The Life I Chose

The day i came on earth

Ariel opened her eyes slightly after being unconscious for almost a week, she looked at the ceiling and it was definitely a strange environment for her. She tried to sit up but her head was in pain.

“Hey!” Tracy came in rushing to help her but Ariel looked frightened when she saw Tracy coming close

“It’s okay, I wasn’t going to hurt you” Tracy assured her, Ariel looked at the woman before her. She looked like she was in her thirties she wondered if she could really trust her.

Ariel nodded her head and the woman came close to her helping her sit up in bed.

“Whats your name? Am Tracy” Tracy asked her but Ariel just shook her head.

“Come on you can trust me” Tracy said to her, Ariel thought about it and decided to lie to Tracy

“I don’t know” Ariel said to the woman looking down

“That’s okay wee can call you another one while you try to remember” She said to Ariel

“Thank you so much” Ariel replied to her

“Pleasure! Now why don’t you put on these clothes and join us for dinner” Tracy said as she walked out of the room

“thank you” Ariel replied as she saw Tracy walk away from the room

Ariel looked at her belly and it was showing a bump, she quickly got the dress which Tracy had put on the bed for her to wear.

Ariel walked out of the room and went out to the dining room, it was more like a farm where she was.

She looked around as she saw Tracy coming from the kitchen, “Why don’t you come close?” Tracy said to Ariel as walked to her.

“Hi Am James, Tracy’s husband” James introduced himself to Ariel, she nodded her head sitting down at the dining table

“So, you don’t remember anything about who you are my wife tells me?”  James said to her and Ariel just looked at her hands

“That’s fine we can call you another name while you are here” Tracy said to Ariel

“How about Kim? Do you like it?” Tracy said looking at Ariel and James to get their approval

“I think I can use it” Ariel said

“Great! You can use it for now as we try to found out about your family” Tracy said

“We will call you Kim” Tracy said and James nodded his head,

“I saw that you are pregnant” Tracy said and Ariel acted surprised

“Don’t worry am sure once we found out everything about who you are, we can be able to figure out everything” James said

“Thank you. Do you have any children?” Ariel asked

“No! We have none of our own” Tracy said and she seemed to be hurt by that fact

“Okay!”  Ariel said looking at her hands that she was playing with

James and Tracy reported the matter to the police and took her to the doctor who confirmed that there was nothing wrong with Ariel.

Ariel tried by all means to stay with them, she was brought in from Russia by Marcus three years and was forced to change her Name from Ivanna to Ariel.

She lived as a s*x worker but only for one specific man who had promised her that he could take her out of that place if she trusted him but ended up being pregnant.

When she found out that she pregnant she tried to call him but didn’t pick up and Liz found out.

Ariel lived with the smiths for months and she still pretended that she had forgotten who she was.

One night she woke up with contractions “Tracy! Tracy! I think the baby is coming” Ariel shouted as stood up from the bed

Tracy came rushing to after hearing her voice “Whats wrong?”  James asked her

“I think the baby is coming” Ariel screamed,

James rushed inside getting her bag ready for the hospital, Tracy helped her as the walked to the car.

As soon as they got in James stepped on it and went to hospital, as soon as they reached the hospital Ariel was taken to a room.

James and Tracy waited for hours just hearing her screams, they prayed for her safe delivery and when they finally heard a baby’s cry, they both rejoiced.

The doctor came out of the room his face looking like he had bad news, “Doctor is Kim and the baby okay?” Tracy asked going closer

“Yes, they are both fine. Kim would like to see you” The doctor said and the smiths rushed in to the room. They found Ariel was laying there in a pool of blood and breathing heavily

“Kim? You wanted to see us” Tracy said holding Ariel’s hand

“Can I see my baby?” Ariel said and James brought the baby close, Ariel held her baby and cried. “I don’t think I will make it” Ariel cried out

“Sweetie don’t say that you will be just fine” Tracy said to Ariel

“James and Tracy, can you promise me that you will take care of her?” Ariel asked them

“Kim you will be fine.” James said

“Thank you for everything you have done for me.” Ariel said as the life slowly left her body

“Please take care of my baby! Love her like you would love your own child. Please you are the only family I have, I have a box in my room please give her the necklace and call her Darlene” Ariel pleaded with them even as she struggled to breathe

“we will give her all the love she deserves” Tracy and James nodded their heads in agreement and Ariel took her last breath closing her eyes as tears fell from her eyes.

Tracy went and held her close crying, James took the baby away from Ariel as the doctors came in pronouncing her dead.

Tracy and James held the funeral for Ariel and buried her on their farm because they knew nothing about her.
