I observe the way she blinks her eyes. Seconds before she's blessing me with the sound of her subtle laughter. But she sounds confused making me wonder. Should I clear myself once more? What part of my statement did she not understand exactly?
Lottie drags her fingers across her hair and digs the tips of her fingers into her scalp, confused. "I'm sorry what? Why?"
"You know," I say, the sides of my lips showcasing a subtle tilt to it, revealing a small smile playing when I lock gazes with her. "We started off on a wrong foot back then and I was hoping to get to know you better. So care to join me later?"
