Whether Vivian liked the alpha or not, had nothing to do with me. The alpha and I had both rejected each other, which meant whoever would be in our life, we did not have any say in it.
"I thought you were after the beta," I asked quietly while playing with my hands.
“It seemed like the beta had a liking for you, so you can have him alone.” The corner of her lips lifted. "The beta is stubborn. No matter how many times I told him he stood no chance, he would not stop. Plus there are rumors beside him. I did not believe any of them were true."
So the beta was expecting too much. He believed that Vivian had feelings for him when in fact, her feelings were intended for the alpha.
