He’s going to pay me back.” I tell them, taking out my phone, and they look at me silently for a moment before Sabrina speaks.
“You know what? Just take your bag because we’re already late because of Mr. Chris. We’ll finish this on the way. I have questions,” she says, grabbing her bag, and I frown at her. What does she mean we will finish, and she has questions? I just told them everything.
As soon as we walk outside, we find our Uber waiting, and we get in. My phone goes off, and I look at it to see a p*****t notification. He really paid me back. I smile and put my phone in the bag.
“Where’s Dylan?” I ask Sabrina since I didn't see him, and she said he was here.
“He’s in the house, sleeping in the other room. He had a headache. He took something for it but wanted to lie down for a bit.”
“And you left him alone?”
“He’s not sick, Lia. He has a headache. It’ll go away,” she replies, texting on her phone.
“So, Lia, is he hot?” Melissa suddenly asks, looking at me just as I'm about to start another topic so they can forget about my business.
“I’m never going to live this down, am I?”
“Oh no, you will, just after telling us everything that happened, starting from the beginning,” Sabrina now replies. I sigh, rolling my eyes, and tell them the entire story.
“Wow! Now you have two hot guys,” Melissa says after I finish telling them.
“Two hot guys? What do you even mean?”
“Well, there’s the dripping hot doctor, and now there’s this Chris guy, who, by your description, sounds just as hot.”
“I’m not sure exactly what all that means, but Ty and I are just friends, and as for Chris, I’ll probably never see him again. So I’m not sure what you mean when you say I have them.”
“You gave that guy your number. He’s not going to pay you and throw it away,” Sabrina speaks up this time.
“Exactly, hon,” Melissa agrees, checking herself in the mirror.
“We are here, ladies,” the Uber driver says, interrupting us, and I’m glad to be done with this conversation. We get out of the car and head inside. The hostess guides us up to the VIP section, and I must say the place is beautiful, the people are beautiful, and the music is pumping. We sit and order our drinks, and the lady goes to the bar to get them. She comes back and places them on our table.
“What’s his last name again? I want to look him up,” Melissa says, winking at me, and I shake my head in disbelief.
“My God, are you guys going to nag me about this the whole night? Can we talk about something else now, please?”
“It’s kind of hard cause the last time you were attracted to someone, you were in the first grade, and clearly, you are attracted to this guy. To go to the extent of eavesdropping on his conversation with the gas attendant, I mean, wow! That part is just creepy cuz,” Sabrina teases with a smirk.
“I was not eavesdropping on the guy; I was looking at the car.”
“Okay, if you say so.”
“Jack’s on his way,” Melissa cuts in, causing me to look away from Sabrina and look at her, surprised by what she just said. I thought we were having a girls' night.
“Oh wow, so much for a girls’ night,” I mutter loud enough for them to hear, and Sabrina's expression immediately changes to a guilty one.
“I’m sorry. It’s just that Dylan said Jackson was coming, and they were going out too. So I just wanted them to be here with us rather, you know, where we can keep an eye on them,” she explains, now with an apologetic look on her face, and I grab my cider, not even knowing why I'm surprised.
“Yeah, whatever, guys,” I reply, sipping on my cider, enjoying seeing them squirm.
After an hour or so, Sabrina raises her hand. I follow her eyes to see Jackson, Melissa’s boyfriend, who I just found out was in town, and Dylan coming over. They join us at our table and order their drinks, and we all start chatting and drinking.

A couple of drinks down, I start getting drunk, and I see Melissa move to sit on Jack’s lap before noticing Sabrina is also sitting on Dylan’s lap. I look at them, and, for some reason, I start feeling cold. I find myself unconsciously wrapping my arms around myself. I miss this. If Aiden never left me, I wouldn’t be here right now feeling alone, even though the room’s full of people. My mind starts drifting off to Tyler. Whenever I feel like this, he always makes me feel better.

Hours later, we’re all downstairs on the dance floor, and we are all pretty much drunk. But I'd be lying if I said I'm having a good time. I'm lonely. Being here with them and their partners is making me feel alone, and the alcohol is making it hard to ignore. We decide to get more shots at the bar, but as I turn to follow the gang, someone catches hold of my arm. I turn around, scowling and ready to repel, but I'm met with the familiar smiling face I've longed for all night.
My lips immediately stretch into a smile as I jump into his arms. He hugs me back, and I don't know how long I stay in his arms, not believing his here.
“When did you get here? I thought you had no plans tonight. Why didn’t you say you were coming?” I bombard him with questions, not even giving him a chance to reply when we finally pull back from the hug. I can't believe he's here. He says it was a last-minute thing, and he just got here and I ask if he's alone.
“I’m with Brady. He’s over there,” he says, pointing at his cousin who’s already dancing with someone before asking where the others are and if I'm having a good time.
“I am now,” I tell him taking his hand and leading him toward the bar where the others are. He makes a sign to Brady, and he nods. We get to the gang, and greetings are exchanged. Everyone knows him, and he also knows all of them. We drink our shots, getting him one as well, and Brady comes over, and I introduce him to Melissa and Jackson. He already knows Sabrina and Dylan. After another round, we go back to the dance floor, and we all have dancing partners now.
The DJ starts playing slow songs, and we hold each other close. I close my eyes, enjoying his warmth; it feels good to be held like this. The memory and feelings of how alone I felt this whole night come crashing back, and I open my eyes and look at him, thinking about how grateful I am for having him in my life and here right now.
The thoughts and the warm feeling of his hands on me make me shiver, and I start pressing my body more against him, and he holds me tighter. I inhale, loving the way he smells. I know this cologne. I’ve smelt it on him many times, but there’s something different about how it smells tonight. It’s intoxicating.
His hands slowly move up and down my waist, intensifying the need inside of me and making me crave more of his touch. I need him to touch all of me. My mind is telling me this is wrong, but my heart and body want it. It wants me to let go and lose myself in his arms. It's tired of always being in control, of analyzing every single step before it takes it. It's tired of thinking, and it only wants to feel.
I turn around, pressing my back against him before slowly moving up and down, our bodies rubbing against each other as I arch my back, giving him more access to explore mine. I feel his member through his pants, and I pool between my legs, my whole body on fire, a fire only he can put out. Everyone fades to the background, his body and hands on me, all I feel, and before I know it, I turn around and crash my lips against his.
The kiss is passionate as our tongues fight for dominance, and I melt in his arms.
I don't know how long we go on for, but I don't want him to when he finally breaks the kiss. We don’t look away from each other; we can’t as we steady our breathing. I raise my hand to his lips, still lost in each other’s eyes, as I slowly trace my thumb over his lower lip, wiping off my lipstick. He keeps my hand in place and leaves gentle kisses on my knuckles, and that does it.
“Please take me home.” I shamelessly mouth to him, causing him to stop, still holding my gaze. He lowers my hand but doesn’t let go and gently pulls me along.
We walk out of the club and take a cab, giving the driver Ty’s address. I press my lips against his when he gets inside the car, not even waiting for him to settle in his seat. He responds immediately, pulling me onto his lap, and things get heated again; this time, the kiss is urgent and needy.
My phone rings, but I ignore it, the taste of his soft lips holding me captive like an addictive drug, but the damn thing won't stop. Ty tries to break the kiss, obviously wanting me to answer it, but I hold him in place and keep going with no intention of stopping. He tries to speak into the kiss, saying something about Sabrina, but I don’t want to hear it. I weave my fingers in his hair and tug, causing him to hiss against my lips, but he takes the hint and stops trying to speak.
We eventually run out of oxygen, so we break the kiss to fill our lungs, and as if on cue, the phone starts ringing again, and I take it this time.
“Hel… lo,” I breathlessly answer, still on Ty’s lap, but my breath hitches the moment he starts trailing kisses down my neck.
“Lia? Where did you guys go? I saw you guys sucking each other’s faces off, and the next thing you disappeared, ” Sabrina asks and I open my mouth to respond, but a moan escapes me as Ty starts sucking on some sport in my neck, and the phone slips out of my hand.
.
.
We get to Ty's place, and he takes my hand, and we run inside. He crashes his lips against mine the moment we enter, and I push him against the door the moment he closes it. He lifts me up, and I wrap my legs around his waist, straddling him as the kiss turns hungry.
He heads for the bedroom, never breaking the kiss, and we land heavily on the sheets.
I start undoing his buttons, unable to wait anymore as the heat between my legs burns hotter with every caress, but he takes my hand, stopping me, and breaks the kiss. I look into his eyes, confused, and he smiles, raising my hand to his lips before laying gentle kisses on it.
“I’ve got you,” he whispers, placing a gentle kiss on my forehead before getting off of me and taking off my heels.
After setting them aside, he stands upright and removes his clothes, starting with his shirt. He slowly works on his buttons, holding my gaze like he's putting on a show for me, and I bite my lower lip, beyond horny, as my eyes trail down to his mouth-watering abs. He climbs on the bed again when he's unburdened himself and gently pulls me down from the headboard before coming over me, straddling my legs.
My breath hitches when he starts slowly moving up my dress, gently kissing the skin he exposes, starting just above my knees. He trails kisses up my neck to my shoulders after ridding me of the dress, and my fingers sink into the mattress as my eyes flutter shut. I moan as his hands travel down my back to unbuckle my bra before feeling his warm lips on my n*****s.
I weave my fingers in his hair, moaning louder as he licks and sucks my right breast while his left hand gently fondles my left one, making my n*****s rock hard. He parts my legs with his, positioning himself between them while trailing the kisses back to my jawline and then to my lips, and I wrap my arms around his neck, becoming putty in his hands. He leaves my lips, going to my neck again, and I tilt my head to the side to grant him more access while gripping the sheets. Ty proceeds to my chest before going further down, ever so slow and gentle, like he’s determined to kiss every inch of my body – his lips igniting a fire everywhere they touch. I feel his right hand slowly move south before stopping at the only piece of clothing I have left. I open my eyes and look at him to find him looking at me, and I know what the look means, so I nod. I'm sure. His fingers slip inside the elastic, and my head sinks into the pillow as I gasp out a moan.
"Mmm!" I moan louder, arching my back as he starts softly rubbing circles on my nerve bud, causing me to grip the sheets tighter, starting to tremble. He slides my panties down and removes them before trailing kisses up my inner thighs, and I shudder, calling his name when his tongue flicks over my nerve bud. My legs start to tremble, but he holds my thighs in place as he devours my lady bits last they were his favorite meal. My nails punch holes in the mattress as I continue moaning out his name while he turns my brain to mush. It's been two years, after all.
