I didn’t know what he wanted me to say to him, because at this point, I couldn’t come up with a response to what he had said. After all, it wasn’t exactly the kind of statement that you would have a response ready for. I was far from comfortable with what was going on between the two of us at the moment, but there was nothing that I could do about any of it. I had signed up to have him here, since I had been the only one to blame for the fact that he didn’t already know the thing that he had come here for.
