Chapter 13: The Cursed Knight

(Still in Vice's POV)
"So…" I said. "What the heck is this?" I asked, then looked at Yelena suspiciously.
"I promise! I really didn't kill him!" she said, panicky.
"Why the heck are you still here?" Rio asked, stern.
"Err…" Yelena said, scratching her cheek. "I, uh… I'm sorry for earlier - !" he said, then bowed.
Rio was taken aback. "What – " she said, then looked away. Her ears are red. "It's okay. I was wrong, too – " she said.
"Really?" Yelena asked.
Rio nodded.
"Ah! Thanks!" Yelena said, then smiled.
We blushed. She's… really beautiful. We thought. Rio and I looked at each other.
Rio glared at me.
Huh? What's that? Why did she – I thought.
She cleared her throat. "Anyway, Yelena…" Rio said. "Who is this?" she asked and pointed the person lying on the ground.
"Err… dunno. I was startled when I turned and he was there." Yelena said. "I punched him, thinking it was a bear – " she explained.
I sighed. "Why do you invite troubles?" I asked.
Yelena glared at me. "I don't!" she protested.
I chuckled.
Rio smiled. "Anyway…" she said and placed her hand above the man's head. Suddenly, her hand glowed a warm yellow.
"Woah! Amazing!" Yelena said, awed.
I smiled. She's like a kid.
"You forgot I'm a fairy, didn't you?" Rio asked while she's healing the man.
Yelena grimaced, then looked away. Rio rolled her eyes and continued to heal the man.
Yelena's POV
We gasped when he coughed. "Ah. He's awake." We said.
The man opened his eyes. "Where – " he said and his eyes wandered around.
"Are you alright?" Rio asked. "You broke your nose – " she said and leaned to the man's face. "If not for some i***t – " she said and turned to glare at me.
"Hey." I said, then frowned.
"Ahaha." Vice laughed awkwardly.
"Your nose – eh?" Rio said and turned.
"Ah." We muttered when we saw the man fell asleep.
"Hey." Rio said, her face dark. Her glowing body turned glowing red. "Can I land the finishing blow to him – " she asked and a ball of fire appeared on her palm.
"Ah, no - !" Vice and I said and stopped her.
"Damn this jerk! How dare he sleep without answering my question - ?!" Rio said, mad.
Emil's POV
I excused myself to take a piss. I was humming back when I saw the princess and her friend were gone.
"Huh? Princess Yelena?" I called. "Princess Yelena!" I shouted. "Your Highness - !" I called and stopped, then covered my mouth. "Wait, wait… they're gone… could they be - ?!" I gasped and my face paled. "It can't be! The princess told me it was just a joke when she kissed that woman…" I muttered. "Wait. Or is she telling me she's just joking with me when she told me it was a joke - ? Argh!" I screamed and pulled my hair.
I paced back and forth in the forest.
"They should've told me from the start that they want to spend their time alone together – " I said. "Or the princess is just shy to tell her mother that she wants to…" I covered my mouth and chuckled. "The princess sure is already grown-up… but still a kid inside…" I chuckled. "If he wanna do it with her, she could've just told it straight to her mother, since the queen would surely understand her – " I said and walked away to go out in the forest. "Ah… the prince is really… that woman is really her lover. She chose right." I said and smiled as I walked out the forest, leaving the two to have their time alone together.
The queen's POV
"Your Majesty!" I heard Emil called.
I was watering the roses in the garden. "Yes?" I asked and turned to him.
"Your Majesty! The plan succeeded!" I reported.
"Oh, my." I said and covered my mouth when I grinned. I smiled at Emil. "Good work! You may now return." I told him.
He bowed. "Yes!" he said, then left.
I smiled and hummed as I water the rose.
"Dear? What was that?" I heard my husband asked.
"Oh, my." I said and smiled at him.
"Anything good happen?" he asked when he saw my eyes are twinkling.
I smiled brightly. "Our daughter will surely have a bright future." I answered.
He smiled. "She sure will do." He said.
Sometimes, I wonder if my husband really gets what I was saying. I thought, then smiled.
Yelena's POV
"Tch! Damn that man! I wish I didn't help him – " Rio said and glared at me. "This is your fault – " she told me.
I raised my both hands. "Woah, woah! It isn't my fault if he snubbed you – hii"! I gasped when a ball of fire appeared in Rio's palm and her body turned glowing red. "Ah, yes. This is entirely my fault – " I said.
Vice chuckled. "Yelena. You really invite troubles – " she said.
"Hey!" I said, then frowned.
Vice chuckled and sipped his tea. We're inside Rio's lair. We looked at the man who's still sleeping.
Suddenly, Rio sighed. We looked at him. "He's cursed." she said.
"Huh?"
She looked at us. "It was actually the curse that made him knocked out." Rio said.
I sighed, relieved.
"Yelena's punch is just a bonus – " Rio added.
I spit on my tea.
"Disgusting." Rio said.
I glared at her and wiped my mouth. "Anyway, what do you mean cursed?" I asked.
Rio sighed. "That man…" she said. "He's a knight."
"Oh. Like Emil?" I asked.
"Oh! You also meet Emil?" Rio asked, excitedly.
"How can't she when she was mistaken as the East's princess?" Vice said, then grinned.
Rio glared at me.
"Err…" I said, grimaced. I glared at Vice.
Rio sighed. "Anyways, that knight... he was cursed to walk for eternity – " she said.
"What… did you say?" we heard a voice said.
We turned. Our eyes went wide. "Wa…. WAAAAHHH!!!!!" we screamed.
"Wha – " Rio said as she flew.
Vice and I hid behind the trees.
"You're awake?!" Rio said, surprised.
The knight's eyes narrowed. "A fairy…" he said.
Rio's face turned puzzled. "Yeah. So?" she said, then crossed her arms.
"What do you meant I'm cursed?" the knight asked. "And…" he looked around. "Where am I, exactly?" he asked.
"In the forest." Vice answered and went out of hiding.
"Forest?" the knight said. "Why should I be here? I was about to kill the evil king – " he stopped. "The evil king…" he said, then looked at us. "What – " he said, looking around. "Ugh!" he cried, then touched his head. "What was… what the hell happened…?" he said, then went down to his knees. "Argh!" he screamed.
"He… hey!" we called when he suddenly fainted.
