Everyone was surprised seeing their master standing in front of them while they were lying on the floor of her room. “Young master, are you okay?” the first chambermaid stood up and check her pulse and neck for any signs of difficulty of breathing or colds. “I'm fine. It was just a nightmare. You all can go back to your post.” The look in their eyes were pitiful that even she couldn't hide it from them. She just smiled and assure them that she's pretty fine. “I am fine, really. You'd better go back to your post, or I'll kick each of your butts. Now!” Afraid that she'd do it, all of them hurriedly stood up and returned to their post. One by one, one after another, they run. Amberlene was smiling seeing them panicking. She didn't close the door yet and saw one last butler still bowing in front of her. She was curious on the face of the butler, and she asked her to straighten up with his eyes closed. “Are you new here?” she asked, but the guy is still bowing his head. “Straighten and closed your eyes.” He followed her instructions and when he raised his head, Amberlene was surprised of a handsome feature of the butler. “My name is Conrad Asistio, young master. I am your new butler.” Amberlene couldn't utter any words. She was mesmerized by his good looks. He was the same age as her. His eyes were still closed while Amberlene keep on staring at his feats. He has a pointed nose with thick eyebrows and kissable lips. “Oh my God!” Amberlene suddenly utter those words with excitement. “Are you for real? My butler?” “Yes, young master. He is my nephew.” She heard footsteps from behind and when she turned back, she saw the oldest chambermaid bowing her head in front of her. It was her first yaya to be exact. “Yaya?” She immediately run towards her and gave her a big and tight hug. She even kissed her cheeks several times. But the old woman still didn't open her eyes. Because of that, he immediately sent Conrad out of her sight, so she can talk to her yaya. “You can return now, Conrad. Turn around and head back to your post.” “Yes, young master,” he politely replied and turned around, walking straight and leave the both of them happily seeing each other. “You can open your eyes now, yaya.” “Good to see you, Amberlene. I miss you too.” “Is this for real? You're back now, yaya?” “Yes, I am. For real and for good, my darling Amberlene.” “Then, why don't we go back to my room and have a chit-chat?” “My pleasure.” Amberlene was still holding into the arms of her yaya while returning to her room. When both of them entered and closed the door, Amberlene greeted her yaya again with lots of hugs and kisses. “You're still the same you, Amberlene. Enough of your hugs and kisses. Let's talk about what happened earlier.” The young master whose bossy around her chambermaids and butlers was following her yaya. “I really miss you, yaya Dolor. That is why I can't bear to kiss and hug you so tight.” Yaya Dolor was very happy seeing her missing her so much. It was her only yaya. The yaya Dolor who knew her for years since young. It was her yaya Dolor who can see and look at her face to face without judging her. It was her yaya Dolor who encouraged her as well to look at the bright side of the world. Yaya Dolor was always around her when her parents was busy with works and travel and appointments across and outside the country. That is why she loved her the most. Her yaya Dolor was not around when she reached the age of puberty and Amberlene to lead her life she always wanted without her. It was her yaya who taught her to be brave and strong to face her life alone. She was very lonely when her yaya left. She doesn't want to let go of her, but her yaya assured that she'll come back. And now, she's right in front of her eyes talking and smiling with her. “I see. So, that was the reason why you left, yaya?” Her yaya Dolor left her because her husband and son were robbed. And she must take care of their burial. It was heartbreaking to hear that she was not there to comfort her second mother. “Yes, my darling. And now I'm back.” “Are you okay now, yaya? Is your heart still hurt from losing your loved ones?” She saw a bit of sadness on her eyes, but her yaya was strong enough to smile, assuring her that she needed not to worry. “It was almost ten years ago, darling. And I feel much better now. Just like the day I left you, I managed to get over with the pain and sadness in my life,” she answered. “Life has so many ups and downs. It's up to us whether we should go with the waves or let the waves drowned us until we all realized our mistakes. It's not even the end of the world. We have to consider ourselves lucky that we survive, that we are still living, and we are alive.” Her words of wisdom started to amazed Amberlene again. She was correct. It was ten years to be exact that she left her. And because of her, she was able to survive leaving alone without her parents. “Change topic, yaya Dolor. Is he really your nephew?” she was very curious of the new butler she saw earlier outside her room and she asked with excitement. “Yes, darling. He is indeed my nephew. I told him to become my substitute when he was still 15 years old.” Amberlene was already surprised hearing her saying that she was her nephew, but she even more shocked to hear that Conrad already existed a long time ago in her mansion, which made her curious to know why she only saw him once in her entire life.
