"Come on dude! Seriously? We are going to be late. I don't want to miss her shifting!" I growled, annoyed under my breath at Roger's lack of urgency.
Roger had convinced me that he needed to come with me, be my wingman... for moral support... and safety.
Yeah right!
He was tagging along to see if he could find his next f*ck...
"Yeah, yeah, I'm coming," he answered, and walked out of the room, closing the door behind him.
I hired a room for the night, seeing that we would be on foot most of the way through the forest, and then climb the mountain to the top. We will be exhausted when we return, and most probably sleep the remainder of the day...
