I already finished taking a bath and changed into my white polo shirt and black skirt. These were the clothes the alpha had chosen for me, and I loved them so much. The fabric felt expensive and it was indeed costly. These were the most expensive clothes I owned so far, and someday, I would be able to acquire more using my hard-earned money and not just something that was given by the alpha.
‘How would you do that when you could not even renovate your room? That was the priority, right?’ my wolf interjected.
I rolled my eyes at her. ‘I am not forgetting that, okay?’
My eyes darted back to the other occupants of the room—Mom. If only she would say something or anything. But she wasn’t. She was busy folding the blankets and piling the pillows.
Mom was still mad, and so was I.
