Text and Call

707 Words
She was engrossed in a book when her phone vibrated. She ignored it and continued reading. After few seconds it vibrated again, she grinded her teeth together in annoyance and continued to ignore it. Texting and calling was so not her thing. She was not good at face to face talking, spending money on calls was senseless for someone like her. This time when phone vibrated she thumped her book down and reached out for it. Messages. From Tristyn Moore. Senorita, you awake? So you are ignoring me now, the only person who sees me? It’s hurting. What are you reading that is more interesting than me? Don’t tell me it’s bio. She groaned and settled back to send a reply to the jerk. Anything is more interesting than you. There was an instant reply. Here is my Senorita, still not asleep and thinking about me. I don’t want to have nightmares later Mr. Invisible. So you will dream about me too? It’s enough talking to you live, no need to eat my brain through texts too. Why does everyone call you Nin? His sudden change if topic relaxed Iorwen a bit since he asked a normal question. It’s short for Ninja, my friend Rachel came up with that. Can you get any sexier? No, not for you. Why do you say things opposite to what you mean?  She felt that his voice was filled with mirth. You are an ugly i***t. See again the opposite game. Urghh... Moore I hate you. Wow, confession in such a non romantic way! I love you too! He was stretching it too far getting on her nerves again! How can you even touch and text, aren’t ghost suppose to pass right through things? Suddenly her phone started vibrating, Mr. Invisible was calling. It showed My soul mate and she had to smirk at it. She picked up despite her better judgement. “Senorritttaaaa! I am not dead!” He emphasised the word not. “There you go lying again!” She complained. “And yet you picked up my call even though you said call me when you want to tell me the truth. You wanted to hear my voice, didn’t you?” He asked his usual flirt question but in a really soft serious voice. She avoided the question all together. “Go to sleep Invisible.” She mumbled uncomfortably. “With you, pleasure.” He snickered. “Good night.” She simply said. “I am a living person Iorwen.” He said it like a final statement. Her heart somersaulted inside as he said her name like liquid rolling off tongue, effortless and smooth. It felt beautiful and she felt utterly girl feeling this. “You must be since dead can’t get on someone’s nerve this bad.” She said it like a taunt but believing that he was not dead. His tone was all pleading and serious when he said so. “Thank you.” He said it without any snarkiness but with a smile in his voice. “Yeah well that still leaves the question why are you invisible to others?” She said in a happy but tired tone. Happy because of his genuine and nice response for a change. “Senorita, it’s because I am perfect dream, an illusion created by you.” His voice dropped an octave sounding sexy as hell. She could feel the heat warming up her ears. But the playboy Tristyn was back. “Go to hell!” She said and hung up feeling confused, awkward and .... weirdly turned on. This might be actually true, just as Rachel keeps saying she had lost it. Desiring for love she might have conjured up her own lover boy. Because this could only be a dream where a guy as hot as him will pay attention to her. She buried herself in the quilt and planned on how to get the truth of the boy. Just dream of me Senorita- Your Mr. Invisible. She sighed at the last text of night, definitely her dream... How can he be mine?
