I asked her about being my power of attorney, and by the look on her face, I wasn't sure she would agree. I know it was a lot to ask, but I really had no one else. I could probably ask her friend, Amber. She had been to visit me a few times, but I felt it inappropriate.
Surprisingly, Kat agreed to do it. She said she would speak with my dad's attorney and make the arrangements. "Seth, I don't know what all I can do for you, but as long as I can, I will help. I promised you a long time ago that I would never turn my back on you, and I plan to keep that promise. No matter how you treat me," she said.
