Devina struggled to pull herself up and off the sofa where she and Jacob had slept. She had no idea if Jacob had left or if he was just in the bathroom. Either way, she assumed she looked as rough as she felt, so not having him beside her, as the regrets of her drinking sunk in, was not the worst thing in the world.
