It took no time at all before I finally found myself laying in bed, the blankets wrapped around me as best as I could manage doing them by myself. I hadn’t even bothered to go and bath, or do any of those things that normally needed to be done before going to bed. I was more exhausted than I was able to admit, and I didn’t think that Marcel really understood that. As tired as he had claimed to be, he had been more than capable of taking the time to go and bath and freshen up, which was something that I considered to be a tell-tale sign that he had been lying to me when he had claimed to be too tired to go back to his own chambers.
