Harper’s POV
I thought about the game I played with Lake yesterday when we met by the lake. Her answer for the more exciting thing she saw was a family of dragons teaching their youngest how to fly. That’s what Lake wanted; she wanted a big happy family to guide her and be proud of her. She sees her pack as her family but I wish she’d see me as her family. She could join my pack and I’d be proud of her.
“What do you mean you didn’t ask her?” Rudy whispered to me in the morning as I waited in front of the packhouse for Ben, Carson, and Lexi so we could meet with Alpha Wilson and Luna Nichole.
“I forgot.” I shrugged. “It got kind of serious so we sat then flew in silence for a lot of the time.”
