Katrina followed through and did just as she said she would. She was now my POA and had gotten my house secured to be empty for a long while. She even got together the things I needed, and set up all the mail to go to Charlie's house. Most of it anyway. The important bank and property stuff would go to Amber's.
She came to see me the night before she left for school, and she gave me her new address so that I could write to her. She assured me that she would continue to put money on my phone and commissary books, and in my heart it hurt to know she was going away for a while.
