“This platter is ready to go,” Marina called out. “Red tuna, avocado, and mango towers.”
With just ten minutes until the party began, Ethan and Heather were carrying out the cold appetizers. Kai was orchestrating placement while keeping watch for early arrivals.
“Save some for us, Mom.” Ethan lifted the platter with ease and swung out of the kitchen.
“We have plenty,” Marina said to Heather. “Take some for you and Ethan. Can’t have you going hungry.”
“Are you kidding? You’ve had us tasting all day. I’m stuffed, and I have no idea how Ethan can eat so much.”
“He’s golfing and working out every day.”
