Elena's POV
"The curse is not that simple and its not only about me flying around as a huge bird, the reason why I cant touch you and you cant touch me is because my skin is like poison to evryone else. If you get in contact with me for a long period of time you will die" I explained to him and although i could see he was listening attentively and he was genuinely interested in what I was saying, I could also see the terror clear in his eyes. He was probably wondering why he was mated to an abomiation and as much as I didnt want to lose him because of my truth I also knew he deserved to know everything.
"So you literally have a toxic touch" he said "now I understand why heat would worry you" he added
"But I think its too early to worry about hear because you dont have a wolf, right" he said and I could see he was trying to find comfort in my next words.
"I think meeting you helped me and my wolf somehow and the fact that I managed to recognise you shows me that she is alive in there and I will inevitably go into heat" I said
"Oh I see" he said
"But its not all sad news, I mean as much as I can kill with my touch I can also heal and bring someone back to life although there are terms and conditions to that" I said
"Everything that you are telling me is very scary, but at the same time I am grateful that you are telling me all this and giving me a chance to flee. However, jo katter how scary the reality is I will need t leave you, the moon goddess paired us for a very good reason and I am not going to challenge her reasons because i know she knows best" he said "and besides if I left you now your voice would haunt me all the days of my life" he added
"So that means we are stuck together" I said as joy filled my heart.
"So tell me why you are so worried about the matin ball?" He asked me
"Well, I am assuming that there will be a lot of hand shaking and a lot of hand kissing, as gross as that sounds. The last thing I want is someone reaching out to me in kindness and then getting hurt or killed in the process. I will probably be labelled a witch by the end of the night and they will be huntin me down with pitch to forks and torches." I said and he couldnt help laughing, Neil had the most beautiful laugh and it gave me a sense of de ja vu.
"Relax, I am so re we can think of something" he said and then seemed to be brainstorming some ideas
" What if you put on gloves and never take them off until the end of the night" he suggested and that was the best idea ever.
"Thats a great idea, I will just make an excuse to anyone who asks me why by telling them I have a phobia for germs or something" I said
"Thats what I am talking about, not what elsvxan you do?" He asked me and I loved the fact that he was so intereted in me despite everything that i had told him. This conversation had gone in the complete opposite direction as I thout it would.
"Well, I can read minds but thats still a skill that I have to develop. According to my father, I also have the power of telepathy which is another skill that I still need to train and develop" I said trying to think of something else "Oh and my tears can heal any wound except for heartbreak" I added and he laughed.
"I dont think anyone and not even the moongoddess can heal heartbreak" he said
"I am also kind of immortal" I added
"Woah that means no one can ever iill you right?" He asked and I nodded "well atleast now I wont have to worry about anyone killing you or trying to kill you" he said
"Yeah, if I die it would be of my own doing and by my own flame or it would be by something that I sensitive to but my father says even then I wont be dead, I would just be weakened" I said
"What else can you do?" He asked me
"I can see through anyone's clothes" I said trying hard to resist the urge to laugh at his suprised reaction
" You mean you can...?" Before he could finish his sentence I was already laughing my lungs out and losing my balance
"Yes I can see everything, its very disturbing really. Imagine seeing a bunch of old people walking aound naked?" I said laughing even more "the whole world is basically naked im my eyes" I said as tears steted spilling out of my eyes due to all the laughing I was doing. Neil just looked disturbed.
"Thats is so gross" he said
" You are missing the whole point" I said
"What point is that?"he asked me
"The point is I have already seen you naked" I said as I laughed further and he just looked uncomfortable and embarrased as he adjusted his clothes
"I am just joking" I said "but that would be a cool super power dont you think?" I asked him
"You are so weird" he said with a smile
"Thats what makes me so special" I said
" And I think thats what I like most about you" he said
"I havent told my father yet but I am sure he will be as happy to meet you as I was" I said as I remembered that telling my father about Neil could be the very thing that ruins this for me, but I couldnt tell Neil that and have him see my father in a negegative light before he even met him.
"I just hinted to my father that I had found you, and he seeemed too excited about that" he said and as he said that I saw a concerned expression on his face that concerned me as well
