"You scared the hell out of me, Beth! I thought it was Luciana or Alpha Jacob who opened the door," I exclaimed when I saw my maid opening the door. My heart raced like many horses were running fast inside my chest. I was extremely scared. I thought I was caught by Alpha Jacob and Luciana.
"I'm sorry, Ma'am Lilac. I just wanted to know what Luciana was planning. I saw her sneaking into your room and taking your handkerchief. Then she places a small basket behind your bed. When she left your room, I followed her quietly and saw her enter Alpha Jacob's room," Beth explained.
I dragged her into the room to make sure that no one would see my maid standing at the open door of Alpha Jacob's room even if the Alpha wasn't in his room.
