CHAPTER 8 STELLA’S POV “We should really go and have you take the picture for your banner,” I told Erman after Faith left the office in the middle of that awkward moment.   “Yea, you are right,” He said adjusting his collar and tie.   We walked to the photoshoot room. Gael was there already waiting for the first customer. Gael was very talented in photography and each picture he takes is worth a 1000 words.   “Go right over there Mr.” He pointed at Erman and I nodded at him to tell him that it is alright.   “Sure,” He mumbled going at the other side so that his picture could be taken.                                                      After the first shot, I realized that his tie was not well placed therefore I did him that honor of making his tie. I also gave him a pep talk telling him how he would turn out to be a great governor and after this, we were able to take the best pictures of him that shouted words like he is bold and he will be the best Governor our town has ever heard of. I had 100% faith in him and since he come to us, I would surely do all I can to make sure that he becomes the Governor for real.   I have ever been a student leader in our university and I know my way around politics. Deep down, I was ready to dive in and help him in his campaign. I love politics and politics loves me. I know when he is by my side, he will definitely win the election.   Anyway, I was waiting for him to say something that I always wanted to hear from him. If he says that, then I would be by his side supporting him. With me by his side, he would surely win. You have heard of that quote right, the secret behind a successful man is that beautiful woman by his side who has helped him up. Right?   Erman was pleased with the pictures. I had just taken the pictures to the graphic designer Monica but he received an urgent call therefore he had to leave. Since he also wanted to see his banner in the same day, we had to exchange number so that I could send him a sample via his w******p account.   I clearly didn’t want him to leave because after that, I found myself missing him. I didn’t enjoy being at work today like the way I normally enjoy. He has really changed me. Erman has changed me because all I think about right now is that is that I should have left with him.   “You look bored, besides, sorry about that moment in the office,” Faith come to where I was to check up on me and to also apologize.   “No problem.” I mumbled.   “He is into you by the way, I could see the way he looked at you,” Faith whispered to my ears.   “No you are lying, he cannot be into me.” I wished that what she was saying was the truth because I also felt that was about him and I cannot hide it anymore.   “I am telling the truth. You have to believe me, I know what I saw,” She countered.   “Alright,” I jested.   “You should take some time off, I will manage the place. You seemed down. “Faith was all concerned about me.   “I am not down. I will just stay here till evening.” I told her.   “Okay then, if you insist,” She said.   I walked back to my office and busied myself with the finances but I was so distracted. All I could think of was the way a small contact with Erman had sent a wave of sweet shivers inhabiting my entire body from the tip of my hair to the smallest toe of my feet.   I was still drooling over him when my door was opened suddenly. I gasped in shock and looked at the door only to see Monica walking in with a banner on his hand.   “Gosh you scared me,” I told her.   “Sorry ma’am, I saw your door open and I chose to come in to show you this banner. I need your approval on it ma’am,” She mumbled.   “Alright, let me have a look,” I requested her and she handed me the banner.   “I love this. Good work Monica,” I said after some minutes of going through it to ensure that it was all good.   “Thank you ma’am,” She said with a smile etched on her face.   “Please send me a soft copy version so that I can send it to our client,” I told her and she nodded leaving the office.   The girl is really talented. With that good banner, I can as well say that Erman has already won the governor position in the fourth coming election.   Monica sent me the soft copy version and since it was a good one, I sent it to Erman right way on his w******p account. I was anxious and I waited for his reply on the same.   When I saw him typing back, I was excited as if I had just uncovered the most priceless gem in the whole dam galaxy.   “You look sexy in that profile picture,” He started with the flirting.   “Thank you, but please check on the banner and tell me what you think,” I replied to him. My heart was beating faster its normal speed in anticipation.   “Wow, smiley face, smiley face. I love the banner. Good job my dear.” He replied to me.   “Thank you,” I replied to him.   “Stella, you deserve lunch on this. I am coming to pick you up in the next ten minutes and I will take you for an early lunch,” He replied back.   I was about to say that I am still working but he sent another text saying that he is not going to take a no for an answer. Thus, I had to go for lunch with him.                                                                       ** Faith looked at me with that eye saying. I told you to go home but you didn’t listen, look at how you are leaving right now.   “I will see you later,” That is all I said as I stepped out of the cyber. This is really my first time leaving at this hour. I am the one who is used to leaving the office past six. I am kind of a workaholic, let me not say that because I love my job so much. Creating it is the best thing that ever happened to me.   I met Erman outside the cyber. He was very happy to see me.   “I thought you wouldn’t come,” He jested.   “Well, who can say no to free lunch,” I giggled and got into the car right after he pulled the door open for me.   “Is that all, just admit that you missed me and you want to have a good time with me,” He insisted as he drove out of the parking lot.   “Well, you are the one who missed me. I was not the one who asked you to come over for lunch,” I defended myself.   “Well, you officially won the argument. I missed you and this is a way of rewarding you for making the best banner in the whole damn galaxy,” He jested.   “Thank you sir,” I said with a small smile perking up my lips.   We talked about random things as we headed to The White Castle Hotel. This is among the five star hotel in town. I have been here with Faith as we discussed several business things. We normally treat ourselves, we are not the type of girl to wait on men to treat us out. We work hard to pay bills and also to have fun.   We got to the elevator which took us to the top floor where there was the Hindu restaurant as a sub section of the hotel. We ordered a bowl of battered chicken with some nun and vegetable rice.   We enjoyed lunch and he told me of how much he really wanted to win the election. He did not have a manager by then and he needed to find one as soon as possible.   I was about to say that I could be his campaign manager but remembering that he had not said the word, I chose to remain silent over it.   The meal was such a delicacy and we left the hotel after praising the chef. We got back to the car and I was there requesting him to take me home when he out of the blues killed me abruptly and I could feel his tongue against mine. I chose to let free and kissed him back. I was going to enjoy this moment even if I would regret it later.   He pulled back and I was scared of what had happened but when he said this three words, my heart was full.   He simply said, “I love you Stella,” I had really been dying to hear this from his mouth.
