The next morning with the sun falling through the curtains and right at me, fresh and bright, I woke up with a big yawn and jolt up when that our small moment yesterday flashes into my mind and I feel my cheeks heating up. Talon dropped me home later that evening and instead of bombarding me with questions, dad let it go. Maybe, mommy's gone out of the country might be the reason for him being down last night or... was he just too used to the two of us, already? I don't know.
But, Talon and I... I graze the pad of my thumb on my cheeks and, oh man, it does feel warm. I shake my head and shut the thoughts immediately and get off the bed.
