Talking to Amber after I managed to relieve the earlier tension was smoother than I expected; he talked about his day and Mia. I was glad that he was getting along with his family, though his relationship with Ember is still rocky, but he hits off with Mia almost immediately. Well, Mia’s always been outgoing, so I guess that helps too. His subtle chuckle hides the dangerous glint in his eyes. The way he curled his lips after staring hard at me would often make me feel strange and a little shy, but I welcomed it all. Even when he kissed me while I was distracted with my thoughts, I found myself welcoming it all, slowly reaching for his neck as he deepened the kiss.
