Devina struggled to pull herself up and off the sofa where she and Jacob had slept. She had no idea if Jacob had left or if he was just in the bathroom.  Either way, she assumed she looked as rough as she felt, so not having him beside her, as the regrets of her drinking sunk in, was not the worst thing in the world.  She might have thought it was all a drunken dream had she not woken up still in Jacob’s shirt. Devina wrapped her arms around herself as she quietly looked around the room for her phone.  Finally, she spotted it on a side table. It was plugged in beside two Tylenol and a bottle of water. She shot back the pills, chugged the water, then slowly shuffled her way into the bathroom as she scrolled through a plethora of unread new messages- most of whom were from party guests who
