Part Two – Chapter Two
Lilly’s Point of view.
Jake and I packed up the tent into the car, then added the suitcases, this had been a long time coming, and he was so happy right now. He had, for years begged me to take him to a race, I had always refused, I could not face going back, it was still to painful, but this year, I had relented, his main Christmas present was Tickets for the Race weekend at Silverstone, along with the charity day on the Thursday. Jake grinned at me, as he got into the passenger side of the car.
He would not be there, he had all but disappeared six months after I had left. My heart sank and I could feel the familiar tears well up in my eyes.
“Come on Mam, hurry up” I looked at the face of my beloved Son, he was 15 years old, and grew more like his father
