Lisa's eyes fluttered open as she felt soft kisses on her bare shoulder. She can't help but smile and turn to the suspect.
"Good morning, wife," Jungkook greeted her. "Slept well?"
She nodded and smiled. He then busied himself by tucking the loose strands of hair behind her ear.
Of all the morning she woke up to, this was by far the best. A total hundred-eighty degree turn from the other day.
"What's for breakfast?" she asked stretching. "Want me to whip up something for you?"
Jungkook smiled before giving her a light peck on the lip.
"As much as I want to be fed by you, it's a pass for now," he answered making her pout. "I need to leave for now since I have to got back to the mansion and talk with Jisoo."
"Why? Is there something wrong?" She asked sitting up. Jungkook gently kissed her cheek. "Kook..."
"It's nothing, wife," he assured her. "She's been bugging me about what we did. I think now I have the right reason to get her off my back once and for all."
Lisa felt her cheeks burn a little as she remembered what exactly happened yesterday. A lot of yelling, crying and confessing happened. And of course, s*x. Lots and lots of s*x.
"I'll be back soon," he said kissing her on the lips once again.
As soon as Jungkook went out of the bedroom, she let her body fall on the mattress. She sighed. Not the wary one but the happy kind of sigh. She saved her family's dynasty from a psycho, showed her grandma she's not the kind of person to mess with and at the same time be happy. Best 200 million won ever spent.
Then her phone rang.
"Hello?"
"Is your boytoy still in there?"
"Good morning to you too, Chaeng," she answered.
"What morning? It's already two in the afternoon," the girl blurted out. "Were you that tired to oversleep that much?"
"It's my honeymoon," she defended. "I'm allowed to oversleep because of exhaustion."
"OH MY f*****g GOD!"
Lisa's eyes grew wide as she recognized the owner of the voice who just screamed on the other line.
"You put me on f*****g speakerphone?!" she hissed. "Park Chaeyoung you traitor!"
"YOU BETTER COME DOWN HERE IN THE CLUB, LALISA KIM OR GOD FORBID I'LL DRAG YOU DOWN HERE MYSELF!"
"Okay fine, Jen. I'll go there. Just give me an hour to get ready."
"Good," the girl said calming down. "You still have a lot of things to explain after you pulled that thing on your wedding day."
"She's trying to fish out information from me but I swear, my loyalty's with you, Li," Chaeyoung said sweetly.
"I'll buy you that new Chanel purse if you'll fill me in some details—"
"I won't push my best friend under the bus, Jen!"
"I'll throw in an extra pair of Jimmy Choo's—"
"Oh my God they made out in the kitchen, eonnie!"
"Chaeyoung!" Lisa yelled at her phone.
"Bye Li. Love yah!" The girl immediately said before ending the call. All she got to do was shake her head and make a damn good excuse why she didn't say anything to them.
But as soon as she tried to step her foot on the carpeted floor, she lost her balance and fell. Her knees were still weak and some other part was sore.
Her phone dinged. It was a message from Jungkook.
Hope you don't have any other plans for the day. Walking around wouldn't be easy ;)
She unintentionally rolled her eyes. Then another message came. Still from her devious husband.
There's a bubble bath waiting for you in the bathroom. If you can walk there, that is. But if you can't, we can take it together when I get home, wife ;)
How did she get this lucky?
"He called you? Are you sure it's him?"
Jisoo paced back and forth just after Jungkook told her about the sudden phone call he received last night.
"Positive. I sent them the money a week ago," he confirmed making Jisoo more anxious than she already is.
"So they let him go? Just like that?" She asked again while biting her nail.
"Seems like it," he answered heaving a heavy sigh. "Our job's done, noona. I think... I think we have to leave."
"But I can't!" She blurted out. "I... I can't leave him, Kook. I can't leave Jin. I... I love him. And we... we're getting married soon. And you... you can't leave Lisa either. You're married to her."
Jungkook couldn't answer. They were both in the same predicament and they can't leave the ones they love behind.
"I might get to stay, noona," he said. "But... But I can't say the same for you. You can't really marry Jin. You know that."
Jisoo closed her eyes and inhaled deeply. The truth. It was always unbearable when she hears it loud and clear. She can't marry the man she loves right now. Because of a stupid decision. A stupid decision she made when she was a dumb 18-year old.
"What Lisa did to her supposed wedding... it was you, right? You gave her that idea, am I correct?"
Jungkook nodded.
Jisoo laughed bitterly as a lone tear escaped her eyes.
"The technicalities of a marriage and contracts... Our con. No wonder it was familiar."
"Noona..."
"I don't want to leave," Jisoo said firmly. "I don't care if I'm already married to your brother, Kook. I already filed for divorce and filed a missing person case. That's the reason why I was waiting for the right time before sending them the money."
Yes. Jisoo and Jungkook are not really brother and sister due to adoption nor by blood. It was only an excuse they made so the "con" wouldn't get exposed.
Marriage and contracts were his brother and Jisoo's specialty. She's go off finding an old man with money, use her beauty to lure the poor guy into marriage and make him sign a contracts "gifting" her money. Lots of it. And then, his brother would appear use the technicalities of nullified marriages die to bigamy.
But this time with the Kim's, it was different. His brother made a stupid mistake of getting involved with Japanese gangsters. And they weren't a fan of con-artists especially when they learned they lost millions. Now it was up to him and Jisoo to pay back what he owed or his head would be displayed at the gang's exhibit room.
They saved up money from all the crimes they did. But it wasn't enough to fill the 2 billion won bounty on his brother's head. They needed 200 million more.
"You could've told me, noona," he said with his hand on his forehead. "Now he's out there. He'll certainly look for you."
"This isn't only my problem, Kook. If Lisa finds out about this, we're both screwed."
"Lisa knows this is a con," he said shocking Jisoo. "Why'd you think she offered you exactly 200 million won that night during the party? I asked her to."
"Why? I told you I was doing my best—"
"Because you left me with no choice, noona. You were taking too long and he's my brother. Each day that passed meant he's closer to facing death. I can't risk that—"
"I understand, Kook but... I wanted out," she argued. "And I already had the money. It wasn't money I took from him but money I saved up—and some jewelry he gave that I pawned but you get what I mean. I had a plan. And you ruined it. Now he's out to get the both of us."
"We bailed him out. Why would he even come after us?"
"You don't know your brother the way I do, Kook,"
She said on a very serious tone. "Now that he's out there and knows we have ties to the most powerful family in the country, he'll use that to gain more."
Jungkook stood frozen on his ground.
"Especially you, Kook. 'Coz you're legally married to Lisa."
"I don't know if I should pity you or laugh, right now."
Lisa just rolled her eyes as she sat next to Jennie on the booth by the VIP lounge. The club was packed with people since her one hour turned into hours. It was a struggle getting ready when you're sore all over.
"At least she can walk properly," Chaeyoung teased. "If my hunch is correct, they must've done it from the moment I left 'til the break of dawn."
"You're just bitter 'coz you're not having some," Lisa spat.
"Hah. That's what you think," Chaeyoung countered making her raise an eyebrow. "What? You're not the only one who developed a new relationship in a month, you know."
"How come I don't know this?" Jennie suddenly interjected. "I'm your sister!"
"Well, if you weren't that busy f*****g Taehyung, you would've known about him."
"Is this who I think it is?" Lisa said giving a knowing look at her best friend. "Park Chaeyoung!"
Chaeyoung grinned widely as a familiar figure made his way towards them. Jennie and Lisa stood from their seats and slow-clapped.
"Daebak!" Jennie said while clapping. "You finally did it, Jung Jimin. After years of trying to get inside my sister's pants, you managed to pull through."
"You finally crawled your way out of the friendzone," Lisa supplied. "You're a legend."
Jimin ignored their teasing and squeezed beside Chaeng and affectionately kissed the girl's cheek—much to the girl's liking.
Taehyung—who was just behind Jimin, grimaced.
"God, stop them. They look like the came straight out of a Disney movie."
"Stop being bitter, Tae," Jennie said. "We'll find you a handsome lad somewhere. Or maybe you and your twin sister can share."
"Eww!" The twins immediately said.
"I'm not sucking someone who's been inside my sister," he said after. "That's just plain gross, Jennifer."
"I don't like sharing what's mine," Lisa also said. "Why don't you be with my brother instead? You two have been f*****g around for as long as I can remember."
"In case you didn't notice, Li, I don't have a d**k," Jennie spat. "Either I magically grow one or this dud miraculously turns straight, our relationship will remain strictly friends with benefits."
This made Lisa turn to her twin who just shrugged. These two are hopeless. But she ain't giving up.
"So all we're missing here is Li's boy-toy—" She glared at Jennie. "I mean husband. Since there was no bachelorette or stag party, why don't we just do it tonight?"
"I'm down but... shouldn't that be done separately?"
"That's old school, Li," Chaeng said agreeing to her sister's idea. "We're at the club, there's booze and a dance floor. I can speed dial Hoseok oppa and we're good to go."
"Why my brother?" Jimin asked.
"Coz we're gonna need a stripper," Chaeng answered straight. "You know how good your brother moves. Chim. I mean, Magic Mike who?"
The look on Jimin's face made everyone burst out laughing. Knowing that her girl had the hots for his brother must've short-circuited his brain.
"You broke Jimin, Chae," Taehyung said laughing.
"I think I might need something strong to wash that off in my head," Jimin said as he stood up.
"Let me come with," Lisa said clinging to Jimin's arm. "You wouldn't mind if I borrow your boytoy for a minute, right Chaeng?"
"Just bring him back in one piece, Li," she replied. "I need him whole for what I'm gonna do to him once I get wasted."
Chaeyoung's dirty talk made Jimin blush harder. He looked like a freakin' tomato!
As they made their way yo the bar counter, Lisa and Jimin told the bartender to get them a bottle of tequila. Then she playfully nudged the guy.
"Congratulations, Jung," she said smiling widely. "You finally got the girl."
Jimin adorably scratched the back of his neck.
"Thanks for the push, Li," he said sincerely. "If I hadn't pushed that date, I wouldn't have had the guts to tell her what I really feel."
"You should thank Jennie to," she said making him confused. "She stopped that Chanyeol guy from getting hired and gave the position to Jungkook."
"I guess I owe a lot of people then," he said chuckling.
"Yeah I guess so—"
Lisa was suddenly cut off by a strong tug on her arm.
"I leave you for a couple of hours and you're getting snatched by pink-haired dwarfs," Jungkook said sounding very pissed.
Jimin's mouth grew wide. Like wtf?
Lisa laughed and kissed her jealous husband's cheek.
"I forgot to introduce to you to my friend, Jung Jimin," she said motioning the heavily offended man. "Jimin, this is the infamous Jeon Jungkook."
"The husband," Jimin said looking certainly not pleased. He folded his arms. "I should let you know, I'm a few inches taller than your wife."
"Stop it," she said amused. Jungkook really looked like he was about to murder Jimin. "What took you so long?"
"I had to calm my sister down since we almost ruined their wedding," Jungkook said as he pulled Lisa closer to him and nuzzled her hair.
"Almost?" She asked and looked up to him. "They'll still push through?"
"Yeah," he answered then kissed her forehead. "They'll just push it a year later though—"
"Here's your bottle, ma'am, sir," the other bartender said smiling. For some unknown reason, Jungkook stiffened.
"Kook?"
Pale as a sheet, her husband slowly faced the bartender who was still smiling widely at them. Her brows furrowed when he suddenly spoke.
"It's been a long time, JK."
