Prologue
“Train harder babes! You can do this! Get off that ground and get moving. Yes throw that punch harder! Are you letting them get away with it? You are not a quitter my love! Get that ass off the ground! Gather your strength and hatred then use it as fuel. Yes yes, great job!” All these words echoed through out the training grounds as she sweat hard while training.
Already going through the sixth month having been declared missing and probably dead, after being found by this stranger, she has been training for that long.
Though still very much alive, she couldn’t just stroll back casually to her family because she was at risk of being killed in cold blood like her sister was.
Having discovered who wants her head on the platter, she was furious enough to want revenge. This mysterious stranger has been more than a stranger to her but family.
Though she discovered what his real identity was, she wasn’t scared but rather got attracted to him. After they finished training, he pulled her closer to his chest, looked her in the eye as he passionately kissed her.
Within a few months they had become lovers. “Hon, I feel I’m ready now. I don’t wanna drag this any longer. I want to go on my mission.” she exclaimed.
He shook his head. “Not yet my love. You are still lacking some agility. You need to be swift. I feel you are still holding back a lot.” He said to her. Her shoulders slumped down. “But babe…” she began to counter but was cut off. “No buts. I don’t wanna release you out there while still not sure if you could handle the mission. I can’t lose you.” he bellowed.
She knew he was right. She was getting frustrated, but he was right. If she undertook her mission without a proper training or right graduation, she might lose it all including her life.
She sat down on the bench frustrated. She thought she was giving it her all but it seems no matter how much she tried she wasn’t getting there. She cupped her face and sighed deeply. ‘Then I guess there’s only one alternative.’ She thought to herself.
She snapped her head and faced him. She gently took his hands into hers and looked him straight in the eyes. “I guess there’s only one alternative to make me ready for the mission then babe.” She whispered to him softly. “Are you sure about that love?” he asked back.
“You know there’s no turning back from it right? You will be set for life, you know that right?” she nodded. “What about your family?” he asked again. “As long as I know my parents are okay and my nephews are back with them I’ll live with it. Besides I’ll always be watching over them. They already think I’m dead anyways.” She said with sadness all over her face.
He pulled her into a bear hug, crushing her bones and they both chuckled as she whimpered. “Plus I will not be alone now. I’ll be gaining a family in you. She breathed in his neck. He shivered as her breath fanned his neck, creating a sensual sensation. He gently pushed her off his body and cupped her face as he lovingly adored her.
“I’ll be the luckiest man on earth to have you in my life. We will do this together. I just hope you are strong enough to survive this because it can be very dangerous.” He said dejectedly.
What she was requesting was not automatic or guaranteed to work. It might kill her but if she is strong enough both physically and emotionally, she might just survive it. If she doesn’t, he wasn’t sure if he could live with himself. He might as well just take his life, if she dies. He knew he wouldn't die though, he was only wishing he would succeed in taking his life, he knew he was immortal.
Being the only one of his kind in the Southern region of Africa, he desired to multiply and regenerate but he wouldn't desire that much more than the life of the first woman who ever stole his heart. He got up, picked her up bridal style and walked inside the house with her in his arms. Praying and wishing that what they are about to venture into would succeed without jeopardizing his woman's life.
