A week passed and the vacation was over. Iorwen actually waited for him a bit to come and collect his pendant if it even belonged to him. It didn’t freak her out he was invisible, idiotically she was more intrigued by this. Somehow she felt empathetic since she herself was kind of invisible to male population when it came to dating.
She didn’t needed a boy in her life but even though she didn’t accept, she was love deprived and needed someone to love her whole heartedly.
But she was not disappointed when he didn’t show up. A boy that good looking would not be interested in her, atleast in this life.
Rachel picked her up for school, she had her own car but driving in snow covered road was not fun so she allowed Rachel to drop her instead.
“I hate going to school after vacations.” Rachel grumbled.
Who didn’t?
“I thought senior year will be more interesting.” Iorwen said thoughtfully.
“It’s just more stressful.” Rachel commented.
Absent mindedly Iorwen’s hand held on to the pendant she was wearing.
“What the hell is that Haywell?” Rachel sounded incredulous.
“A pendant, I thought a fashion freak like you would know.” Iorwen said dully.
“Why are you a tomboy like you wearing it?” She asked with speculation.
“New Year present from lovely aunt.” She said adding another lie.
“And you are wearing it because?”Rachel continued with questioning.
“Because I like it.” Iorwen simply stated.
Rachel nodded still not convinced.
As soon as they reached school, Rachel ran towards Lucas and pulled him for a kiss. As much as non romantic person Iorwen was she loved the concept of pda, since it said we don’t give a damn what you think, I want to get kissed! And for some reason her mind thought about Tristyn.
She leaned on the car door and smiled looking at her friends. They were so much in love it was sometime frustrating and gross but they seemed happy and that was enough for Iorwen.
“I can kiss you way better if you feel jealous or something.” The boy of her thoughts said.
Tristyn Moore looked absolutely, deliciously handsome.
“Yeah go ahead and what will my friends do I am doing to nothing but thin air.” She said hiding all the breathlessness she felt on seeing him.
She noticed her remark about his invisibility hit him and coldness passed through his otherwise sparkling blue eyes.
“Didn’t you miss me?” He asked half teasing but exasperation in his tone.
“Not really? Aren’t you habitual of being missed?” She said getting aggravated at his playboy tricks.
Now he glared at her and she glared back.
“Nin, let’s go.” Rachel called out.
Iorwen left Tristyn feeling utterly conflicted. He was so gorgeous but why the hell she was even more angry and defensive around him.
Now she has offended and kind of felt relieved that he would no shift his attention to some other girl, if they could see him.
She entered Bio AP and no one was with her in this class from her friend group. She went and sat down on her usual seat, alone. Girls were too scared to sit with her and boys were either ignorant or weirded out by her personality. She enjoyed the seat all to herself.
As she waited for class to begin, she plugged in her ipod and closing her eyes she hummed the music in her head.
“You know you are getting all the attention from a really dashing guy just because I am visible only to you.” Tristyn was seating next to her.
Her heart in her throat, she took off her earplugs.
“What the hell Tristyn?” She said annoyed for shocking her.
He looked at her feeling pleased for some reason, all his coldness gone now.
“Mind if I join you?” He asked not waiting for her answer and already seating next to her.
She shifted and created a safe distance between them.
“No one can see me remember, so if you act all stiff sitting alone people might think something is wrong with you.” He said getting comfortable on the seat.
“What do you want?” She asked appraising him all this while.
“To talk to you, what else?” He said too innocently.
“So talk and don’t tell me you are here for pendant!” She said automatically clutching it protectively.
“For now I will leave it with you, it looks beautiful.” He said with softness in his eyes that made Iorwen uncomfortable.
She turned away and started reading whatever was written in front of her.
“I am amazed how you can find biology more intriguing than me?” He said with a ring of truthfulness.
“Because biology is not so full of itself.” She said not able to think anything smarter for comeback.
It was like around him she lost her sarcastic edge.
“Well I can help you with practical biology if you want?” He said grinning impishly.
“God, that was soo cheesy!” She said feeling disgusted to a certain level.
Tristyn just shrugged and smiled showing off that adorable dimple.
This guy was as aggravating as any other good looking boy at her school was, he was a classified playboy, the type of boy she hated.
“Why do you dislike me, is it the invisible thing or are you into girls?” He asked propping one arm on his elbow and cutely tilted his head towards her.
“Nothing, it’s just that you are you.” She stated simply.
“What is wrong with me, I am incredibly good looking , witty and with passing time you will realise I am intelligent and have a golden heart.” He arrogantly listed his qualities.
She had to agree on one thing, he was strikingly good looking. But as much as delicious he was that was not the thing that attracted Iorwen; she needed something more in her hollow life.
Before Iorwen could answer his question, the classes started filling up and she exhaled in relief.
“I’ll keep you entertained during class.” Tristyn said lightly.
“I don’t need that, in fact I don’t need you. Leave me alone Tristyn.” She said frustrated, while students around gave her a weird look.
She glared at them and they looked away.
For a second Iorwen thought she saw hurt in his incredible blue eyes.
Suddenly he got up and placing both his hands on table he bent towards her.
“I’ll make sure that all you need will be me. I promise you one thing that you might live without me, but you will not be able to live without me.” He said it like a threat and challenge as if she hurt his ego somehow.
“What will you do, stalk me now?” She said defiantly.
Tristyn had been invisible for a long time and before that he had all the attention in the world, he missed that, he missed being loved, adored and now the only girl who sees him didn’t even like him. That hurt him more than it should. He wanted to be noticed now.
He would have ignored her after few tries had there been any other or prettier options but for now she was the only choice. And he will make sure he kept his promise to this incredibly difficult girl.
“No my soul mate, I will woo you in Tristyn Moore’s way now!” He said giving her devious smile followed by a wink.
As he left, Iorwen was left breathless as her eyes followed the gorgeous guy only she could see. Was this lucky or unfortunate? She had an invisible wooer now.
