"What the hell are you doing here, hyung?!" Jungkook blurted out as soon as they got out of the backdoor.
"No 'I missed you hyung' or, 'how have you been for the past years, hyung'?" the guy asked tauntingly. "Wow, I expected more from you since we're brothers."
"You were hardly a brother to me," he spat. "Now answer the question, Jinyoung. Why are you here?"
"Uh, working?" He answered. "Of course after getting freed I'd look for a job. I have to feed myself somehow, JK. It was just a coincidence that I happen to find that job here."
"It's never a coincidence when it comes with you, hyung," he accused. "I did my part as your brother and helped Jisoo noona gain the cash. Now that you're free, I want nothing to do with you anymore."
"I know, Kook," the guys say and patted his shoulder which he dodge immediately. "I'm just here to keep a close eye on you before I leave."
Jungkook's forehead creased in confusion.
"What do you mean?"
Jinyoung sighed.
"I love Jisoo. You know that right?" He nodded. "And being captured by those goons made me realize, I don't want this kind of life for us. Especially Jisoo. What they did to me... I don't want that to happen to Jisoo one day. So I wan't to stop this kind of criminal life and start a normal one with her. A simple house by the countryside and finally start a family of our own."
This made Jungkook expression soften.
"So I only need a last heist—enough to buy us a house in the countryside and we're done," he continued. "One last con and it's all over. And since you're both already in YK Group, it'll be easy to get at least 500 million from them—"
"No!" Jungkook blurted out. "That's what got us in this situation in the first place, hyung. It needs to stop and that's right now. No more heists. You can't involve me into this—"
"But you're already married to Lalisa Kim," he said on a serious tone. "And hearing that is was an out of the blue thing, I'm pretty sure she didn't have enough time to whip up some pre-nuptial agreement."
Jungkook clenched his fists.
"I said it before, I don't want in on this—"
Jinyoung's innocent smile turned into a devious smirk. A quality the Jeon brothers have in common.
"But you're already in, dear brother," he said with his hands inside his pocket. "You don't want anything bad happening to your precious wife now, would you?"
Jungkook grabbed his brother by the collar.
"You wouldn't dare!"
"But I will, baby bro," he said taunting him more. "And you know very well I don't joke around when it comes to business."
Furious, Jungkook pushed him. He was right. When in a con, he's 100% serious. And as he always said to him before, it's all or nothing.
"So what do you say, JK? Just like old times?"
"Go f**k yourself."
"I can't get enough of this," Lisa said as she rolled on top of Jungkook. "So, that Jinyoung guy... is he part of the 97 too?"
Jungkook clearly looked like he's not much of a fan of her question but smiled when she pouted and gave him the puppy dog eyes.
"He's a couple years older than us," he answered pinching her cheek. "The 97 only have members who are '97 liners. We don't like to have someone older in the group who'd boss us around."
"Then he's not one of your friends?" She was genuinely curious. Why? Because she saw how stricken he was. It almost seemed like there was beef between the two.
"Hardly," he said sitting up. "You're awfully curious. Why is that?"
"Well, you kinda looked like you've seen a ghost or something," she explained. "Why, Kookie? Who is he exactly?"
"Wait, 'Kookie'? What kind of nickname is that?"
"It's the kind I want to call my husband with," she answered. "Don't try to change the subject. Who is he?"
Jungkook rolled his eyes. "Someone unimportant."
Unconvinced, Lisa rose from lying down and straddled him. And on stimuli, his hand went straight to her waist.
"You're not fooling me," she said as she tried to fix her hair into a bun. Jungkook--clearly distracted by her naked breasts did not respond. "Yah. Jeon Jungkook!"
"Hmm?" he said not breaking contact with the two lovely orbs.
"Why can't you tell me? Is he a con artist too? Someone close to you?"
Jungkook sighed and shifted their position. Lisa was now beneath him as he propped both his arms on her side caging her naked body.
"Talking about another man isn't a good kind of pillowtalk, wife," he said as he distracted her with butterfly kisses all over her face down to her neck. Then tow her collarbone. Her shoulders...
"I don't like it when people hide things from me," Lisa scowled--clearly not having it as she folded her arms over her chest. "Especially when that person is my husband."
Jungkook heaved a sigh before rolling on her side.
"Fine," he said defeated. "He's someone I used to trust."
"Used to? That means you two were close?"
"Uh, you could say that," he said brushing his hair back. "But he did some shady as f**k stuff so he lost my trust."
"Wow," she said sitting up as well. "That must've been someone important for someone like you to trust someone like him. And he must've done something big for him to lose that."
"Yeah so he's not to be trusted at all," he muttered before putting his arm around her. "Can we just give this a rest and go back to enjoying our honeymoon?"
"You're really calling it that?" Lisa asked dropping the previous topic. "It's not like we're actually married, Kookie."
"We are actually married, Lili," he countered.
"Lili? What are you, nine?"
Jungkook looked at her feigning offense.
"So you can call me grade school level nicknames and I can't?"
"You call me tons of nicknames!" she defended. "You call me doll, princess, babe, etc. Why can't I call you with one too?"
"Those are endearments, wife. Not nicknames," he argued back. "Kook is my nickname."
"But I want a unique one for myself," she said pouting. And no one can actually say "no" to Lisa when she puts her aegyo out. "Everyone else calls you Kook. So I'm taking eternal dibs on Kookie."
Her pout and aegyo was paired off with a cute mini-tantrum. His heart melted and his d**k twitched. How can he say no?
"Fine," he agreed. "But I still get to call you whatever I want."
"Deal," she said finally smiling and unfolding her arms. And surprise, surprise, he now has a full hard-on. "Now come and give me some sugar."
Jungkook gave her a sly smirk.
"Trust me, wife. That's not the only thing I'm gonna give."
He grabbed the comforter and Lisa's scream echoed in the four corners of the room.
The morning after, Lisa screeched as a pair of muscular arms wrapped around her waist as she put Jungkook's shirt on. It was eight in the morning and Hoseok called her in for an emergency meeting.
"Where do you think you're going?" he asked sheepishly as nuzzled her neck.
"Work," she answered right away. "Hobi oppa called and he said the board called for an emergency meeting."
"But aren't you on vacation?"
"Yeah but, executives don't actually have a vacation," she explained. "So I need to be in the office in an hour."
Lisa felt her heart clench at how adorable Jungkook looked--newly woken up and all pouty.
"You can come with me if you want," she offered. "It'll be quick and we can head up to the mall to buy some stuff for the apartment."
This made Jungkook grin.
"Newlyweds buying new stuff for their new place? Will we buy matching pajamas too?"
The duality of Jeon Jungkook amazes her. One day he's this brooding mysterious guy and on another he's this clingy-adorable bunny. Sometimes a full-on prince charming and at times an annoying blackmailer. She clearly can't pick a favorite.
"We'll even go as far as matching underwear, if you'd like," she teased. "You'd look great in laces and thongs."
But that didn't affect him one bit.
"You'd like that very much, wouldn't you?"
Lisa laughed before giving Jungkook a quick peck on his lip.
"I'll just take a quick shower," she said as she stood up and made her way towards the in-suite bathroom. Just as she got in, she took a quick peak at Jungkook. "You're welcome to join me if you'd like."
Jungkook immediately rose from the bed.
"I thought you'd never ask."
"I was right," Hoseok said as soon as the meeting was over and all the executives left the room leaving only him and Lisa.
"What do you mean?" Lisa asked feigning confusion. She's not gonna admit that this guy right here was right.
"The s*x must've short-circuited your brain," he said chuckling. "Stop playing dumb, Lisa. I know you know what I mean."
"Fine," she said rolling her eyes. "You're right. I like him. And apparently, he likes me too."
"So I guess there won't be any divorce party I'll be attending any time soon?"
"Divorce party?"
"It's all the rage in the US, Li," he explained. "Celebrities hold an extravagant party to show off their divorce. Kinda like an engagement party but reversed."
"Are you making up an excuse just so you can party?"
The guy just shrugged. "Beats me. Maybe I am looking forward to your divorce with this guy--"
"That won't happen."
Their heads turn instantly towards the door. A pissed Jeon Jungkook stood there with his tongue poking the inside of his cheek.
Hoseok raised an eyebrow and turned to Lisa. Then he suddenly grinned.
"It's a marriage for convenience. That kind of marriage can easily be granted divorce on all courts," he said taunting Jungkook. As much as Lisa wanted to step in and stop him from bullying her husband, she's enjoying the show. "Lots of grounds, to be honest."
"It was but not anymore," he argued like a five-year old.
"Was? Why? Because you like each other?" he tested. "Like doesn't cut out as a basis for marriage. Don't say s*x because that's not gonna cut it either."
Jungkook fumed.
"She chose me, not anyone else--"
"Convenience," he repeated. "You were there so she chose you. Chances are, if someone else who's willing to be paid was there, you wouldn't be in the position you are right now."
"I-- Who are you anyway?" he blurted out clearly losing all his patience at Hoseok's taunting. "Who are you to judge what I--"
Lisa suddenly stepped in as Jungkook looked like he was about to murder her boss s***h brother from another mother.
"He's Jung Hoseok, Kookie," she answered walking towards him and trying to calm him down. "And he's just joking. Don't mind him."
But still, Jungkook was throwing dagger looks at the guy who's currently laughing his ass off.
"He has a weird sense of humor," he mumbled making her chuckle a bit. "Oh so you're enjoying this?"
"Pretty much, yeah," she replied honestly.
"Retract your claws, Mr. Jeon," Hoseok said as he grabbed his things. "I mean no harm. I was just teasing. Lisa here is my favorite human being. If she's happy with you, I'm not one to judge."
But Jungkook wasn't buying it. Then Hoseok took out a small envelop from his suit.
"By the way," said handing it to Lisa. "Happy Birthday, princess."
Lisa's eyes lit up the same time Jungkook's mouth flew wide open. It was his wife's birthday and he forgot it was today. Hoseok seemed to have noticed his shocked expression.
"You still have a lot to learn, noob," he teased passing him. Then he patted his shoulder. "Good thing you have all the time you need. Bye lovebirds. I'll be expecting a niece or nephew soon!"
And with that, the CEO left the room but not the scowl on Jungkook's face.
"You look hot when you're jealous," Lisa teased him. "Stop scowling. Hobi oppa's harmless. Retract your claws, please. I don't want that mood on our first date."
Jungkook sighed and nodded. She walked towards the door first but then, the sound of bullets hitting the windows. He ran towards her and immediately shielded her from the threat as then drop on the floor, hiding behind the humongous conference table.
A few seconds pass and the shooting stopped. Horror can be seen in Hoseok's eyes as he ran back panting to the conference room.
"What the actual f**k?!"
