10 Marina sucked in a little breath. Jack had arrived, and she hadn’t even had time to change or brush her hair. Not that things like that mattered between people who were just friends. “Come in. You’re early.” Jack stepped inside the guest cottage and greeted Axe. “Right on time, actually. The day has a way of getting away from me, too.” Marina remembered that while Jack knew Ethan, he hadn’t met Heather.
