Chapter 14 - She's A What?

1625 Words
The door opened and slowly revealing an anxious homosexual person. He looked inside the room like he's looking for something. "Maddie, where's Mel?" He asked in a whisper. "She's hiding somewhere. Why?" I answered whispering too and asked him back. He opened the door wide, and there, I saw three men that are wearing some weird armor. They're just like those men we encountered yesterday. "So, these are the so-called Heroes of Sadonia in the prophecy of the Bijo? Hmm, I wonder what can they do against the dragon, Vina Parros." The man said that is about six feet tall with a long beard and wearing a different color from the rest. Who might these people be? "Yes. It's them. What they can do depends on that day, Captain. Now, all we need is them to get to the palace and let them lead the warriors." She answered and all the men laughed. "Well, how can these children lead an army? I guess they haven't even held a sword or threw a spear." The captain said and they continued laughing. I'm starting to get annoyed and Chrys noticed it since he held my left shoulder, telling me to calm down. "That prophecy is a bluff, Vina Parros. You can just make it up. Who are these children? Your niece and nephew? And besides, it would be very impossible that someone can be from the future." He continued while Vina is very calm and gave them a warm smile. "For you to know, mister long-beard bald man, I know how to use a sword. Wanna have a sword fight with me? And, there's more, this girl over here is a karate master. She can beat you without even using any weapon. She even won against Mito the unbeatable in just less than twenty seconds." Chrys rambled proudly and they were stunned by him ranting. I can't help but chuckle. This gay is crazy. "They are the Heroes of Sadonia, Captain Malik. Vina Parros is telling the truth. If you won't believe it, I don't care. I will ask my father to let them lead the warriors of the kingdom." Mel stated as she came out from her hiding place and the men bowed down to her. "Your Highness, we have been looking for you for three days. The king has been so worried about you, Princess Melina." The captain said, and that made Chrys and I looked at each other with our mouths hanging open. Woah, she's a princess? "I'm totally fine. And, what I did is just right. I will bring them into the palace myself and tell my father everything." She uttered with a voice in authority. Damn, she looks so hot even more. Pssh, what are you thinking, Carreon? "But, Your Highness, you don't know these people. They might be some ba--" He argued but the princess cut him off. "I'm not asking for your opinion, Captain. You are just going to do what you are told. I know what I'm doing." She said, and did I mention that she's scary when she's mad? And, we just stood frozen at the side while observing their conversations. "Forgive me, Princess." He apologized while bowing to her. "You are forgiven. Now, if you'll excuse us, we have something to discuss and we'll prepare the things that we need. We'll go back to the palace together." She said and the men went out of the house. I peeked outside the window, and there are four more men in armor outside with their horses. "Hmm. So, you're a princess?" I asked her and she sighed deeply. "Yes. Unfortunately. And, I'm so sorry for not telling you both, Car and Chrys. It's just that I don't want to be treated differently." She said and apologized sincerely. Chrys and I nodded our heads alternately while looking at her sympathetically. "I have been locked up in the palace for my safety, but it's killing me. I just can't let the kingdom fall without even doing anything. Everyone who heard about the prophecy doesn't believe in it, but I do believe with all of my beings. So, I decided to look for you and ask the witches if what should be the right things to do." She explained and looked at Vina. She's a really brave and faithful person. A personality that fits perfectly for a princess. Well, I have never met a princess before. But in novels and movies, there are lots of princesses. The one that needs to be saved and to marry a prince, and whatnot. --- "Carreon and Chrysler, these swords and armors are used by our ancestors in killing dragons for centuries. This dragon that is left is the strongest of them all. It only goes out every one hundred years and destroys everything it sees. Now, I want you to have these and treat them like it's your other half." Vina said as she handed us swords that look so sharp and shiny. I took a hold of the sword and it's a little bit heavy while Chrys examined his sword and smiled in awe as he pulled it out from its case. "That is made by our greatest metalworker in the kingdom with a very special metal." She added and handed us some clothes and armor. "Wow! This looks so powerful, Vina." He let out and looked at the witch that is currently packing some other clothes and food in a bag. "Its real power depends on its beholder." She said and I looked at the princess who's been staring at me. She smirked and did I mention that I'm feeling so hot right now by her stare? It's just like I could melt anytime soon. Relax and calm down, self. "I can't wait to try this one," Chrys said excitedly while putting on his armors. "Yeah, then you'd be like King Leonidas with his three hundred men," I uttered and chuckled as I saw the image in my head. "Oh yeah! Damn, he's so hot, isn't he, Maddie? And, three hundred men? That's heaven. But sadly, he died at the end of the movie." He said and I just cleared my throat. He's being so gay. "Will you stop with your gayness and let's help them preparing the things we need?" I told him, and thankfully, he helped. "You still need to go north and meet there my twin sister, Vida. And, Your Highness, do you want to go straight to the palace with the guards or go with them? They will be staying there for a while to have their training." Vina uttered and asked Mel who's busy putting on her cloak and her bow and arrow. So, we're gonna meet another witch. "I'll go with them to the north. I will let the guards go to the palace and inform my father of my whereabouts." She answered and looked at us. We are wearing cloaks and our armor is inside, and it's not light at all. "Alright, you're good to go," Vina said and Mel went near her. "I will miss you again, Vina." She let out and hugged the witch. I guess they have spent so much time together in the past. I'm missing my mom so bad. "I will miss you too, stubborn young lady," Vina said and they chuckled. --- We walked outside and the seven men are getting their horses ready. "Your Highness, we have found your horse in a house along the way to the village of Tehori. That is why we thought that you have passed there and supposedly heading here." The captain said and handed the white horse's rope to Mel. "Thank you, Captain. She has been stolen from me with my supplies." She stated and the captain nodded and smiled at her. "Now, Captain Malik, I want you to go back to the palace with all the guards and tell my father that the three of us will be heading north to Vida Parros. We will stay there for a while and we'll come back to the palace after that." She said and the captain didn't argue. --- "How long till we arrive at Vida's house, Maddie?" Chrys yelled since he's behind Mel and I'm leading the way. We stopped in our tracks, and I looked at the map. We can still pass two villages before we reach our destination. We just have to follow this road. "I don't know, Chrys. I haven't been there before." I answered and I don't know why I'm a little bit annoyed. Oh yeah, I haven't smoked for so long. They said that if you are used to smoking and you can't smoke for a long time, your system will crave for it. Maybe that explains why I easily get annoyed. "I haven't been to Vida's house before, but I guess that's the same distance from the South Witch's house up to Vina's house," Mel explained and she got a point. "Well, we can't estimate the time we'll spend walking with our horses since we didn't follow the instruction on the map when we went to Vina's house," I uttered and that's true. We went right instead of going left. "Yeah, because you're so stubborn, Maddie. And, you almost got killed because of you going right." Chrys yelled and he's like blaming me. "Well, excuse me, Mister Hale. We couldn't have been found and saved the princess if I didn't follow my instinct." I made my point and Mel is agreeing with me by nodding her head. "Alright, I guess there are reasons why everything happens, isn't it?" He said and he's right with that. Then, we just kept walking until we got a sight of a village.
