Callum sat still with his gaze fixed on the wall, many thoughts kept roaming his head. He saw that look and he recognized it. It is the same one his brother had that made Callum hasten his decision. He should have done a counter attack the minute he had the chance to. Waiting this long will cost him a lot.
One of the elders that had followed him back home noisily cleared his throat. Callum sighed tiredly. “Do you have something to say, Elder James?”
Elder James hummed in response. “I do have something to say and I believe I speak for all of us here when I say your nephew's attitude today was outrageous. Our families have been known to survive with these taxes. He can’t just wake up one day and deprive us of it.”
