Chapter 7-At the office

Jemmica is happy to fulfill her duties as the Luna of the pack together with her personal maid who is always on her side to give her snacks, help, and words of motivation. She was now walking back to the palace because she already finished the task of the agriculture program for all the she-wolf in the village. She would arrange all the activities and check the budgets and funds just like what the Alpha told her.

“I’m sure that the Alpha will be pleased because of your job well done, Luna,” Lidia commented.

She smiled. “I hope so. But you knew him. He is not that easy to please.”

“But you did a great job on that one. Even the women of the pack were praising you,” the lady replied.

She giggled. “Let’s just not expect something, Lidia.”

The maid didn’t respond to her and just continue walking beside her quietly. She was happy and proud deep inside of her, but she didn’t want to show that to anyone, especially to the mighty wolf, because she didn’t want them to think anything negative about her. Also, she didn’t want to expect something from them because she knew how cruel the Alpha was. She might do something good, but for him, it was still nothing compared to all of his achievements.

Lidia excused herself when they finally reached the palace. She smiled and let the maid do her chores while she continue her way to the second floor to go to the Alpha’s office. Her heart was hammering her chest fast and hard, but she need to report on him so, she just took a deep breath and gather all the courage she had. Then she turned the doorknob and opened the door.

Drake was handsomely sitting on his swivel chair while busily reading something on his desk. She slowly walked closer to his desk as she can't help herself from admiring his beauty.

“What do you want?” the mighty wolf asked.

She cleared her throat. “I-I am here to give the data that I finished, Alpha. I am done with my duties for today and I made sure that I did them well.”

The Alpha looked at her seriously. “Let me see.”

Jemmica nodded and cautiously put the folder on his desk. Drake took it and check everything inside. Her heart was beating fast because of nervousness, especially when the mighty wolf closed the folder and put it back on his desk. He rested his elbows on the desk, clasped his hands together, and eyed her darkly.

“D-Did I do something wrong, Alpha?” she asked.

She gulped when the Alpha didn’t respond to her but stood up instead. He walked closer to her with his dark stare, making her heart skips a bit. Even though he is a cruel Alpha, she still can't deny the fact that he is attractive and hot. She didn’t even notice that he was already in front of her, making her look down on the floor.

“A-Alpha, if we don’t have anything to discuss, I may take my leave now,” she stuttered.

But when she was about to walk past through him, the mighty wolf grabbed her hand and pulled her to the side a little to reach her waist and push her towards the desk. She didn’t know what to do as she can now hear the loud and hard beating of her heart. Then the Alpha hold his chin to make her face him, giving shivers down her spine.

“I hate the fact that you are making me turn on,” Drake growled.

She gulped. “I-I didn’t do anything.”

She didn’t answer her maid because she was still not in a stable state. They just continue their way to her room while Lidia was embracing her to secure the blanket was that wrapped around her naked body.
