"Who are you, really?" she asked.
"Err… that's – " I said.
Her eyes narrowed.
Crap. Better to tell him the truth now. I thought. I took a deep breath. "Thewholekingdommistookmeastheprincess." I said.
"Huh?" both Vice and the fairy said.
I sighed. "The… whole kingdom mistook me as the princess." I said.
The fairy didn't answer.
"Ah, but - !" I spoke. "I had no choice! They'd kill me if they found out I'm not the princess – "
"They…" the fairy spoke. "… mistook you as Yelena?" she asked.
I nodded. "Sorry." I said.
"This is…" she said.
I looked at her. She's thinking deeply. Surely she won't kill me, right? I thought. I'm the main character –
"You." She said.
"Yes?" I asked.
"You said your name was also 'Yelena', right?" she asked.
I nodded. "Yeah. That's one of the reasons why they mistook me as the princess." I explained.
She nodded. "And you also look like Yelena." He said.
"That's because I'm Yelena – "
"But not the princess." She said. I shut up. She sighed. "What am I gonna do now…?" she asked, then sighed. "Yelena's missing – "
"Uh, I'm here - ?" I said.
She ignored me. "And Vincent's… he's in the hands of the evil king." She said, then sighed. "What should I do…?" she asked.
"Err…" I said. "You could come with us to save the prince – " I told her.
"Woah, wait. What 'us'?" Vice asked.
"Hmm? I thought you're going with me since you said you had nowhere to go to – " I said.
"No way in hell I'm going in danger with you!" Vice snapped.
"Then, you're okay to face danger alone - ?" I asked.
"That's not what I meant!" she said, then sighed. "I'm not gonna help you save the prince – " she told me.
"Huh?" I said. "But you said you're happy that I agreed to save the prince – "
"Yes. You. But not me." she said, flat-out.
My jaw dropped to the ground. "What the heck…" I said. "I thought you're joining me – "
"That's just what you thought. It's not what I think." She said and leaned on the tree.
My jaw dropped fifteen feet below the ground. "No way…" I said, shocked. "I'm… I'm keeping a hypocrite here. I'm friendly with a hypocrite…" I muttered in disbelief.
"So you're really saving Vincent even though you're not the princess?" the fairy asked. I just nodded, still shocked. "How benevolent of you." She said, then grinned. "Well, then. You'll be my servant!" she announced.
"Huh?" I muttered.
"Hmp! I have superpowers, while you don't have. I can cast magic spells, while you're just a human that's deceiving the whole kingdom to leech off her life – " the fairy said.
I gasped, then glared at Vice. "Hey! What lies did you tell to her - ?"
"Lies that are really truth." Vice answered.
I gasped. "Well, that's true… not!" I protested. "In fact, I'm the saving grace of the kingdom – "
"How conceited." They both said.
"Hey!" I said.
The fairy sighed. "Well, then. You'll be my servant – "
"Hey!" I said. "Wait a minute. Who the heck are you anyway why do you feel like you're an important character in this story – " I asked.
"Hah!" the fairy said, then lifted her chin. She pointed me. "You! You should know the childhood friend of the one you're faking!" she told me. "I'm Rio, best friend of the East Kingdom's one and only princess – Yelena!" she said.
"Ah. So you're just a best friend – " I said.
A vein popped in her forehead and a ball of fire appeared in her palm. "You vile woman - !" she said as her body turned glowing red again.
"Uh-oh…" I muttered, then ran. "Waaaahh!!! Help!!!!" I screamed as I jumped when a ball of fire went to my feet. "Hot! Hot! Hot! Hot - !" I said as I ran.
…
"Okay. Time out." I said, panting.
"You vile woman – " Rio said, then took a deep breath. "You're nowhere near Yelena." She said.
"As I said, I'm Yelena – waaah!" I said as a ball of fire appeared again in her palm.
She took a deep breath and the fire disappeared. "If you are the real Yelena, the East's princess, you could save Vincent." She told me. "But you aren't. You disappoint me." she said and turned back.
"Hey! You're in no position to tell me my worth – !" I said, then got up. "You don't know me!" I added. "And I bet you don't even know the real princess – " I said. She stopped. "Hah! So you really don't!" I smugly smirked. "You're just all talk – "
"Leave." She said.
"Huh?"
"I said leave." She said. "Don't ever come here again." She told me, then left.
"Hah! Sure I won't! I don't want to see a person – no, a being – that's just all talk, anyway!" I said and marched away.
Vice's POV
I saw Rio went back alone. "Where's Yelena?" I asked.
"Don't ever speak her name in front of me." I told her.
My face turned serious. "What happened?" I asked. She didn't answer. I sighed. "She did something, didn't she?" I asked.
She took a deep breath. "She's right. I really don't know all about the princess…" she muttered. "Since she changed so much…" she muttered.
"Huh?"
She shook her head and smiled sadly. "Nothing." She said. "You can go after her." She told me, then disappeared.
"What was that?" I muttered, then left to look for Yelena. "I hope she didn't do anything stupid – ah." I muttered and made a pause. "She'd sure do something stupid since she's stupid." I shook my head, then sighed. "I hope she hasn't gone far yet." I muttered and looked for her.
Yelena's POV
I sighed as I walked aimlessly. "That sure was below the belt." I said. "She's just a kid, her feelings are fragile. She's best friends with the princess, and I said all that…" I muttered, then bit my lower lip. "I hope I could still apologize to her." I sighed, my guilt is gnawing my heart. I took a deep breath. "Okay - !" I said. "I'd go back – oww!" I cried when my nose bumped to something. "What the heck – " my eyes went wide when I looked up. "Waaaaah!!!" I screamed and punched as hard as I could. "Waaaahh - !!!"
Vice's POV
"Yelena!" I called, then turned back when I heard her scream. "What happened to her?!" I asked, my heart was eaten by fear. "Please! Don't let anything happen to her!" I said, then touched the pendant of the necklace Aunt Lilia gave me. "Yelena…!" I muttered, then ran faster to where Yelena's voice came from.
