All Tristyn lived for was attention of girls and when he was cursed with invisibility all that was gone. But by some miracle, she could see him; one decently pretty female could see him. He was all excited about it now; he wanted to try his skill on someone. He wanted to charm someone like he did before.
He saw them leave in a car and learned the number for reference. Sadly invisibility didn’t come with super speed or strength. He had to follow the girl old school way.
Nin, her friend called her, short for Nina? Katrina? But none of these names suited her. He did know for sure that one of her friends was Rachel. So he used his cell phone to look up Rachels in their town, one with same age as Nin. Many came up in the search but there was one who went to the Teragaron High School. He knew it was her because beside her stood the same guy who came with the jade-eyed girl today.
My new year resolution: Back to be a playboy.
He loved being a player, the look of adoration on many girls, jealousy over him, the status of heartbreaker, cool and hot, fun loving! He couldn’t wait to get back in game even if there was only one girl to have fun with.
By the look on her face, she was clearly smitten and his work was cut out. Few sweet words, smiles with that god gifted dimple and next thing she will be falling for him.

Iorwen was not sure what she saw was real or she had just got trapped in a terrible fate with a spirit. Being too brave had cost her. Yet all those worries were not stronger than her attraction to the guy. She groaned at her stupid thoughts and obsession. She prided on being the not being an emotional fool or sappy mushy girl. She couldn’t this attracted to a (probably) dead guy.
She should be scared but she was not. Instead she had this asinine desire to meet him again!
“What are you thinking? We have only two hours for the New Years Bash and I want you to concentrate on clothes Nin.” Rachel wailed getting hyper with passing time.
She was already dressed in a short red strapless dress and golden heels. She had adjusted her frizzy hair in a beautiful wavy manner and she was panicking only for Iorwen who hated dressing up.
“I am going like this or not at all.” She said giving an ultimatum to her friend.
Rachel sighed and closing her eyes she started breathing slowing trying to control her anger.
“Fine, don’t be difficult and come in whatever you are wearing.” She said giving up.
Iorwen’s face lifted in a victorious smile. She jumped from the bed, quickly dressed up in black jeans, crimson full sleeves T-shirt and a black biker jacket. As Rachel was almost giving her death glare she ditched sneakers for ankle length black boots.
Her eyes stopped on the pendant dangling in her wardrobe. And without over thinking her hands reached out and she put it on. Rachel was busy texting so she didn’t notice and Iorwen sighed in relief.
“Don’t complain when you find every female species dressed in something nicer.” Rachel said showing her a picture on her phone that Lauren sent.
She and Oswald were already at the party. Iorwen noticed that the girls in picture were dressed in one piece and dresses even in freezing winter. Fashion could actually kill.
“You know it doesn’t bother me what anyone thinks.” She said placing her companion, Ipod in her jacket pocket knowing well she will need it in the party.
Rachel nodded with a grin.
Lucas came few minutes later to pick them up. Sometimes Iorwen wished she was a guy, just like Lucas was dressed in casual attire for the party, she also would never have to worry about dressed and shoes and matching....
“We are getting drunk tonight!” Lauren shouted pulling them for a hug as soon as they entered the loud party.
They had no idea whose party it was, some college guy Oswald’s brother knew and got them all invited. Iorwen hated drinking, because she had seen her aunt in half delirious, half oblivious state and she didn’t want to be that condition. She was quite closed with her emotions and feelings and shared it no one, no one!
But she loved dancing so she joined in with everyone. This might be the last year with her friends, she would be in some college far away. She would miss them, they were the only ones she had. She eyed them with love.
“So you actually managed to scare ghosts off with your ugliness.” Brandon Shaw said sneering at her.
“Yeah only a moron like you seems unaffected and still lingers around.” She responded in a dull tone.
Usually girls have bitchy girls to deal with but Iorwen being more like a guy had Brandon Shaw as her personal demon from hell.
“What are you doing at a party? You don’t even have proper clothes to wear.” He taunted but no one dared to laugh.
“Only a girl like you will worry about clothes Brandon, oh my mistake.... you are a boy, right?” She said giving him a sly smile.
“I wish that house was really haunted and the vengeful spirit inside should have strangled you.” He hissed hatefully.
“Keep wishing jackass, nothing you wish will come true. God is ignorant towards demons.” She said with fake sympathy.
Brandon had once suffered a severe injury from her punch and she had also engaged into a one on one fight with him. He was shameless when it came to fights, completely ignoring the fact that she was a girl. But she was girl with fighting skills even some boys couldn’t handle.
Brandon bared his teeth and stepped forward and like shield Lucas and Oswald covered her. They wanted to protect.... Brandon.
“Rach I blame you for bringing me to this party.” She said lightly not at all blaming her.
“Brandon is an ass, ignore him.” She said with an apologetic tone.
Brandon was the only other guy then her friend circle that didn’t ignore her. That guy was mini hulk, tall, muscled with black curly hair. He had lot of girls after her and she had no idea why, he was not even moderately average looking according to her.
“You guys go get drunk I will be back.” She said getting up.
No one asked her where she was going. They knew she was moody, sometimes needed lone time, might faze out while talking and they still liked her enough to be friends. She walked in the direction where there was no one and put in the earplugs playing some soft song as per her mood.
A shiver ran through her as she moved away from the crowd and heat. Her mind instantly thinking about the boy in palace. Lucas couldn’t see him then why could see? Did she develop some power to see ghosts?
Or was it because she picked up a cursed artefact or maybe because she tried clicking some pictures? Whatever the reason was the ghost was no mood to harm her, he talked nicely. He looked even nicer. Sighing loudly she pulled out the pendant from under T shirt and examined it.
“I don’t think that belongs to you.” A faintly familiar voice said.
She had a mini heart attack as she turned and saw the gorgeous boy from the palace in front of her. The artefact had spirit following her now, she knew it!
“So you are saying this is yours?” She asked bravely, though she was a bit scared.
“You did pick it up from my place.” He said stepping forward.
This time she held her place and looked at him. It was unnerving to see how very handsome he was, sexy enough to give you wild imaginations.
“Who are you?” She asked with no intention of giving the pendant, she liked it.
“Your soul mate.” He said cockily.
“Yeah, right. Why couldn’t Lucas see you this morning?” She asked trying to figure out the first guy in her life who was trying to flirt with her.
“Because only you are special enough to see me.” He said clearly using that dimple of his to full advantage.
He was not like any other guy she could feel it and yet he behaved like all the other good looking douche did. He acted as if there would be no girl in this world who would refuse him. This attitude bugged Iorwen; she hated the boys who thought that world revolved around them. But why was he so damn good looking!?
“Stop trying to flirt for a second and answer the damn question!” She said annoyed now.
His flirty sweet smile was replaced by a loop side smile as he realised she was a challenge, this was way better! He had experience handling rude ones, she would be no different.
He fearlessly stepped closer to her and her striking eyes opened wider shocked by his brazen behaviour.
“Can I get your name at least?” He asked in a low sexy tone.
He was too close for her comfort; she was not used to this. Her legs trembled to move back but it took all her might to stand there stoically not falling prey to his appealing tricks.
“Once I get to know who you are?” She proposed the condition.
Slight surprise flicker on his face as she stayed sane enough to argue back.
“Tristyn Moore, someone you will not be able to live without.” He said, his ice blue shining in moonlight with an unsaid challenge.
His gaze held hers and they stood there waiting for other to break the gaze but neither broke down. Iorwen was angry and confused for her madly beating heart. Then she stepped back remembering her dislike for arrogance.
“Nin! Come back now, you have been moody enough.” Lucas and Rachel called out for her.
The trance broke and he looked mildly irritated and gave her playful smile.
“Nina?” He asked in an attempt to know her name.
She shook her head in a no and shrugged casually as if she was in no mood to tell her name.
Tristyn realised that either the girl was a tough one or her skills are rusty after such a long time.
“Your name is all I ask?” He asked having found no Nin or close related name in Rachel’s friend list.
“You don’t even know your soul mates name! What a shame? And I thought I couldn’t leave without you?” She said smirking now.
He didn’t feel offended but smiled showing his dimples again. Her heart plucked lightly.
It was unbelievable, so this was like pursuing today’s girl, difficult and fun! Or was it just her? He shook his head amused at what was happening, the ultimate playboy was being made fun of.
“Who are you talking to Nin?” Rachel said now walking towards her shivering badly.
Iorwen took off her jacket instinctively and put it over Rachel’s shoulder.
“Apparently only I am special enough to see him.” She said looking at him with narrowed eyes.
He chuckled in response, which made her sigh inwardly. He was surprised and amused at something, it was clear in his mesmerising eyes.
As she turned to go, he called out, “I will come to collect the pendant.”
“Who said I will give it back!” She muttered but he heard her.
“What are you saying?” Rachel asked looking at her curiously.
“Nothing, I was humming a song.” She lied with perfection.
Rachel looked convinced and moved quickly feeling the cold.
“Rachel what do you see there?” She asked trying it once.
“Nothing. Is there some animal?” She asked all scared.
“No, just asking.” She said and hugging Rachel by shoulder she pulled her along.
So it was official now, Mr. Sexy Tristyn Moore was actually not visible to anyone else.
