The darkness was all around her. There was no sounds and no light. Fear creeped into her mind as she stood there alone. She went to call out for anyone to help her but her voice made no sounds. She tried to close her eyes and take control of the panic that was froming in her mind. She embraced herself falling to her knees letting out her silent cries begging for someone to hear her. After what felt like hours, Alana stopped and placed her hands on her face trying to calm herself from the tears thatstill wracked her body. She had no clue where she was. She had no way of escaping the dark abyss that consumed her in its embrace. Taking a deep breath she finally got back to her feet trying to make her way out of the darkness, her hands in front of her trying to feel for anything in the deep midnight emptiness that consumed her. She placed one foot in front of the other trying to make her way through the dark night her hands flailing, grasping at the nothing. Suddenly she felt as though she were falling, her body gave way almost as though she were floating on air. There was a rush of water that engulfed her, dragging her under its cool surface. She opened her eyes looking for anything and she suddenly noticed the water was lighting up in a brillaint array of blues. A glowing soft light came towards her. She knew in her head she should be afrai of this light but she felt a wamrth in it that took her fears away and left her with a euphoric feeling of peace. She felt her soul calm in the glowing lights pressence. She felt a need to reach out and touch the golden light before her. She could feel a tingle start at her fingertips and move its way up her arm. She felt her body changing. The glowing light began to engulf her as though it was consuming her. Alana closed her eyes and let it take her over. The feeling of calm washing over her. A voice rang out in her head. Her eyes opened suddenly trying to see who it was calling out her name. She looked aorund trying to see who it was, but, she saw no one there. "Alana," the voice sounded soft and tranquil as it spoke. "It's me Alana. Your wolf."
"My wolf?" Alana was shocked. She didn't know she would get a wolf. "Where am I?"
There was a pause before her wolf answered in a soft melodic voice. "You have been put into a deep resting state as your body changes to accept me. We meet here first and then on the first full moon you will have your first shift and we will meet again. Abraham was given some great strengths at his birth and you will recieve some of this when you shift. We will be the first of our kind. Half siren and half wolf. You are very special. We are very special."
She was confused by everything happening and her voice sounded scared as she spoke. Fear had crept in and she couldn't hide it. "What about Abe? Will he change also?"
"He already has and doesn't even know it yet. He was given a peice of you. He can now swim in the ocean like you do. You will find you won't need to be in the water as much. You are still from the ocean of course but we can live just fine without water now. You won't need the necklace anymore. You are both connected on a very deep level now. Be sure to build on it and tend to it. Nurture this bond you both have created and the possibilities will be endless."
"Why is it so dark in here?"
"So that you may accept the gift of light you are being given. You are going to wake up soon. There is someone waiting for you. waiting for us." Everything went silent again and the glowing golden light has simmered down, no longer casting its tranquility and peace. She was alone in her own thoughts and no sounds. She felt a hand pulling her up. She didn't have time to react as something was pulling her to the surface. She took breath into her lungs like she was breathing for the first time. Her body was wet and cold and she couldn't stop her shivering. She was still in the pitch black of night but now she was on land and no longer consumed by the water. The voice of her wolf sang out to her again, "Time to close your eyes and rest. We have a lot happening in our future." Alana instinctively closed her eyes as she lay her head on the ground allwoing her body to relax.
She felt strong arms wrapped around her as she stirred in bed. She moved to look behind her as she slowly opened her eyes. There was a bit of sunlight peaking through the curtains casting a soft yellow glow on the bed. She sat up suddenly realizing she was in the arms of Abraham once again. She looked into his deep green eyes as they opeened quickly with her rushed movements. "What is wrong little kitten? Are you alright?" He sat up stroking his hand up and down her bare arm. The sensation causing tingles to erupt like little volcanoes on her skin.
"I met my wolf." Abe looked at her with surprise written all over his perfect face.
"How?" he had never heard of this happening before and he knew usually if you were granted a wolf it happened during th efull moon. "It's not the full moon yet. How were you able to meet her?"
"How long was I out? She came to me in a dream like state. I talked with her but didn't get to see her. She came to me as a glowing golden light. It felt so warm and peaceful. It was such a beautiful experience. She said that I gave part of myself to you as well as you gave to me. You can swim like a siren now Abe. You can breathe in the water." Alana looked away and out the window her body feeling a call that she hadn't felt. A need to be close to water. She felt the need to touch it and let it run over her and submerse herself in it. "I need to be in the water. Is there a water source close by? I can feel my body yearning for it. I need you to go with me Abe." He jumped up out of the bed grabbing his shorts and swiftly pulling them on as Alana climbed out her eyes glowinga beautiful purple. She felt the water rushing inside her. She needed it. Abe was able to throw a dress over her head barely getting her to lift her arms into the straps. She moved methodically with a purpose deep seeded inside of her. The water was life to her. It called her like a newborn baby to its mother. Abraham grabbed her hand as he laced his fingers with hers. He was enthrawled with her as she glided across the grounds making her wy to the source of water that beckoned for her.
The waterfall cascaded down roaring down like thunder. The rocks broke its fall below, spraying everything in its path. Alana stood there paused by the edge. Abraham moved closer to her side never releasing her hand from his. "What is wrong Alana?"
Her ghostly purple eyes looked deep inside of him. She gestured to the water lapping at the edge of the embankment. "Come, we need to enter together." Her voice was almost hollow as she spoke. Abraham had never heard anything like it before. He did not argue with her. He looked down at their feet as they moved one foot at a time into the water. It was cool and inviting. the sun was beating down on them as they walked further into the water. She moved closer to him and pulled him down to her lips kissing them as they fell together submerging themselves into the cool water. Abe started to panic as they sank deep intot the depths, but Alana never faltered as she held onto his hair pulling him towards her. She finally pulled back giving him some space. He stopped flailing and let the calm take him over.
He could here himself call out to her, although, his mouth never moved. His voice was strong and resignated in her head. "Can you hear me? How am I breathing?"
He saw her lips curl into a beautiful smile. Her eyes danced as the purple glow continued. Then he heard her sweet angelic voice in his head. "You and i are one now. We gave to each other when we mated. This was my gift to you. We have combined our souls as one and we can do everyting the other can do. It's why we had to do this together. We were being called to the water as one."
