LUKE'S POV
After blowing out the fire, I followed Damon into the tent ready to rest for the night. I found him adjusting his sleeping bag. This was going to be the first time I would actually see him sleeping. The atmosphere was pretty awkward and I was confused about if I was supposed to comment on our earlier conversation or completely ignore it. Deciding against it, I bid him goodnight, which was received in complete silence.
I was at the brink of completely falling asleep when I heard the quiet sniffles from Damon’s side of the tent.
Slowly I crawled over to his side and gave him a hug. No words were exchanged and that was how we spent the night till the following morning.
