"The King of Vea." Grandma Linda uttered breathlessly. "What caused him howling in the middle of the night? Could it be trouble?" she said, looking anxious and concerned.
"Will he come after us... grandma?!" Jomari gasped. Linda gave him an unsure smile while patting his head before turning to me.
"He will not hurt anyone in this area. I will promise you that. Believe my words, there's no need to be frightened." I said sternly and Jomari smiled at me. His eyes sparkled in admiration but fear never left them.
