Lake’s POV
I smiled when Harper agreed to meet with me in a week instead of a month. We kissed before she shifted and left. I shifted and flew in circles for a while to get her scent off me then I landed halfway from the lake and packhouse. I ran in my human form and when I got to the packhouse I made sure I didn’t smell like her. Unfortunately, I still did but it was already so late. Everyone was on edge because of what happened to Teddy. My dad wanted us all in before dark… it had already been dark for a while. I rushed up the stairs past a few pack members and Morgan into my room.
‘Lake, did you just get back?’ Morgan asked over mindlink.
‘Yeah, I lost track of time.’ I quickly undressed and threw my clothes in a corner of my room.
‘Your parents have been looking for you.’
