Absolute Power

               ‘That blue box that looks like a barrier is the same as Hannah-‘ I turned my head to look for her even in this situation and surely enough she is indeed here. Right when we are about to do something dangerous they decided to show up just how lucky can this day be? It was then that I felt like I need to finish this sooner so that I could not drag other people unto our business. That guy somehow sensed what I about to do his face immediately turned serious like he is committed on taking me on and taking our fight seriously.

               *CRACKLE!* *CRACKLE!* *CRACKLE!* *CRACKLE!*

               The lightning created by my ability traveled and enveloped my hands and materializes as dagger-like blades on my hands as the lightning illuminated the entire area. I saw his complexion stiffened after seeing me wield my weapons, was he expecting me to use my bare hands? Well, I don’t think I should drag this any longer since I have other things to take care of.   

               ‘What the hell?! He is able to manipulate his lightning just like that? I was never told of this no- we were never told of this. I received a report that some of leader Shade’s men encountered him the other day and manage to deal some damages to him but I don’t see anything off about him, the report said that one of his hands were cut off but it looks to me that he is perfectly fine.’ I looked around and saw that my subordinates are no longer here and followed when I ordered them to leave the mall. “Good now I can use my full strength since there no longer people and just you and I.” I faked a smile knowing that I will not be able to fight on the same level as him and with the other information about him seems to be outdated so I could not rely on the entire information and just trust on my own ability. ‘If taking him on will but some time for the other squads that the other leaders have formed then I will gladly offer my life and put this monster down before he gets out of hand.’ I steeled my resolve and charged forward into uncertainty.

               Weird enough, Rain answered to his opponent’s call and also charged forward. Rain suddenly threw one of his weapon towards his opponent which was immediately dodge with pure skill, Rain’s weapon struck the wall. Rain then threw his last weapon towards his opponent but was also dodged but due to the speed of Rain’s blades he was able to graze his opponent’s shoulder which forced him to let out a controlled yet painful groan.

               *KSSSH!*

               ‘That small scrape was able to make him groan even though he received a powerful punch earlier yet his groan sounded more painful than earlier.’ I looked at my phone and saw on the message that the troops are on the move and is clearing the mall as of the moment. I looked around and saw that they are already on this side of the mall evacuating civilians. An officer approached me and reported that most of the civilians are now outside of the vicinity. “Good job, now will you please take these two with you? They can be considered as civilians as well.” I ordered as I turned my head back to Rain’s fight. “You can’t do that! We can take care of ourselves.” Freya insisted as she slapped the hands of the officer that was going to bring to safety. “What the hell are you doing? You are daughters of some of the board members and your safety is my priority, I don’t want them barking at me later for not looking after their daughters even after I have already warned you.” I feel the nerves on my neck bulged as I lose my cool when a debris flew right above our heads and hit the window immediately breaking it into pieces.

               *KSSSHK!*

               “What did I tell you? We almost lost our head there for a second.” I warned as push them to leave. “We can take care of ourselves teacher Aron, you should take care of your own.” Hannah cut in with a calm tone. ‘These idiots-“ I grit my teeth in annoyance and turned to the officer. “You heard them right? You will be my witness that these young ladies did not heed my warning and wants to die because of their foolishness.” I said as I ordered the officer to leave the place and don’t risk his life for some idiots. The officer was hesitant to leave at first since he knows exactly how their families would react if something were to happen to them but then gave up when they repeated that they can take care of themselves.

               *BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!*

               ‘He really is crazy strong. He isn’t joking when he said that he no longer needs to hold back. In the short amount of time that we trade blows I can tell that he has been training really hard to achieve this kind of strength as if his punches screams experience and iron will but I will not fall behind, I also should stop taking this easy and start taking it seriously. He backed away immediately after seeing my hands covered in lightning knowing that I will be using it to attack. The ground shook as I used my movement ability against him.

               *BOOM!*

               My foot is already on its way to hit his head when suddenly he used his right arm to block my attack, he was able to adjust to my speed even thought I am not using it the entire fight. I felt a sensation like I had struck a devastating blow and broke his arm even thought he was strong enough to withstand my punches.

               *FWOOOSH!* *KKUK!*

But I did not stop there, after landing my right kick I immediately follow it up with a pivot and a frontal kick hitting him directly at his abdomen. I saw his entire body shook like something struck him really hard that his entire body is made of jelly. He fell on his knees while gripping his arm in intense pain. Just as I thought that cracking sensation was his arm breaking, I can even see his bone rising up on the surface of his skin, his arm immediately swollen as his skin on that specific spot turned purple signifying that something is really wrong with his arm.

               “Arg!” the sensation of my arm breaking sent chills to my spine as I feel my pulse beating like crazy. ‘That was a really bad decision! Breaking my arm even thought my special ability is superhuman strength and yet my arm broke like it was made of wood from a dummy target! I looked at his toes that manage to hit my arm and saw that he is perfectly fine. ‘What the actual fxck?! He did not suffer and injuries after that?! There is no way this guys is normal! Using an insane amount of strength will definitely affect anyone and no one is exempted. Not even me, I will still tend to get some injuries after using my strength against someone with the same or slightly similar ability. This is madness, this monster should not exist!’ I gathered my strength in spite all the pain that is crawling at my body, I forced myself to drag myself back away from him.

               ‘One can only do much in face of ABSOLUTE POWER and most of the time, they either lost their minds or give up on living after finding out that there are beings that is far more terrifying than everything that they used to be afraid of.’ I pity Rain’s opponent right now. At first he was a little arrogant and he seemed to have belittled Rain for his high but soon bit the dust after realizing how wide the gap between them. “To break an arm just by a single kick, was Rain holding his own strength when he fought the other guys at our school?” Hannah muttered as she covers her mouth in terror. ‘That must be the case since he knows how stupid kids his age can do.’ I thought to myself as I look at the pitiful state that his enemy is in.

               “Please- sp-are me!” he begged with tears and snot coming out of his eyes and nose. “Your organization were behind of some of the incidents that had happened for the past few years and you dare to beg for your life? Do you know how many lives and families have you destroyed? Even my life is destroyed because of your organization, I’m going to weed you all in the end so don’t worry.” I replied with a cold tone as I pulled the blades that were stuck on the wall and they come spinning back to my hands, slicing and cutting my opponent in the process.

               *ZHING!* *ZHING!* *THUMP!*

               his body fell on the floor as his blood soaked my shoes, I was about to extract some information from his head when all of the sudden a familiar clanking of chains reached my ears.

               *CLANK!* *CHHIIIING!*

               The same bladed tip chain wrapped my arm and immediately tightened. I looked at where the chain came from and saw his annoying face with the same smile etched on his lips on that night. “The injuries I got was life-threatening, you did not held back to me at all. I almost lost my life that night.” he said with the same arrogant tone. The other four that I saw that night appeared beside him then the one who carried him grabbed the chain from his hand and jumped on the floor. ‘The one with the monstrous strength-‘ I did not finish what I was thinking when he suddenly grabbed the chain and slam it on the ground carrying me along with it a couple of times.

               *BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM* *BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!*

               It was the first time that someone was able to put me down instantly. ‘That was a rough method of flaunting his strength. To think that he would mercilessly fling me around like that, I felt that one, a little.’ I thought to myself as the others jumped on the floor as well. “How do you fell? Painful right? Don’t worry, that’s just the beginning of it all.” The guy I beat up said proudly as if he was the one who beat me up. “Heh- you talk as if you were the one who did this to me, how sad.” I retorted with a smile on my face. At this point I can feel that I had some fractures around my body as my blood hinders my eyesight terribly. I even saw the reaction on Aron, Hannah and Freya’s face. Hannah in particularly was about to jump in but I stopped her before she does something foolish.

               Seeing that I still have the energy to talk and stand, the one who fling me around decided to do the same thing again but when he was about to slam the chain on the ground, a soft clanking sound that the chain made when it came in contact with the floor. Their heads immediately turned to where I was standing and saw me staring back at them with the chain melting in my hands along with the dagger at its tip. “What the hell?! He is able to melt down that chain, the dagger too?” the long haired guy exclaimed after seeing the chain fell on the floor like a molten metal. “Oops! I accidentally melt that down. Your organization can replace that no?” I said with a smile on my face and then suddenly moved in front of them, I saw the shocked expression on their faces especially the one who owns the weapon but my target was the one who slammed me on the ground due to the shock that they experienced I had a little time to attack that guy.

               *BAM!*

               I grabbed the chain and pulled him towards me and did the same kick to his guts, while he collided and collapsed with the wall the others with him snapped back after seeing their subordinate flew away and decided to backed away from me but before all of them can do so I punched the one I beat down that night making the only the three of them backed away from me. “Where is that cocky attitude of yours earlier?” he almost lost consciousness after taking a single hit on the face. I guess he is not fully recovered after what I did to him that night but still came to try and pay me back. “Wat da hel-“ he can barely speak the words properly. ‘Maybe I punched him too hard.’ Is the only thought I can think of after seeing his condition. “What the hell? We saw you losing almost your entire hand that night!” the long haired guy yelled after seeing me holding their subordinate by his neck. “Is that so?” I replied with a cold tone as I grabbed their subordinate’s face and slam his head to the wall next to me.

               *BOOM!*

               I felt the all vibrated even when we are a few meters away from it, that guy was not able to groan in pain I guess he lost consciousness the instant his head hits the wall. ‘Who are these guys?’ is the main thought that I have right now. ‘What do they have against Rain that they need to butt in on the fight?’ I turned and saw that the guy that Rain kicked away earlier was up and saw what happened.
