Tears formed in Anabel’s eyes, James whimpered a little, she didn’t know how to get in touch with any of the Angels, and she didn’t think this day would come so soon. Where was Misty, why didn’t anyone know what Dremis was up to? Shaking her head, she had to figure out how to get to Dremis, without him taking her, or putting anyone’s life in danger.
“Damn it, I want Misty now.” She said throwing her fist in the air. “Dremis took my son!” she said storming around the house like a madwoman, she wanted to go outside and find out how to get to Dremis, but this realm she was on was nothing to complain about. She made it six months before Dremis found her, how did he find her?
Samuel appeared near the window, Anabel was sitting in the corner with James, and she didn’t want to talk to anyone. “What happened, where is John?” he said looking down at the empty playpen.
“Dremis.” She said wiping the tears from her eyes, “apparently he wants some kind of trade, and I stole something from him that he wants back.” She said shaking her head. “I don’t even know what I could have stolen from him that he’d want to trade it for my sons?”
“Well you did beat him on the battlefield, and you did take the souls he’d collected over the years.” He said kneeling next to Anabel. “Trust me this was not supposed to happen, we don’t even know how he found the book or anything.” He said shaking his head.
“So did Michael come and visit me or not?” she said standing up. “I want Misty brought here, we need to make a plan to get John back.” She said laying James down on the floor, “Please go and get Misty.” She said closing her eyes. “Now!”
Samuel stood up and followed her, “we can’t.” he said shaking his head. “She can’t leave what she is doing. It will mess everything up.” He said taking a deep breath. “I already have people working on this.” He said trying to calm her down.
“Fine then, I want Carlos. Bring Carlos here.” She said folding her arms. “I’m sorry that is not possible either, you see Carlos’ mind has been erased, so he will not remember you or anything about what you two-faced together.”
Anabel wasn’t sure what he was trying to say, “so basically my team is done, I’m alone, awesome. Why don’t you excuse yourself, obviously I will have to do this on my own.” She growled. “Get out Samuel now!” she said picking up James because he started to cry. Anabel turned her back to Samuel; she didn’t want to deal with him.
“Anabel?” Samuel spoke quietly. “Please don’t be mad at me for this, this has nothing to do with me. I am just here to make sure you know not to trust anyone, I got here a little late when it came to Dremis, but we will get your son back.” He said before he left her standing in the living room.
Getting a small bag packed for James, she was going to figure out how to get back to her other son, and kill Dremis. She didn’t have her sword anymore, so she knew she was going to probably have to find another way to defeat Dremis.
Looking back at her apartment, she didn’t feel like she was leaving anything behind. She wanted to find Dremis and take her son away from him. “Are you looking for me?” Dremis said appearing only a few feet away. “So the Angels aren’t helping you, is that why you are making yourself an easy target?” he said taking a step closer to her, Drake appeared behind him with two other demons. “So I guess I’ll just take you two now.” He said grabbing Anabel’s arm.
“As long as you take me back to my son.” She said looking down at James. “I’ll go with you willingly for now.” She said pulling James closer to her.
Drake grabbed her other arm, “yeah we’ve heard that one before.” He said as they disappeared and reappeared in a dark cave.
“So you still live in a cave? Caveman.” She said sarcastically “where is John?” she said looking at Dremis waiting for him to tell her, he didn’t say anything. Drake dragged Anabel by the arm into Dremis’ throne room.
“You want to see your other son?” Dremis said sitting in his chair. “What will you give me in return? Did you get the soul I want back?” he said playing with his fingers.
Anabel looked around hoping to see or at least hear John’s cry, but it was quiet.
“Don’t worry he’s not here.” He looked up at her. “My soul do you have it?” he said standing up.
Anabel shook her head; she didn’t even know what soul he was talking about. “I don’t even know what you’re talking about?” she said shaking her head. “Why do you care about souls anyways?” she said trying to rock James so he went back to sleep, but he stared at her.
Dremis took a step towards Anabel, “well if you don’t have the soul that I want, then I guess I don’t have a son you want.” He said walking away from her. “Drake take your Wife to her room, we’ll prepare for her demon turning.” He said over his shoulder.
Drake grabbed Anabel, pulling her down a hallway and pushing her into a room. “Well, I guess you’re mine again.” He said closing the door behind him and walking towards Anabel. “Can I hold him?” he said looking down at James.
“No!” she said walking away from him. “If you bring me, John, then you can. But until then, no!” she said sitting down on the bed, stroking James’ hair. “Please just bring me back my son.” She said shaking her head at him.
Drake took a step “You just have to give him what he wants, and then he’ll give you what you want.” He tried touching James, but Anabel pulled him away.
Anabel looked at Drake, “I don’t even know what he wants?” she said shaking her head. She didn’t want to give him what he wanted, but she wanted her son back. “Just tell me what I have to do or at least tell me what he wants?”
“I want you soul,” Dremis said walking into the room. “You see that is the whole goal here, your children will follow your lead, you just have to commit to giving me your soul, and your son will be back in your arms in minutes after our agreement is signed.” He half-smiled at her. “So Ms. Knight what is your choice?”
