“You are not allowed to enter her room, Mr Laurier!” Jemmica frowned when she heard Lidia’s voice panicking outside her room. She slid down off her bed and walked anxiously towards the closed door. She was startled when it suddenly burst open and a guy entered with two paper bags in his hands. Her personal maid runs after him, restricting him to enter. “Julien, what are you doing here?” she asked. The handsome guy with a few similar features to the Alpha smiled at her. “I am here to visit you, my lady. How have you been? I’ve been away for almost five months and when I came back here, I went straight to the Blood Moon pack to meet you but your parents told me that you and my *sshole brother were married.” “I should’ve sent you an invitation or message. I’m sorry. It’s just that, I was shocked, too. It happened so fast that even I can't still believe it until now,” she replied. “Luna, the Alpha will be mad if he found out that we allowed someone enter your room aside from me and him,” the woman said hysterically. She shook her head. “Julien is his brother, Lidia.” The maid was about to complain but the Alpha’s brother hushed her by putting his index finger on the lady’s lips. Lidia seems defeated as she walked to the door and just stand there like a bodyguard. Julien Aaron Laurier is the Alpha’s brother who was the same age as her. The mighty wolf is four years older than them and is far from Julien’s traits and behavior. The guy in front of her is bubbly, kind, sweet, and everything nice, unlike his brother. She knew him since they were little when Julien got lost and found him in their garden, alone and crying like a baby. “I brought you some food. So, tell me. How was the married life feels like?” he implied. She smiled. “Chaotic and new, I guess. Thank you for this, Julien.” The kind wolf took out the food from the paper bags and put them on the table. There are two boxes of cupcakes, five chocolate bars, and peaches that are all her favorite treats. She happily checks them all while opening one of the boxes of cupcakes with different flavors inside. “I bought all of these because I can’t stop myself thinking about you,” Julien chuckled. She looked at him. “Why is that?” “I just miss home, I guess. And traveling alone was kind of boring. You should come with me next time,” the Alpha’s brother said. They talked and laughed together about their childhood days and random topics. They also eat all the food and were ready to get some more outside when the door burst open and the angry mighty wolf entered. “Hello, brother! I have something for you in the living room. It’s the latest edition of the book of the author that you like the most,” Julien beamed. Drake looked at the maid beside the door. “I told you to restrict everyone from entering here? Are you even listening?!” Lidia took some steps back, afraid of the Alpha’s anger. “I-I’m sorry, Alpha.” The kind wolf walked closer to his brother and shielded the poor lady by standing between them. “Chill, brother! I am the one to blame. I was just happy that Alaia is finally here. You knew that we were best friends.” “Why are you here?” Drake questioned. “I went to her pack to visit her but her parents told me that she was already married to you so, here I am, spending some time with her. Why and what are you so mad about?” his brother asked. The mighty wolf growled as he grabbed Julien’s arm and dragged him outside. Jemmica was startled when the door closed with a loud thud. She was worried about her friend because based on the Alpha’s expression and action, she knew that he was really angry. Her personal maid started cleaning the mess on the table while she was walking back and forth. “Does he can really hurt his brother?” she asked. Lidia looked at her. “You didn’t know the Alpha, Luna. He is ruthless.” “Ohh, my, gosh. I hope it's that serious. Julien did nothing wrong,” she mumbled. The lady put all the garbage in the paper bag. “I warn him. There’s nothing else I can do.” “Can I talk to him? I will try to convince him that his brother did nothing wrong. Julien is my friend and he knew that because he was also there with him to visit my twin sister, Jessica,” she implied. Her maid shook her head. “Don’t you dare interfere, Luna. If you do that, I’m sure he will torture you again.” She knew that but she didn’t want Julien to get hurt just because he visited her. If something bad happened to him, it’s basically her fault. She will blame herself for days and might be drowned in sadness, too. Julien is the only friend she has. The guy is so kind and spent his time in her room to join her in all her boring stuff. They paint, read, draw, eat, and laugh together all day until Julien’s parents came to pick him up. The two of them were so happy back then that pushed her in wishing to go back in the past. If only they can forever be a child with no problems and full of innocence and freedom. Jemmica sat in her favorite spot near the window after Lidia left. She looked around her room and even though luxury is around her, all she can see is the gloomy four sides of it. Material things can’t force someone to be happy and feel complete. She sighed as she looked out the window while feeling the fresh air touching her face. She was about to close her eyes when the door sprung open and a grinning man entered. She quickly stood up and moved closer to him. “Are you alright? Did he hurt you?” she questioned. Julien shook his head. “I am fine, Alaia. How about you? Does he do something bad to you? Tell me.” She looked down, avoiding his gaze. “H-He never treat me nicely since I came here.” “Are you always been locked up here in your room?” he asked. She nodded. “No one is allowed to enter and I never tried to go out as well.” “D*mn that bastard! He never changes, aye? What else did he do to you?” Julien exclaimed. She turned her back to him and started walking back to the chair near the window. “He forced himself on me. He took my v*rginity without any remorse.” She jolted and turned to him when she heard a loud noise. Her eyes widened when she saw that the table in the center of the couches was now broken. She looked at him as he was clenching his fists and a dark aura was circulating around him. He looked pissed and with no particular reason, she felt touched. “J-Julien,” she uttered. “F*ck that pack merging and contract! Why did your parents agree with that? You are not Jessica so this is not your responsibility. You are allowed to protest, Alaia. D*mn it!” he blurted. He is right. She should’ve complained about that arrangement. She should've done something to fight for what she wanted. Julien’s words hit her hard, making her feel guilty and terrified. She is not her twin sister and she has the right to object to the contract agreement. But because she is a coward, she just obeyed them without any hesitation. The death of her sister had a big impact on her and pushed her to follow her parent's wishes. The Alpha’s brother holds her hands, making her jolt for a second. “I’m sorry if I crossed the line. I didn’t mean to offend you.” She shook her head. “N-No. I am okay. What you said was right. I should've done something. I am a coward, Julien. I’m sorry. I dragged myself to this situation.” “Look, Alaia. I’m sorry. I am just so mad, making me spilled harsh words but I didn’t mean to hurt you. Let’s just focus on your current situation because the past is past and can't be turned back. So, what’s your plan?” he implied. She frowned. “What do you mean?” “To my brother. What are your plan for him?” he replied. She shook her head. “I-I don’t know.” Jemmica’s mind was clouded with a lot of unsolved questions and negative things. She didn’t know what to think and to do. She needs a lot of time to make a great plan on how to be free from her cruel husband.
