Chapter Twelve - Present

“Girl, you have to calm down,” Julie sniffed while looking at Clara’s state, she was denying the fact that her parents were dead.

“I-I can’t Julie, they’re lying to me, my parents are here, alive, they probably have flowers and cake to surprise me for this day,” She claimed, but Julie just shook her head.

“Didn’t you hear what they said? The car exploded, you’re holding their things inside of a ziplock!” She exclaimed, so Clara stared at the ziplock that she was holding.

She almost lost it after seeing the burnt wallet, important papers, and private IDs of her parents, “B-But we don’t have a car, Julie,” Clara whispered while whimpering, so she immediately hugged her.

“I’m sorry about what happened to you, I heard that they were planning to give it to you on your graduation day girl, so they kept it hidden,” Julie then cried with her, so Clara just shook her head.

“N-No, Julie, they can’t be dead, they should’ve seen me on that stage, they should’ve,” She collapsed on the ground.

Julie and Clara remained crying on the side they stayed as they let Julie’s parents manage the mess, they were both in pain from hearing the news.

They just couldn’t believe that it happened so fast, they both just waved her parents goodbye before they attended the graduation.

After several days, Clara finally composed herself and attended the funeral of her parents that Mr. & Mrs. Rose helped take care of.

She didn’t cry after placing their ashes in a columbarium, so everyone was worried about her, she was just silent the whole time until the funeral ended.

“Are you sure you don’t want me to stay with you?” Julie asked, she was contemplating going home since Clara insisted on staying in the columbarium to stare at her parent’s grave.

She just gave her a fake smile before nodding, “I’ll be fine, I just want to be here for them,” Clara reassured her, so Julie just sighed before giving her a long, tight hug.

Julie knows Clara’s a strong woman, she didn’t even see her cry ever since high school despite a lot of hardships she faced, just now that her parents died, “I’m one call away girl, we’ll be here for you,” Julie reassured, so she just smiled as tears stung her eyes.

“I know you guys will, thank you for the help, please tell that to Mr. & Mrs. Rose again,” She beamed.

After Julie left her, she looked at her parent’s grave again before closing her eyes, she just couldn’t believe that it happened.

It was a very tragic accident, she couldn't bring herself to accept it, but she had to or her parents wouldn’t be at peace.

“M-Mom, dad, I miss you already,” She whispered before crying out loud alone at that columbarium.

Timothy, on the other hand, was wearing a mask and hood, watching Clara weep from the outside.

He couldn’t forgive himself for not being there for his King and Queen after he received their message. He thought maybe after they sent the message the car immediately exploded.

Timothy gripped his hands and took out his gun when he felt someone arrive from behind, “Ace, you’re here,” He calmed down after hearing that familiar voice.

“Sally,” Timothy called, so Sullivan Saverino Crestfallen in a disguise approached him and gave him a long, tight hug.

“Why are you here? We’re not allowed to see each other yet,” Timothy coldly mumbled from his back, but Sullivan didn’t mind him.

“Everyone heard that the King and Queen died, they were livid, they were surprised, they couldn’t believe it,” He informed him before breaking their hugs against each other, so Timothy just averted his gaze at him.

“This is my fault, if only I was skilled enough to help them, this wouldn’t happen, King and Queen should've been alive,” He mumbled, so Sullivan shook his head.

“Get it together Ace, we still have her, both of them would be livid if we wasted time to mourn for their deaths, we now have to look after their daughter,” He said, which made Timothy clench his fists.

“I heard that she’ll take a one or two-year break before looking for work, she’ll try to recover from what just happened,” He informed Sullivan, so he just nodded.

“That’s understandable,” Sullivan sighed before looking at Clara from afar, “I heard she has a strong spirit, it might take time, but she’ll recover,”

“I may inform Serene about her identity so that she could adopt her, she’ll be bankrupt if she doesn't work,” Timothy sighed.

Sullivan just nodded at him, “We’ll just continue watching her from afar, I heard that they don’t have any idea that Clara’s alive, so let’s keep her identity safe,”

Timothy just stared at Clara intently before nodding, “The Stone Kingdom is preoccupied with protecting themselves because Zaveri’s doing everything he can to avenge his parent's death,”

“Should we let them meet?” Sullivan suggested, but Timothy just shrugged, “Both of them might just click,”

“Stop playing cupid at this time of crisis, Sally,” Timothy warned, so he just chuckled at what he just said.

“I know, I know, calm down,” Sullivan then caressed his cheeks before smiling, “And the King and Queen wouldn’t be happy if you blame yourself on this matter,”

Timothy held on to his hand before closing his eyes, “Alright, don’t worry I’ll be fine, now go before someone else’s see us together,”

“Does she know about what truly happened?” Sullivan curiously asked, but he shook his head.

“I made it possible to make it look like an accident, she doesn’t have any idea what the past of our King and Queen were,” Timothy replied.

“So when are we going to tell her about her new duty and role?” Sullivan asked, so he was silent for a moment.

“I’m not sure, when the time is right, or when the Stone Kingdom finally realizes who she was, for the meantime, let’s watch over her,” He mumbled.

Sullivan just frowned before nodding, “And when can we be together again?” He curiously asked, there was a hint of longingness in his tone.

“When the time is right and we have our Queen back, I’ll be there for you,” After Timothy said those words, he disappeared into the woods and didn’t wait for Sullivan to go.

Sullivan bowed his head at the columbarium and gazed at the skies, “We’ll look after your princess, King and Queen, rest assured that we will,”

After he said those words, he came back doing his own business and established a new organization underground to gather some resources and information.

“We did it, we killed them both and their daughter,” Lowella beamed as she clinked glasses with Vladimir that had a solemn look on his face.

They found out that Arthur and Claire had died and already had their funeral, they had different identities that’s why it was difficult to locate them for years.

He also thought that they killed their daughter, but Timothy purposely sent him a message from his sniper that was killed by Tristan.

“Are you not happy that we did it this time?” She tilted her head at him before pacing to caress his chest.

Vladimir shook his head before biting his lower lip, “Of course I am, but what am I going to do now that they’re gone?”

He tightly gripped his wine glass before looking at Lowella, “I’m still in pain, mad, and there’s still a void inside of me after learning that they had died, why am I feeling this?!” Vladimir threw his wine glass on the wall before using both of his hands to rub his face.

“Why can’t I be overjoyed? Why do I feel bad for killing her?” Vladimir whispered while cursing himself on the inside.

Lowella was stunned, she was surprised at what she heard from him. After all those years that they’ve been together, it’s still her that’s running on his mind.

“Am I not good enough for you?” Lowella couldn’t help but blurt that out, she didn’t know why she did that, she was also sure that she was in love with Arthur.

But hearing him die was nothing to her, she was overjoyed that both of them did because this time, she'll just be at peace while being with each other’s side.

“What do you mean? Of course, you’re good enough for me, I just think that my heart still cares for her, that’s how much I loved her,” Vladimir hissed before walking towards Lowella.

“Sleep with me, all night, fill my mind with your moans,” He requested before crashing his lips against her, but Lowella stopped him.

“You can, but this time, stop saying her name, she’s long gone Vlad, say my name this time,” Vladimir averted his gaze at her before nodding.

“I’ll try doing it for you, but no promises,” Vladimir almost crashed his lips against hers when Zephyr and Lois Onyx entered the room and bowed their heads at them.

“Tristan Jay Zaveri has already taken down Jet and Obsidian, what should we do?” They curiously asked, so Vladimir’s eyes widened before smirking.

“That is right, we still have that Zaveri alive, maybe that is why I’m feeling this way, our revenge isn’t complete yet,” Vladimir let go of Lowella and paced towards those two.

He found out that Karyl and Adrian were the sole reason why Claire and Arthur escaped that day and he wouldn’t forgive them for what they did.

A loud ringing of the phone was to be heard, so Lois took out his phone before gasping, “Boss, he’s onto the Tourmaline Kingdom, what should we do? He’s really good even if our people are already helping them,”

Vladimir was surprised for a moment, did he find out that they were the ones that killed his parents? He thought that might be the case.

“Let him do his thing, we won’t let him take us down, for now, we’ll lay low,” Vladimir informed, so they furrowed their eyebrows.

“What do you mean boss? We’ll just let the other Stone Kingdom die?” Zephyr curiously asked, so he glared at him.

“Do you have a problem with that? What’s important is that we escape and think about how we will defeat him,” Vladimir informed before walking out with Lowella on their main base planning for their revenge plotting on Zaveri’s life.

(PRESENT TIME, A week after Clara disappeared)

“Boss, this is your tenth bottle of Chivas, you have to stop,” Julian firmly said while stealing those new sets of Chivas Tristan got from the cellar in their basement.

“Give me that or I’ll blow your head,” Tristan coldly stated while looking for his gun, so Julian just sighed while taking it away from him.

It’s been a week since the wedding was canceled and their boss got drunk, it was the first time they saw him like this, so they don’t know how to deal with him just yet.

Everyone was doing everything they can to look for Clara, but they don’t have any evidence or even signs that someone must’ve taken her or maybe the fact that she probably left.

“Luke, stop acting like my dad,” He furiously said before drinking that other bottle, so Julian just looked from behind and noticed that Raven was there, frowning.

Genesis was nowhere since he was doing everything he could to look for Clara, “What should we do, dude? My handsomeness can’t take what is going on here,” Raven admitted.

Julian just bit his lower lip before walking away from their boss, he knows it’s not good for his health to drink all day without eating.

Holland and Jersey resigned after they heard what happened, everyone was just worried about her.

Julian was still surprised by the fact that their boss took a lot of people last night since almost everyone was informed about his misery.

They’re doing everything they can to take him down while he’s at his breakdown, but still, they can't handle him even if he’s drunk. Julian doesn’t know if he’s going to be worried about him or not.

“Let’s just leave him be, tomorrow we’ll try to help him get back on his feet,” Julian sighed before watching their boss get drunk in the living room.

“Or where’s Benjamin by the way?” Raven curiously asked, “Shouldn’t he be here dealing with the boss? He’s skilled at pissing him off,”

“Oh his woman woke up and is currently mourning her parent's death, she’s also worried about Clara so he’s consoling her,” Julian informed, so Raven furrowed his eyebrows.

“Isn’t he in love with Ma’am Clara?” He claimed, so Julian just smirked at him before shaking his head.

“Feelings change too dude, so don’t expect that you’ll just fall in love with one person,” He replied before looking at his phone.

“But I’ll never love someone else aside from Sachiel, I’ll be off, she gained an information I need to check,” Julian informed before walking away from there.
