“Thanks for staying at the Seabreeze Inn,” Ivy said to the couple departing for their home in Phoenix. They’d arrived last week for a long weekend respite from the intense desert heat.
“We’ll tell our friends about your lovely home,” the woman said. “I’m so glad we found you on iBnB. After seeing the glowing reviews, we just had to try your new inn. And we loved the Sea Breeze juice cocktails. Do you have a recipe for that?”
Ivy smiled and brought out a printed recipe card from behind the reception desk. “Here’s the recipe. It’s my sister Shelly’s. We enjoyed having you, and we’d sure appreciate another review,” Ivy added as she helped them with their bags.
With a background in marketing and publicity, Poppy had stressed the importance of social proof in the form of reviews.
