Waverly's POV

We pull up to a cabin at the basd of a moutain area. I unbuckle my seat belt and get out of the truck and look around. It is beautiful. Trees everywhere, a clear blue lake, and then I noticed 2 four wheelers off to the side of the cabin. I look back at Dean, " This place is beautiful."

Dean smiles at me, " Thanks it use to be my Grandpa's old place. So Princess what would you like to do?"

I give him a stern look, " Please don't call me that. And since this is your place you pick."

I watch as he looks around and then heads to the four wheels. I gulp, " Uhm i have never ridden on one before."

He gives me a look of surprise then gives me another wide smile and I feel my knees go weak a little.

I ignore the feeling and walk toward him. He jumps on one and then extends his hand for me to take. I look at his hand and then back at him, " Promise nothing bad will happen?"

He smirks then makes an X over his heart with his other hand, " I cross my heart hope to die stick a needle in my eye. I won't let anything ever happen to you."

I grab his hand and jump behind him. I scoot close and then he takes my arms and place them around him.

He starts up the four wheeler and yells, " Hang on tight."

I tighten my grip around him as we lurch forward into the trees on a dirt path.

We speed up the mountain and I feel at ease. Dean hollers, " I need you to hang on really tight we are about to make a jump."

I do as he says and basically plaster myself to him like a second skin. He speeds up the wheeler as we come to the jump.

I hold on tighter than ever as we sail through the air. As soon we landed I let out a loud laugh. I could feel that Dean was slowing us down. I notice we are only a quarter of the way up the mountain and that we are in a small clearing.

Dean parked us underneath a tree and then helped me off the four wheeler. I still had my hand in his and my heart begnis to flutter.

What is going on with my body? First my knees go weak, now my heart flutters? What is next I will have an out of body experience?

Dean lets go of my hand as we walk into the clearing. He looks at me and then sinks to the grass to lay on his back. He grabs my hand to pull me down next to him. I lay next to him, "Are we hiding from someone?"

He looks at me with his beautiful grey eyes, " No we are not hiding. We are looking at the clouds."

He looks back at the sky and then raises his hand to point at a cloud, " See that one looks like a turtle."

I look and see the cloud. I then raise my hand and point to one, " That one looks like a snow cone."

Dean laughs and then we fall into silence as we watch the clouds for awhile. It was nice to get away from everything and relax.

After a few more moments in silence I finally speak, " My life has been a lie the whole time."

Dean sits up and looks at me so I that I know I have attention. I sit up and sigh, " My mother isn't even my mother. I found out I have two fathers. One died saving my other father and I. My grandparents are actually my Uncle and Aunt. I just rejected my mate who I thought wanted a future with me but instead just wanted the Crown. All I wanna do is restart the day and forget everything happened."

Dean looks back at the clouds then at me, " If you wanted that then you would have never known the truth. I am sure your family had good reason for what they did but you know they did it because they love you."

I smile, " And what about your brother doing what he did?"

He turns to look at me more, " There is no excuse for him. I will tell you that our Father sank his teeth into him when we were younger to mold him into this person I don't even know anymore. My brother and I were so close when we were little but then everything changed when we hit 10. My father started spending so much time with Kaden, he would say he was training him to be Alpha. I would see Father every other week after Council meetings where he would speak to me about the duties I would be taking over. Everything between my brother and me changed. That was not me making an excuse for him. You shared something with me and I wanted to share something of myself with you."

No one had ever done that for me. He opened up with me.

I looked at him and wanted to kiss him. So I did. I pulled his face close to mine and placed my lips on his.

His lips were firm and yet delicate with mine. I felt him place his hand on my cheek as he deepened our kiss.

I moaned at the taste of him, he tasted like honey.

I would have continued to kiss him but I was pulled away and heard a growl.

I looked at who was pulling me and saw Kaden who looked pissed.

He growled at Dean, " WHAT THE HELL BROTHER???"

Kaden's POV

It took me longer than expected to find where Dean had taken her. There were only a few places that Dean would go to have fun as he put it. His favorite place was Grandpa's old cabin that he left Dean after his passing.

I had jumped in my Jeep and headed that way as fast as I could. I need to find them to talk Waverly out of this rejection.

I needed to convince her that what I said was all a lie and make up some bullshit about how I am scared of commitment. Most chicks bought that line.

I finally made it to the cabin and saw one of the wheelers missing and I knew where he had taken her.

I jumped on the other one and took off up the trail to the clearing.

When I got to the clearing I saw my brother kissing my mate. I saw black and charged up to them pulling Waverly away from Dean.

I growled, "WHAT THE HELL BROTHER??"

Waverly removes herself from my grip and Dean stands up fast. He moves to help Waverly up but I block him. I push him back, " I told you to leave MY MATE alone and yet I find you here with your paws all over her."

Waverly puts herself between us, " I kissed him! As for me being your mate did you forget that I rejected you less than two hours ago. You have NO claim on me anymore."

I look at her and then dart my eyes over at Dean who is giving me a death glare. I growl again and try to move pass Waverly but she blocks me again.

I stare into her brown eyes, " Step aside mate."

She pushes me away with force which knocks me to the ground. I am shocked that a meer female had that amount of strength could move me let alone cause me to fall to the ground.

I growl at her and she growls back, " I AM NOT YOUR MATE!!"

I quickly stand back up and go to take a step to her. I hear Dean growl at me, " Take another step forward Kaden and you will regret it."

I look back at Dean, " You dare threaten your future Alpha?"

Dean laughs, " It is not a threat. You take that step Kaden and I promise you a world of pain."

It was my turn to laugh, " You think you can take me on brother?"

Dean spits at me, " I know I can but I won't reduce myself to a MUTT to disgrace myself by fighting in front of our Princess."

I look at Waverly who is giving me a look of disgust then I flash my eyes back to Dean.

I fight the urge to shift but instead to use the words Father uses on Dean whenever he wants to get Dean to back down from something.

I smile at Dean wickedly, " Dean you are nothing but a knock-off version of me. You will NEVER be as good as me at anything. You are nothing but wasted DNA."

I see him flinch and I continue, " You talk about how you don't want to disgrace yourself in front of our Princess but you are a disgrace to our family and Pack."

I look back at Waverly, " You and I are not done yet."

I take one last look at Dean before I turn my back on him and leave.

I mount the wheeler and head back to my Jeep thinking to myself, ' She thinks she can just get away from me that easily. Well Princess you have another thing coming.'
