Nova reached her hand up to her mouth, her eyes wide open. "I, I, I." She started stepping backwards. "I can't." She shook her head back and forth. "Maddy." She turned and started running down the stairs.
"WAIT!" Ethan yelled, and started to chase her, but he bent over in pain.
Elijah ran over, Maddy behind him. He put his hand on Ethan's back. "Are you ok?"
Ethan shook his head. "My mate, she took of, she said I cant and then just ran off."
Elijah and Maddy looked up to see Nova running away.
"Nova wait!" Maddy called, but she kept running.
"I'll get her." Elijah took off down the stairs towards her. He was much faster then her and able to catch up to her pretty quickly. He got in front of her and held out his hands. "Woah woah what. Why did you take off?"
