New era

After the incident with Lucio’s gang, the following days the principal gathered the students again addressing about the groups that the students made on the very first day of school. “I have been appointed as the new principal of Olympus just a few months ago but I will not stray from the path that was already laid to me. I call upon all of the students that we the so called leaders to come in front.” The principal said with a stern expression as he face us all while scanning everyone with his eyes. “I suggest that you all listen to me while I am being nice because if you do not do as I say right now, I will make sure that your parents will get to hear what you all have been planning inside Olympus.” He threaten as he scans the whole Assembly building for the alleged leaders of each group. I can see the worried look on everyone’s faces while some seem to have been gritting their teeth and sweats heavily after they heard the threat of the principal. ‘Looks like the ones having the same reaction are the leaders of each group.’ I concluded after I notice that some of them only showed the same reaction but they stayed silent to the very end. “I can understand if Mr. Lucio Fox cannot do as I say right now since he is still recuperating from his injuries the other day but I expected more from the other leaders.” He sigh with a disappointed tone as he snaps his fingers. “I wanted to settle this a little gently but you pushed me to do this. Please do it Mr. Clay and Mr. Evans.” He said as Van and his colleague walk towards the principal.

               Both of them glanced at each other and nodded their head. The one beside grabbed Van arm as he extends his other hand towards the crowd of students sitting in front of him, his eyes glowed with a white color as the students gasp in surprise after seeing that one of their teachers also has special abilities. Van then opened his eyes and extended his arm when all of the sudden a few students float in the air having the same reaction as the other students beside them. I turned my attention to the person beside Van and made some assumptions in my head as to what his special ability is. ‘How did he able to communicate with Van who exactly the persons that they are looking for? Is his special ability something like mind-reading or something?’ I thought to myself as I stared into his eyes when all of the sudden he turned his head towards me and smiled and nodded which caught me off guard.

               “Huh? What is this?! I can’t move!” one of the floating students scream in surprise after realizing that he cannot move a single limb. The others also struggled but could not free themselves from the seemingly mysterious invisible hand that has taken ahold of them. “So they are the leaders of the groups huh?” Van said as he adjust his glasses as he flashes a faint smile in his face, the man beside him nodded his head and confirmed. “Yes, they are the ones that are extremely disturbed but I had to double check to I scanned through their memories and found out that they are indeed the ones that we are looking for.” He confirmed with a cold tone as he closes his eyes.

               Van brought the students in front of the principal who already had his patience dwindling because the students decided to make it hard for him. “So you were the pricks that did not want to step up in front when I asked you nicely and yet you had the gall to call yourselves leader of your said groups. Aren’t you ashamed of yourselves? This is why you kids are sent here to learn and be responsible for your actions as responsible adults.” The principal said with a mocking tone when one of the students looked arrogantly at the principal and spat on the principal’s face. The whole staff and the other students were surprised about what he did as they all dropped their jaw in fright. “You think I am afraid of you? My father is the chief director of the international affairs. Try and touch a single hair on my head and you will see your small office stormed by the international guard.” He said arrogantly as the principal wiped the spit on his face and grinned hilariously. “Looks like we have a chick that had not seen the real world. Is it foolishness or utter stupidity? Either way you look like you are confident that your father would come to the rescue the moment I do a single bad thing to you, so why don’t we test that out shall we?” the principal leaned forward and smiled villainously.       

The other students were advised to step aside and put the son of the chief director of the international affairs in the center for everyone to see. “Hey what are you doing? Didn’t I tell you that my father will not sit still if you touch a single hair on my head?!” he yelled as Van keep him incapacitated using his special ability. “Oh I heard you alright but I want to test out if what you said is true.” The principal said as he sat on the sides comfortably. “Is the chief director of the international affairs connected on the call right now?” he asked his assistant who nodded and confirmed it. “That’s great then, let me hold the camera myself.” The principal said as the cameraman handed him the camera. “Hey what are you doing?!” the student cried as he started to panic and feel afraid of what is about to happen. ‘This is a public execution. Why did that guy had to do that to the principal of all people.’ I whispered to myself as I shake my head in disbelief.

               “Please look at this students, I want all of you to remember this sight for the entire time that you will be staying here at Olympus, the old Olympus is dead but the path is the same. The past Olympus’ generations have it easy since there are only a few number of students that needs to be taken care of but now it’s different, so we decided to make some drastic measures about the number of the students if some are thickheaded like this guy here, please take note that this is only one of those measures that we decided to implement. But if you want to learn more about the others then you are free to stray from the path that we are leading you and we are happy to oblige and show you the remaining ones” the principal announced as Van steps in front of the student and entered as stance.

               ‘What is he planning to do? Shxt!’ I thought to myself the instant I saw teacher Van take a stance like he is about to throw some punches at me so I repeated what I said earlier. “I told you that you should not harm me in any way-“ but I am interrupted when all of the sudden he cut in. “If I were you I would shut my mouth and grit my teeth for the incoming pain that I am going to experience. I was not able to test this technique out since my sparring partner is agile as fxck so forgive me if I can’t control it too much. I am less merciful than Rain Ambro.” He cut in as my senses danger from all directions. Fear immediately pierced through my heart as I saw teacher Van’s figure as something horrifying like a soul reaper ready to take my life away so I tried to ask forgiveness in the last minutes but then I realized that I can no longer open my mouth, it was then that it sink to me, I was really fxcked.

               I saw Arnold was about to ask for forgiveness when all of the sudden a punch from teacher Van broke the silence inside the assembly building.

               *BAM!*

               It felt painful even just by watching on the sidelines that I could not imagine what Arnold feels right now. Then more punches came flying towards Arnold’s defenseless body.

               *BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!*

               We students were terrified by what we just witnessed, Arnold getting showered by punches by one of our teachers. “What the hell!? How come he can still stand after taking that many punches?!” my roommate exclaimed after seeing Arnold still on his feet. “Are you an i***t? Teacher Van is definitely holding him up like that. The real mystery is why teacher Van’s fist still hit Arnold when none of his fist physically touched him.” I said after reminding them what teacher Van is capable of. My roommates just stare at me like I was some kind of a madman. “Hey Lance, do you think everyone here is blind? Common sense dude, you can’t move an- ah shxt!” he immediately stopped after realizing what I meant.

               ‘That kid- is that the technique that he wanted to test out on me a few months back? It must be really painful after takin some of Van’s punches, he is using his ability as gloves after all.” I said to myself after feeling the same ominous aura when he used that technique at me a few months ago. Van’s ability is some kind of telekinesis, he can grab something from afar but telekinesis is a really common ability so he wanted to test out some techniques that will make his special ability stand out more from the others and this is the method that he arrived at. Using the invisible force that grabs the things that he wants to grab and use it around his fist to repel the things that he want to grab.

               Everyone watching what happened gasp in terror as Arnold passed out from intense pain as he sprayed blood all over the floor and only then they decided to finally stop the public execution and carried him out on a stretcher. It was to set as an example to everyone who decided to break away from the rightful path that every special individual should tread, the other group leaders were shocked that the current Olympus will not let anyone off easily even if their backing is something as formidable as the son of the chief director of the international affairs. The principal then called off the sessions for today because they are going to make an immediate meeting.      

               “I apologize on my son’s behalf principal, I always told him not to do something foolish as that but to think that he will even use my name so that he can’t be punished. I am terribly sorry if I did not educate my son properly.” The chief director of the international affairs apologize as he bows his head on the call as the principal accepted his apology. “Please make him into a better person principal.” The chief director pleaded. “No worries, I will make sure that your son will be reformed during in his time here.” the principal promised as the call ended after saying some important things. “Will this road be alright principal?” his assistant asked as he sat on the couch with some other people. “Yes, you have seen what happened right? The old Olympus is dead, we are the new generation and we must uphold righteousness and not bow down and cower in fear in front of power. We will not be the same as the old Olympus was, this is a new era and it needs new solutions.” The principal replied as he stands near the window. “We will always be by your side principal.” The other people inside the room bowed down. “I need to do this much, or father will see appointing me in this position as a failure.” He added with a determined eyes.
