Chapter 7

CHAPTER 7

Red's Pov:

Maggie from where she's standing nods her head at my direction, the moment these doors open I will jump from Alpha Nico's side and I'll shower with this colorful things!

Ava really think this through but I wonder why this colors though? If she will surprise him of her pregnancy, why these colors?

The door abruptly opened it almost made me jump!

"Ava!" that was Alpha Nico's angry and worried voice. "Huh?" I couldn't see him since the door is covering his position from my eyes. Silence fell upon his entrance, he might be surprised of how the hall suddenly turned into, yeah, I know Alpha Nico. I'm surprised too of how this place turned into. "What—"

Maggie cleared her throat loudly, my eyes widen. Moon goddess!

Using my speed, I appeared in front of Alpha Nico in no time with a large grin and in front of him, I tilted this popper thingy creating a loud bang.

"Holy wolf!" I exclaimed in surprise staring at the popped popper, I inspected the now open led, so this is what this popper is. I thought it'll blow these colorful stuffs inside like some whistle but instead, it exploded! No, more like it popped!

What a popped popper!

I smile to myself. That's another learning. Great.

"What... the... fuck..." I glance at Alpha Nico's face to see that he's now covered in those, what's it again, confetti. My eyes widen and wiped them off, tried to, I step back of Alpha's loud growl and hid behind Maggie's.

Shit.

"Maggie...." Alpha's voice held warning.

"Sorry about that Alpha, I," Maggie glance at me and shakes her head problematically. I know right, I messed up. I messed up especially Alpha's face. I cringe having a good look at Alpha Nico's enraged and covered with confetti face. Dandelion, good thing I got away and hid behind Maggie's. "I didn't know Red here doesn't have an idea how to use that." As much as I wanted to tell Maggie I actually know how to since I read the instruction, I choose not to. Better keep my mouth shut, I've been in several mischiefs because of my uncontrollable need to talk.

"Where is she?" Alpha Nico asked after a deep sigh, he probably need to calm down because of me. Sorry...

I look at Maggie, she's smiling at Alpha Nico and step to her side, I did the same, her hand is gestured towards the elevated platform. "Have a seat, Alpha."

I peek at Alpha Nico, beside him is Beta Charles, Charles noticed me peeking and winks at me. I made a face and composed myself and stand beside Maggie. Alpha Nico eyes diverted to me, his forehead crease, meh. I must be an eyesore to him right now.

Sadly, for Alpha Nico I won't be leaving. I want to see Ava too, I bet she looks gorgeous wearing that white dress she showed to me and Maggie.

Alpha Nico, obviously clueless of what's happening as he sits looking around from time to time.

The room is filled with silence until a spotlight is pointed at the huge treasure chest, slowly it opened, my mouth formed an 'o' in awe, so that huge treasure chest is filled with blue balloons and they're floating towards the room's ceiling, filling the once almost empty space of the ceiling with only a huge chandelier, there's a silver thing tied with the balloons, one balloon popped followed by another and shimmering things falling. I raised my hand to catch what was once inside the balloons.

"Rice?" I wonder. Why is this rice colored? It's shining too, though it looks wonderful I can't help but wonder why it's inside the balloon.

I nudge Maggie and showed her the rice. She sighs. "That's Ava's plan, instead of using glitters to make that shining effect once the balloons burst she suggested coloring the rice. It's much safer for the children and I agree." I slowly nudge my head in understanding. Well that's Ava if there's a possible alternative for a better and safer result she would without a doubt choose that.

"Is this color permanent?" I ask looking at the shining colorful pieces of rice.

"No, why?"

I turn to her, "can this still be cook?" Her gaze drops at my hand holding the colored rice then back at my face. She shakes her head. My shoulder slumped. What a pity, I'd like to try colorful rice. Oh well.

"What-what's this?" Alpha Nico's voice made the two of us turn to him. He's looking at his hands in awe. A mixture of blue and white light is in his hands, it's squared shape. I tried to get close to see what it is but Maggie slightly push me back in place.

I glare at her and she glared back, I choose to back down. Dangdelion, she looks scary. I wonder if she is still mad about what happened to Alpha Nico and the popped popper a while back?

Her anger didn't pass even with that wonderful show? My moon goddess, such a grudge holder she is.

Suddenly the squared shape blue and white light flew in the middle of the room, where every were can see. My eyes widen upon what's written.

"It's a boy"

Holy s**t.

Right, right! Ava is pregnant but she did not tell me the gender! Is this part of the surprise?! Oh my goodness, it's a boy. A baby boy. AVA IS PREGNANT WITH A BABY BOY!

A blinding light appeared in the middle of the elevated platform and when it's gone, Ava stood proud wearing the white dress she showed us, it's below her knees and is flowing freely, dancing along with her as she makes her way towards Alpha Nico. She looks so beautiful; her radiant smile is so contagious. Her makeup is light, just highlighting her natural beauty, I bet even she don't do her makeup she will still look bewitching right now, it wasn't her dress, her hair or her makeup that made her to beautiful right now, it's her smile.

She's happy, there's no question in that. She's happy and she's in love. Her eyes never leaving Alpha Nico and I believe Alpha Nico can't take his eyes off Ava too.

How beautiful their love is.

"Ouch Red, oh my god!" Complained Maggie, I didn't notice I'm shaking her, I immediately stop doing so but the moment my eyes landed on the floating magical announcement and Ava's, I couldn't help but shake her again. "Red..." Maggie whispered, I turn to her, she has a small smile looking at me.

"What?" I ask, why is she smiling? It doesn't look creepy or scary, it looks genuine. Ah, she must be happy for Ava too, like I am. I smile at her too.

"You're crying." She stated.

"Huh?" I'm crying? I touch my cheeks and they are indeed wet, I chuckles. Why am I crying? Moon goddess, I shouldn't be crying! This isn't the right time to cry, I must look stupid crying while everyone is smiling widely.

"Sorry." I said wiping my tears, I look at Ava and Alpha Nico, they're hugging each other, Ava's face is buried on his chest, her shoulder's kind of shaking. Is she crying?

She shouldn't cry. She's beautiful, there's nothing to cry for.

But why won't my tears stop falling?! The heck.

I can't help but cry looking at Ava, every time I remember how happy she looks while walking towards Alpha Nico, I can't help it.

She deserves it. She deserves the happiness and their future baby.

But dangdelion, I should stop crying. This is their moment, stop crying Red! What the hell.

"They've been waiting for their pup hundreds of years now." Maggie said smiling, a slow music played, Alpha Nico and Ava in the middle are dancing slowly. She glances at me; her eyes are teary too. I guess I'm not the only one emotional in here. "A seer saw in her vision that it will take hundreds of years for Ava to conceive a child after her miscarriage four hundred years ago. It's has always been dangerous for her to carry a child, they've been blessed." She tells me while smiling.

Indeed, they are. I couldn't imagine how happy Ava and Alpha Nico is right now.

"Ava would have been happier if Knight is here," Maggie suddenly spoke, I turn to her from looking at Ava and Nico. She glances at me and sighs, "The first person Maggie always turned to before if there's great news was him, you know, before..." she trailed off, I nod my head in understanding. Maggie also told me how close Ava and Knight were, they were the only relatives left after their former pack got annihilated, they survived together, built this pack together. They were cousins and siblings at the same time. Surely, his presence in this happy occasion would make Ava happier.

Should... uh nope. I promised myself I would stay out of his way. Stay away from him, no good come whenever our path cross. I won't do it. I should stop thinking about it. No way I will do it! Stay still Red, stay still!!!!

I won't.

"What? Come again?" Her eyebrows lift, she is having a plate of pasta, it looks tasty but I can't enjoy it, not yet, but...

I look at her pitifully, "I want to ask your help but, can I have that fried chicken first? It's the leg part, it looks delicious." I begged while pointing the plate placed in front of her.

She looks at her plate then back at me then back at her plate again before she reluctantly grabs it and handed to me. I smile as I grab the friend chicken leg.

I grin. Hello chicken leg, heh.

"Thanks!" I thanked while showing her the chicken leg.

She rolled her eyes at me and ate her pasta, some pack members when they pass this table where she and Emily is would pause and look at me, why are they looking at me?

"Those werewolf looking at you must have known you're the person who saved Luna Ava." Emily said smiling.

"Eh?" Have I become famous? I was planning on having a low-profile.

"What help do you need from me?" Claudia asks her eyebrows raised. "If it's love potion, I won't help you even if you beg me to." She added.

Love potion? Why would I need that for Knight Rochester? I wanted to laugh, he doesn't need love potion, he needs acceptance and moving on potion.

I shake my head at her while chewing. "I'm here to ask for Knight's residence." I said after eating.

"What?" She stops eating as soon as I said that. She then smirks at me. "Tell me, did you finally realize that you like him after he saved you?" She inquired.

Right, it was him who saved me from that vampire who almost rip my heart out, I haven't thanked him for that yet, instead, I... There's no use in dwelling in the past, right now I must get him here and surprise Ava.

"It's not for me and I don't like him. I'm doing this for Ava." I confessed.

"It no use Red. He won't go here even if you beg him to."

"Have any of you tried?" I ask, Emily sighs.

"You think we didn't?" Claudia interjected with a sharp tone.

"But I haven't even tried yet. You never know unless you try." I said smiling, it's been what I keep telling myself ever since I woke up. It was also this belief that I get to uncover my ability to stop time.

Some things and some people just need a little push for things to change and if that little push can't still do the trick, push further.

I might need to be careful in pushing, persuading Knight. He's no denying it strong and fast, faster than other wolves I encountered out there.

I might end up bruise trying to persuade him.

"I won't help you." Claudia proclaimed with attitude and an eye roll. How moody she is, the moment I met her back in the pack's infirmary I knew that she is woman, a witch with attitude but to be this moody, I wonder how her mate will handle her.

"Claudia..." I look at Dr. Emily, gone is her sweet and approachable smile, she is looking seriously at Claudia with a scary expression, her voice held warning as she eyed Claudia. I step back slowly but Dr. Emily notice and smile at me, gah, don't smile at me while your eyes are glaring, it's frightening!!! "She will help you Red," she turns to Claudia with a smile, "...right?"

Claudia heaved a deep sigh, glared at Dr. Emily and turns to me with a frown. I smile awkwardly.

Don't put a curse on me!!!!

"Fine!" She exclaimed with gritted teeth. She raised her hand and opened with palm, a blue fire suddenly appeared and she pointed it on me.

"Holy shit." I took another step back. She won't barbecue me, right? What if she does?! Oh my god!!!!!

"Over acting." She hissed, the blue fire travel from her palm and then in front of me. "That flame will serve as your guide to Knight's cabin in the western part of this forest." She added dismissively. I grinned at her, the flame started to fly away so I had to follow it while waving at Claudia and Emily.

I should have asked Claudia for another thing to guide me because this damned flamed is an adventurer!!!!! My goodness, does this flame have a mind of its own?! It looked like it's toying with me!

It would circle me from time to time then it would disappear. It doesn't look like a thing guiding me, more like its having a stroll on the park and here I am watching over it like a babysitter.

"Hey!!!!" This is what I'm talking about! Where in the world is that flame again? It just suddenly vanished in to thin air. It's gone and it lead me to an isolated part of the forest where the trees are bigger than the ones I usually see around the pack.

They're huge that I had to look up just to see these trees clearly, so huge that might I look like an ant. I never knew trees like this is on the pack. What are these trees even?

"What are you doing here?"

"Ahhhhhh!" s**t. I had to double take as I turn my attention behind me where the voice came from. "Do you have a habit of sneaking into people?!" I exclaimed calming my erratic beating heart.

"What are you doing here?" He repeats.

I sigh first before I look at him from head to toe and my nose almost bled, geez, this isn't fair! Here I am looking so haggard while there he is looking so fresh and... mouthwatering.

I gulp. "Why-why are you naked?!" I almost yell covering my eyes.

"I just shifted from my wolf, you, why are you here."

Oh right. I removed the cover in my eyes and is about to speak when my eyes diverted to his lower region.

What the heck.... My eyes.... How to unseen him? His boxers barely cover his... Whatever it is that he needs to cover!

I need to breath, I need oxygen. I need to remain sane but how can I?!

Knight Rochester is standing in front of me in his almost naked glory with only a boxer shorts covering him, his lower region, his hair is in a mess while sweat glisten from his shoulders, his chest and down to his abdomen.

"You... You cover up! I can't focus!" I exclaimed turning my back on him. Holy s**t, I should have prepared myself for this kind of temptation, I was kind of prepared given that I already accepted the fact that he is drop-dead gorgeous but I didn't prepare myself to see him that... raw.

"I'm dressed now." He suddenly spoke, I peak at him by removing two finger covering my eyes and indeed, he's now covered, dress as he should be. I can't help but feel disappointed.

Wow, I can't make up my mind. Heh.

"Tell me, why are you here, Red?" He asks, my brows lifted on its own. First name basis, wow, I guess I'll start calling him Knight then.

"I'm here to persuade you to attend Ava's—"

"No."

Rude. He didn't even let me finish.

He walked past me and, wait, what is he doing in that enormous tree?

My eyes widen when it glowed and as the light disappeared, the tree turned into a door.

Whut whut?

How did... Oh right, magic. Why did I forget that Claudia's a witch?

This is where he lives? Where's his house? Beyond this magical door? Ahhhh I want to see!

"May I come—"

"No."

I made a face. This iceberg of a mitch really. Does he not feel lonely being in that magical residence of his?

I know he is in pain and his loneliness must not be ease only by his pack but still, a pack is a pack; they're family. Ava is his family. Alpha Nico, Beta Charles, Maggie, Claudia and Emily, he must miss them too at some point, right?

No man is an island, was it not?

"Knight," I called out his name before he enters, "I'm... I really want to make Ava happy, with you being there I know that it will not only cheer her up, it will ease her worry and sadness away." I said.

I have a lot of things to say to him, to explain him and lots of why's to say but I couldn't. I can't make up words to tell him how much I need him.

His, wait, I need him?!

Ava needs him not me! Holy mother of cows, that thought came out wrong.

"It's dangerous if I go there." He spoke his back facing me. "You don't know how dangerous I am, Red." His voice is cold and composed but the pain and fear is undeniable.

He might be an iceberg but he already has cracks.

Knight Rochester, my heart calls out for him. I pity him that he needs to go through such sadness like this. Even if he is such a male b***h and iceberg I don't think he deserves this.

He has been through a lot, I can't imagine the fear that he has to fight, alone.

"It must be selfish of me to persuade you to go there and face Ava, I'm sorry." Once again, I became insensitive of what he feels but, I really don't know what he feels. Is he okay being alone and isolated? He sure is not. Would he be fine staying here while the pack is having fun? He looks like he's fine but his eyes... they are longing. He's like this whenever look at him, indifferent yet he's longing.

"You want her happiness." He said. "Something that I couldn't give."

"You can, of course you can. Your presence makes her happy, Knight."

"It's dangerous." He repeated. "My wolf is dangerous right now Red. He can take over me and shift without my control, he can go uncontrollable once triggered. Being in the crowd is not good." He shakes his head, "it's safer this way."

"I won't let you."

He turns to me, surprised.

"For Ava's sake," and yours, "I won't let you do anything to hurt them or anyone. You've tried it before didn't you? You were there and you're calm."

He sighs, "it's because of Claudia's magic. I can't ask her for my wolf's seal right now because she's working on a more serious spell."

"Then trust me." I should shut up, what am I doing?! "I won't let you hurt them, you won't Knight. You don't know the real me yet," I smirk, "I have tricks up my sleeve that will trap you and you will be safe, they will be safe."

"Trap me?" Eh?

I laugh awkwardly. "Wrong choice of words?" I said unsure.

He didn't answer, instead he just stared at me for a couple of second before he shakes his head. "This won't work."

I shake my head at him, “you wouldn't know unless you try." I persuade him.

"My wolf could be agitated easily in crowd. It's dangerous." He replied with a sigh.

"I told you, this time, I'm with you. It won't be dangerous." I pushed again. Just how could I persuade him to trust me? At least just this once?

"I can't take the risk." He sighs.

"You just shifted in your wolf and you look fine—"

"I'm not. I'm not fine, I was trying to shift back since I shifted in my wolf form for an hour now, he wouldn't let me shift back." He sounded tired and frustrated.

Moon goddess, that's how dominant his wolf is that even he wouldn't want his human side to shift back?

I can't really force him to come especially with his own struggle.

I tried my best.

He is looking at me from his magical door, I just smiled at him. "I understand." I sigh scratching my temple. Should I leave? I would like to think that I wasted my effort in going here but I'd be lying if I said that.

My efforts are not in vain. I've uncovered another side of Knight's story, I get to understand him more and I don't know why I'm so happy. I just am.

I chuckles lightly, "I better go." I turn my back on him but faced him again when I remember something. "By the way, I haven't thanked you for saving my life."

"I—"

"Don't try to deny it. I know it's you." I can't look at him while saying that, I'm embarrassed because after I was so harsh here I am thanking him. It would have been better if I thank him first before I said those words harshly. Oh well, past is past, I can't change it now can I? 

"Well, got to go now, bye!" I said turning my back on him and started to walk.

"Wait," I was quick to look back at him with expectant eyes. He sighs, "I'll just change." He said and entered.

My eyed widen and my lips formed a big smile.

I did it. I was able to persuade him without ended up bruised like I thought!!!

Ava's Pov*

"Congratulations, Luna Ava."

"Thank you." I smile at them, "you should all eat now. I cooked those especially for the pack."

"Thank you Luna!"

"May moon goddess bless you and your pregnancy, Luna Ava!"

"Hail to the Moon Goddess!"

I smile at all of them. Their happy smile warms my heart.

"Hey..." Nico wrap his arms around me and kissed my temple. I melt in his arms, I know he will be ten times protective to me now that I'm carrying his pup and will be unable to shift in my wolf for four months. "You make me so happy my Luna," he whispered, "so damn happy."

I lightly smile. "You're not the only one, Nic. I'm overwhelmed with happiness when I found out, up until now." I confessed. When I found out from Claudia and Emily about my pregnancy I couldn't help but cry. It's Nico and I's dream to have a pup of our own not to have an heir but just to have a pup. Our own child. The fruit of our love and bond.

We smiled at each other and looks at the hall where the celebration is held, this pregnancy and gender reveal was my idea. I was so motivated and happy that I had to look this up on YouTube and the pregnant humans’ husbands' reaction made me wonder how Nico would react. I expected his reaction but it doesn't mean I'm not moved to tears too, Nico cried when he realized I'm carrying his pup.

"You know I'm already a possessive and protective wolf Ava, but I will be worse. I'm telling you now, your safety is always my number one priority." He stayed wearing a serious expression. I pinched his cheeks and nod my head. There's no point in arguing with him, I'd be silly if I argue with him over that matter. My pregnancy is sensitive compared to others and I fully understand Nico's worry.

Watching our pack members chatting and celebrating happily, I wonder what my brother is doing now. I hoped he's here. I know he's been informed beforehand about the celebration but he didn't show up.

"Cheer up my Luna, you know Knight is worried of hurting the pack." Nico's warm hands cupped my face for me too look up to him.

"I know," I muttered. I understand him but it doesn't mean I'm not sad. Brother Knight will now be an Uncle.

A small smile played on my lips every time I remember Knight's excitement whenever we talk about having our own family, family to protect and love, building a family we once lost. He's always thrilled with the thought.

Brother... I'm pregnant, you're now an Uncle and even though you're not here, I know your happy.

I smile. At least I know that he is happy. Even for just a moment.

"AVAAAAA!!!" I turn to the huge door and there Red is running, she's not using her speed and just running normally. I smile at her but my smile drops seeing who's behind her.

My mouth hung open and my eyes started to swell.

"Bro—Brother.. " He's here.

He must have heard my whisper because he looks up and ever so slowly, his lips formed a genuine smile. His eyes travelled from my eyes to my stomach. His eyes shine with happiness, his steps quicken and the next thing I know, brother is hugging me.

The sob I was holding broke through as I buried my face on his neck. This warmth and protection that only my brother can give, not even Nico can give me this feeling. The warmth that only a family can give.

"You're here..." I sobbed.

"Inside you is an angel, Av," he whispered, "you're carrying an angel." I nod my head while crying.

Maggie's Pov*

"Red, psst," she looks at me with a questioning face. "What did you do to Knight? How were you able to drag him here?" I asks, not that it really matters but I can't help but wonder. I'm just curious. No magic restrains on Knight when he entered, that's what Claudia said. Knight came as he is, just him without anything to keep him from harming us if ever.

"Drag? You make it sound like I'm a violent person Maggie, besides, I can't drag Knight here. He wouldn't let me do that to him."

"Let's stop fooling each other, I know you're a violent woman Red, I know my team." I smirked and she laughs at that.

"Honestly, I just talked to him and promised him something in return if he comes here."

"Promise him something in return?" I ask, what could Red offer— my eyes widen. "Wow Red, even Knight fell for—"

"It is definitely not what you're thinking, Maggie. Definitely not." She rolled her eyes at me. I almost pouted, geez, I thought Knight likes Red. Come on, it would be great if he does! I totally ship them, quiet and mysterious former Alpha with naive but headstrong amnesia girl, what a perfect match they are! "Hey where's Mia by the way?" She asks.

I smile upon the mention of my daughter's name. "She's on our room, complained that she was tired after helping me out." It's a good thing that the two of us have our own room here in the pack mansion aside from own cabin. Ava thought about it since I'm always not at home doing my duty as a Gamma and is always at the pack mansion she thought it'll be better to have my own room, after the attack I decided to move some of Mia's clothes too rather than leaving her in the cabin with her babysitter. I trust her babysitter, it's just that I know my daughter needs me more than anyone else.

If things would have been easier between the two of us, Mia wouldn't miss having a father beside her.

I sigh, "I'll go upstairs and wake her up to eat." I smile at Red, I didn't wait for her response and left.

I wonder how he is now? Is he okay? Does he miss me like how I miss him? Is he affected like I am? Would he... I wonder if he knows about Mia's existence.

No, he doesn't. Only Ava, Charles and Alpha Nico knows about him being Mia's father and I think it's better that way.

Our worlds may be the same but our packs are not. It's just not possible. At least for now because I hoped that finally he can embrace us and I can accept him without thinking of both our responsibility.

"Mommy?" I place the strands of Mia's hair to her side. Her eyes remind me of him, it gives me happiness like no other and pain that word can't explain.

"Hi Mi, it's good that you're awake." I smile at her, "Aunt Ava prepared lots of food. We should head down."

Her brown eyes widen and her lips formed a big smile. The way her eyes shine is just like the way his eyes were. Beautiful.

"Really?! Yay! I'm hungry already Mommy, have you been waiting for me to take up?" She asks with her head tilted to her side adoringly. I shake my head with a smile. She pouted. "Liar. You've been watching me and waiting for me to wake up again, Mommy." I chuckle.

"You got me Mi, Mommy's waiting for you. You're such a heavy sleeper." I grab her slippers to put it on her but she shakes her head.

"I'm a big girl already Mommy and putting my own slippers is not a big deal now." She said as she wears her own slipper. "I told you Mommy, I'm now independent and someday, I will be like you! A pack's warrior and protector!" She announced with her eyes closed feeling every words she said.

"You admire me too much, Mi." You admire me and wants to become like me. I smile bitterly.

"Of course because Mommy is the strongest woman ever!!!! She's a super mommyyyyyy!!!" She squealed.

I wish I am.

I smile at her and grab her hand and left the room. As we make our way downstairs, I found Ava and Red near the stairway, they're talking seriously, Red smiled at Ava and eventually left.

"Where is she going?" I ask as soon as we got closer to Ava.

Ava turns to me and smile, "she has stories to tell somewhere." She then squats to level Mia's height. "Hey Mia, want to eat?"

My daughter nods her head like it'll roll out of her body and abandoned me to go to her Aunt Ava. I made a face, I know I'm not as good as a cook like Ava but for my own daughter to leave me just like that, it stings a bit.

"Miaaaaaa, I'm your motheeeeerrr!" I shouted, she turns her head to her side only to show me her tongue out. My gosh!

What a daughter I have, she's like Claudia, with attitude!

Shaking my head, I followed them downstairs, I can't help but stare at the huge open double doors where Red has left.

Stories to tell somewhere. What does that possibly mean?

I should ask Red some other time.

Red*

I heaved a deep sigh after I told him what has happened to me ever since I step foot in Ava's pack.

He's happy now isn't he? Finally, ...

"Heard that? I've been involved in several trouble and I'm not here for even a month yet." I stated with a chuckle.

I gulped the beer I'm holding and looks at the sky, it's half-moon tonight and the stars are shining brightly.

I smile to myself and closed my eyes savoring the cold whisper of the wind.

"You're here." My eyes snap opened and I automatically turn to the source of the voice.

What is he doing here?

"You ditched me." He stated with a serious expression.

"Thank... you." I breathed staring at his chin wide eyed.

"You ditched me Miss Red." He stated, I look up only to meet his eyes staring right back at me.
